Super good drinks! Our drinks were perfect, just enough boba, and not too much ice! I don't like getting drinks anywhere else now.

I also tried the fresh rolls and those were delicious! Fresh and flavorful. My son loved them as well! We ordered online and our order was ready promptly at the time estimated. The shop itself is a good size located in an older strip mall.

Because of that, I usually don't write bad reviews. But I'm writing this because I genuinely want the owner to read it and understand. I love my culture and our food, and everywhere I go I always try Vietnamese restaurants. I chose this place because it looked like a mom-and-pop shop, and I really like supporting local businesses. We dined in during lunchtime, and it wasn't very busy, so we got seated right away. We ordered: - Rice with Grilled Beef: it tasted good and the portion was decent. We added a fried egg on top for $2.45. Everything was okay, but the color of the pickled vegetables didn't look fresh to me. - Vermicelli with Grilled Shrimp, Pork, and Egg Rolls: also a decent bowl, no big complaints. But I asked for no bean sprouts, the server repeated it to confirm, and it still came out with bean sprouts. Now here's the part that really disappointed me. Everywhere I've been, when you order a rice plate, it usually comes with a small side of soup. This place didn't, so we decided to order one. I knew we would be charged for it, and that's fine. But $8 for a small bowl of beef broth -- barely around 4 oz -- is honestly outrageous. I understand pho broth takes a lot of time, effort, ingredients, and experience. I respect that. But this? This didn't feel reasonable at all. I'm not expecting anything to be given for free just because I'm Vietnamese and I speak Vietnamese when I order. Even if they offered, I wouldn't take it. That's not the point. The point is, I felt really disappointed -- because this is my own people, and it made me feel like I got taken advantage of by my own people. I'm speaking up like this not to bash a small business, but because I want them to understand: every dollar customers spend is money they work hard for. You shouldn't take advantage of that or use excuses to raise prices like this. And what made it worse is that I've heard from locals who've been there and personally know the owner that "they only do that to people from out of town." That honestly made me even more upset. You might make extra money from one visit, but you lose trust permanently.

The SHRIMP SPRING ROLLS, however, left much to be desired. We unfortunately had to finally break open the spring roll wrap and eat only the shrimp out of it. Way too many noodles and the wrap was so chewy you could barely eat it let alone enjoy it. The WATER BOTTLE is how they serve their water to their guests. The PHO WITH ROUND EYE STEAK AND SOFT TENDON was good. The broth was excellent. The vegetables very fresh. The eye was quite tough, and having soft tendon before, it wasn't soft and sweet as previous establishments have. There were hard pieces and it was quite chewy. As you can see from the pictures, they do not "fancy the plates" with decoration or garnish. Very plain. Overall, it was a good experience. I will go back, but I will definitely not be having the spring rolls. As for the establishment itself, it was clean, but very basic.

I ordered a regular seafood pho which came out in a smaller bowl compared to my husband's regular size. Didn't seem consistent, my daughter also ordered a regular meatball pho and the bowl was small too. I'm not sure if it's the type of pho you order, but $16 for seafood pho in this size with shrimp and imitation crab meat, is not worth the price. Definitely not what I'm used to. The egg rolls were pretty good. And customer service was good as well. We may return to try their banh mi sandwiches in the future.

