You want stylists to run their mouths, not only to other stylists but customers, when you called to ask for directions? Then, be told it's over a hour wait for a haircut when NO ONE ELSE is in the lobby but you? Professionalism? My style for hair cuts has been to get a trim every 6ish months to maintain my 'mermaid' hair as I call it. I was so ready for a change and feeling nervous about getting a blunt cut, with more than a couple inches taken off. I asked my friends who are former stylists by profession and this specific Fantastic Sams was the recommendation. I was told to go to this location and see anyone, and that's what I did! My waxer a couple days before said 'good luck, I would not go to a place like that for my haircut' and I cannot wait to see her again to show her how awesome it turned out. I forgot the name of the stylist who helped me, she was so kind, and every stylist there was chatty and friendly, even those not helping me. This place is horrible... I asked for a trim and Becky/Rebecca cut my hair. Not only did she cut off 6-8 INCHES OFF WHEN I ASKED FOR A TRIM. SHE TRIED TO COVER IT UP! She left the top layer longer to cover up where she cut my hair completely off. I don't understand how you can accidentally cut 6-8 inches off and then cover it up but not actually cutting the rest of my hair. I hope no one uses this mean person with no hair cutting skills what so ever! I have been by the store to make sure she has a license. They said she does but I don't believe you could have a license and mess up this bad. She was at the store both times I came in and she NEVER SAID SORRY!! If I could give this salon 0 stars, I would. I have been a customer and Sarah has been cutting my hair for 10 years. I always tip $20, even on a $17 haircut, and it is not appreciated. The stylists seem stressed out, they are rude, and gossip. The salon is dirty. I even got lice from this salon many years ago. Today I called to schedule an appointment and the person who answered the phone was rude. I called to ask if Sarah was available for a cut and color and the person who I was speaking with asked Sarah, I was trying to explain what I wanted and the person cut me off and said "Sarah is busy and you can tell her when you get here". I said "excuse me" and asked what that person name was and she laughed. I asked her to put Sarah on the phone- since Sarah is the manager and Sarah yelled "I'm busy", then got on the phone and confirmed the appointment. After thinking about their poor customer service skills, I decided to call back and cancel. When I called to cancel (instead of not showing up like I wanted) the person canceled and just hung up on me. Poor customer service skills! Unprofessional! This is not the first time I have had an issue with employees being rude. Anytime I get color from this salon, I don't love it. I like my cut 75% of the time. Even thought I don't love my cut and color, to be honest I don't love my hair so it's not Sarah's fault completely. My husband and I will never go to this salon again, I don't recommend it. Too bad for Sarah as I am a big tipper. I hope the owner reads this review- your staff sucks. Sarah seems bored and unhappy. Grace is the only employee who is professional and seems to like her job. This used to be my go to place to get my hair cut, I love my stylist that I always got my hair cut by and the prices are good. I have been going here for years! This place has reallllllly went down hill! It was always a pleasure trip every time I went there until recently. The vibe you get when you go in there isn't good, you can feel the tension as soon as you walk in the door! ! ! When you walk in you can stand at the counter for 5 minutes before you are asked how you can be helped. The phone rings and rings when you call to get an appointment and they just aren't friendly, much like you are bothering them when you call to set an appointment. I believe her name is Grace, she is awful and I would never let her touch my hair! She works on 2-3 clients at a time and never gives one client her full attention! Grace left eyebrow tint on my mothers eyebrows waaaay to long and they were so dark brown it looked like sharpie marker, my mom is blonde hair blue eyes! So it looked HORRRRRRIBLE! I have seen her timer go off for clients hair she was coloring and she did nothing she continued to cut the clients hair that was in her chair while her other clients hair was most likely frying .... I have been to this location quite a few times over the years. The 2nd to last time I went here I had a great haircut and really enjoyed the girl that cut my hair. However, this last time I went to get my roots colored. I was very busy between working and moving so I thought it would be a quick and easy event. I wasn't overly pleased with the girl that colored my hair. I didn't feel she was very professional ,she didn't even tell me her name. Of course I always tip well which I did. I just felt that the cleanliness of the salon have really dropped off. As well as everyone working that day seemed like they can hardly wait to get out of there and not really wanting to be there. Just not the great hair experience that you would want to have. When you go to get your hair done you want it to be a nice experience. It's not really very in expensive either. Scheduled an appointment today for my 2.5 year old son. My son started crying when his name got called and his stylist curtly stated that she couldn't cut him unless he calmed down. I informed her that at other salons I usually hold him on my lap but she shook her head, offered no sympathy and walked over to her chair. My son has a lot of anxiety about haircuts and usually cries at the beginning. The only good thing about the experience was an older man who worked there who came over to try and cheer up my son. Roya delivered on all three. For $23.99, I received a shampoo and conditioning, cut, blowdry, flat iron, and style. She was quick, exact, and delivered the exact look that I wanted. This was a haircut/service that I would have easily spent $80 for in a salon. I was impressed to find that Fantastic Sam's provides waxing services as well. For younger girls they do feather and tinsel extensions, and full color and highlights is available starting at $39.99. Throughout my haircut, I observed other staff members cleaning the salon, and was very impressed with the overall cleanliness and appearance of the location. This was my first time coming to this place and I was amazed, there are not many hair salon that has family type of atmosphere. All of the employees look very happy and know each other for a long time, they are like family to each other. I had Maurece colored my hair and he was amazing. It took a long time cause I have very black hair and I had colored in the past so the chemical took sometimes to work but he was so patient. I love my hair color now. The owner may need to invest on a better caster dryer though as it went out several times. I am glad I went to this place and will go back for touch up. I was a little nervous since my hair was delicate and fried due to the bleach at the other salon but I was desperate and in need of some help before a family reunion.
