By far the best cake I have ever had. It was a chocolate type cake with buttercream frosting, chocolate ganache and fresh bananas. It was so good and looked very nice too. My one year anniversary was a few weeks ago and of course we saved our topper in the freezer as tradition says to. Great, beautiful cake! I ordered a birthday cake for my wife about four days ahead of time. No scheduling issues, a pleasant, helpful person on the phone to help me brainstorm the flavors and appearance we wanted, and the pickup was nice and easy. The cake itself was very heavy but *very* beautiful (someone posted their three-tier white and black cake on yelp previously -- we got the middle tier), with chocolate cake and two flavors of chocolate mousse in the middle. Wonderful degree of lightness to it. Everyone who got a slice praised the flavor and quality, and I'd certainly agree -- especially for the price, a reasonable $78. For a cake of this size and quality (at least 12-14 servings), that's a very manageable price. We'll be coming back! read more

Some items like the 8 ingredient pound cake was moist and flavor full other items like all the hand pies had dry fillings and need improvement. I have used Fantasy for several special occassions, and the cakes are perfect every time. Leslie and Joyce are great to work with and always know what you're talking about, even if you don't. They do any theme you want, from simple gourmet styles to elaborate over the top ones, and they have a menu of various cake flavors and fillings (I always choose the while satin cake). They are not cheap, but they are incrdedibly good. They just introduced a new 'group' of cakes, called broke ass cakes, for those on a tighter budget. These are more in line with a bakery wedding cake price, rather than a designer wedding cake. Still, really good, just not as elaborate. They're on a quiet charming commercial street in South Pasadena, and they just moved there from the old Whittier Location. Very near the 110 Freeway, so it's easy on and off. read more