The only downside is that when we asked if they knew when their BOGO day was, they were highly unaware of any sort of deal. First they acted as if they had never heard the term BOGO in their lives.... Finally after spelling out what the acronym means they merely offered us to their app stating they didn't know when the day was & if it was a real deal that we would have to order thru the app in order to get it. Maybe they should be a tad bit more knowledgeable! ESPECIALLY since I noticed there was a promo for the CareBear drinks! It was 2 for $9! & guess how much one rang up for on its own!? EIGHT FIFTY! ($8.50) sounds like a BOGO deal to me! Anyway! The moment I walked in I felt as if I was in a shop on Convoy, in San Diego, California. IYKYK! That's how amazing the overall "ambiance" (strictly set by decor) was. The little claw machines filled with niche random toys, the games table where you can borrow a table top, card or board game. I knew I was about to get some GOOD boba!!!! When I learned they had 2 different flavors of traditional tapioca pearls (AMAZING since I do not like places that only sells that popping boba stuff, feels far too gentrified.) The girl got me a lovely sized sample amount of both their Brown sugar & Honey boba pearls! I loved them BOTH! It was hard to choose, the drink to put them in was almost hard until I saw the green care bear drink advertised. Now, I want this place to stay in business so I'm OK with not knocking any stars off for this, but I was absolutely LIVID when I realized.. you do not get the cup in the picture that actually MATCHES THE FRACKING DRINK YOU ORDER!!!! UPSET!!!! I scoffed at it out loud when I noticed, but didn't make a huge fuss bc I can tell it's obviously a franchisor who makes the major menu & collabs decisions, so complaining to the (essentially) small business franchisee owner, they can't do anything about that, it's out of there hands. So if I could get in the ear of who COULD make a change to that!! regardless, I would've chose a drink that matched one of the only 2 colors out of the 5 drinks they advertised. Why make ALL drinks that are ordered medium & large drinks be in the care bear cups (largest being grumpy, NOT EVERYONE IS A GRUMP PERSON WHAT THE HECK) WHERE IS THE EXCLUSION for THE PROMO!? Ugh if y'all (y'all as in the franchisors decision makers!!!!) were going to be this daggone lazy, at LEAST give us an up charge option!!!! I would've paid like an extra maybe $10 for a **GLASS, REUSABLE** version of the Care Bears cups that y'all advertised!!!! Aside from all that, my Matcha Lucky was absolutely DIVINELY DELICIOUS. Such amazing quality I wish I got the large!!!! I want it again but ALSO want to try the Mango Cloud !!!! 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!!!!

Let me tell you, the ones who gave low reviews are haters and haters will always hate. This place is a real gem and a great addition to the community! From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by the friendliest staff. The owners Timora and Timothy were welcoming and engaging! They were super helpful in explaining all the different drink options (because let's be honest, the menu can be overwhelming at first!). They were patient and answered all my questions with a smile, making me feel totally welcome and it was really a FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE! Speaking of the menu, Kung Fu Tea doesn't mess around and especially since there are over 300 across the USA, Canada, Cambodia, Japan & Thailand. They have a mind-boggling variety of bubble tea flavors to choose from like a Black (Earl Gray) Tea, (Jasmine) Green, Oolong Tea and Thai Tea. They have classics like taro (black or green) milk tea and milk tea, trendy topping options like milk cap and popping boba. Plus, everything is surprisingly affordable! You won't break the bank satisfying your boba cravings here! Now, onto the important part: the taste! My drink (I went for a Cocoa Cream Wow that includes the brown sugar boba, lactaid or oat milk option and a sprinkle of chocolate powder) was absolutely phenomenal. My friend got the Mango Green tea and the green tea itself was perfectly brewed and made, not too sweet, but if it was too sweet they're able to adjust sugar level, amount of toppings or bitter tasting tea, and the tapioca boba were sweet, chewy and delightful. The staff informed me about the Kung Fu Tea app, where I am able to earn points towards free drinks, toppings, upgrades, some cool swag and from the app you can do delivery too! There is even a drive thru at this location, so I don't even have to leave my car to get a drink! Overall, Kung Fu Tea Bossier City is a total winner in my book. If you're looking for a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and a fantastic selection of delicious and affordable bubble tea, this is your new go-to spot! Especially if you play Pokémon Go; the store is a Pokemon Gym! Seriously, what are you waiting for? Check out my photos and get your boba fix on! tl;dr Check out Kung Fu Tea Bossier City, from their friendly staff, affordable and variety of drinks they offer!
