Hot Air Balloon theme with macaroons and cake pops!

How does Whisked only have 4 reviews?! I was in touch with Jasmine and I ordered desserts (a 2 tiered cake, macaroons, cake pops, and cupcakes) from Whisked for my son's first birthday event and I need to say it DID NOT disappoint! I only had a chance to eat the cake and it was DELICIOUS! It wasn't overly sweet, it was just perfect! I would highly recommend and I would love to place my cake orders from Whisked going forward for any occasion I need! Thank you, Jasmine!!

Luckily Suzy's Sweets came up as an option. The best baklava I've ever had. Macaroons were amazing too. The shop is very cute. Family owned and operated. The mom, dad, and son are so friendly. The dad kept insisting I try everything. My family loved them. I kept the baklava for my house. It's almost gone. I will definitely go back when I'm in the area. My nephew, who lives in the area has the business card and will definitely be visiting in the future. You can't go wrong at this place. Super cute, family owned. Very nice people very good products. Enjoy. Must try.

I had been waiting for a truly special occasion to order this cake, and my mom's 70th birthday was the perfect moment. Ordering was super easy--I placed my order online four days before the event and scheduled a convenient pickup time. Just note, this cake requires at least two days' advance notice. It's a substantial cake, both in size and weight, and can easily feed 25 people. Its simple design provides a perfect canvas for adding flowers or decorations of your choice. My mom and all her guests absolutely loved this heavenly, nostalgic cake, which brought back sweet memories of desserts they grew up enjoying in Syria and Lebanon.

Old Town Pasadena, California…read more Next to Nana's Green Tea, Delight is A very good French bakery, no breads, but Delight feeds the pastry hunger in me -- all the pastries, cakes and gelati are excellent. There is a smallish macaron counter with popular flavors and can be boxed up to bring home. The house made sandwiches (focaccia), breakfasts and lunch items are very good to excellent also and with great prices. With about 15 tables (a couple of tables for larger groups), there's a steady stream of people here and it would be a matter of time when lines will form out the door. Service is super attentive. The minute you come in the person behind the counter comes to assist. Ohhh almost forgot, savory pastries (caprese and artichoke and cheese) are super well-made and the crusts delightfully light and crispy :-) I keep coming back. End of Yelp.

CAPRESE DANISH: 5/5. Perfectly balanced flavors. Tomatoes were fresh and the balsamic was bright. HAM AND CHEESE CROISSANT: 4/5. I know it would have been SO good if it were warmed up and the cheese were a little melty. KOUIGN AMANN: 3/5. My favorite pastry. Perhaps a personal preference, but I wish the sugar were a little more caramelized. It also was not as rich as I am accustomed to this pastry being.

Came here for the souffle pancakes and they didn't disappoint!…read more My party of 3 stopped by Saturday afternoon 2:30 pm and it wasn't crowded. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose outdoor since it was such a nice day out. They have all of their desserts on display in the case, so you can peruse the options and see what looks good. So many of the desserts looked good, like the matcha yuzu chiffon crepe cake or the rose and lychee crepe cake. We ordered via the kiosk and got the mango sunshine souffle pancake ($16.50) and well as a couple drinks. My drink was the white peach lemon jasmine bliss ($6.25), with 50% sweetness and less ice. Even though there are signs everywhere saying that it takes 15-20 minutes for the souffle pancakes to be cooked, ours came out super quickly, in 5 minutes or so. We got it with the sauce on the side, but I regret doing that as I saw others getting it with the sauce on top and it was beautiful. The pancake was super fluffy and a bit eggy as well. We all really enjoyed it with the mango sauce. I made the mistake of eating the pancake first before trying a sip of my tea. The pancake was pretty sweet, so I could barely taste my drink, but I think it was good? I could taste a bit of the lemon but definitely not the white peach, which is a lighter flavor. I got a slice of their Hokkaido cheese cake roll for $7 to go and had it the next day. It was okay but definitely a bit pricy for what you get. I'd love to come back to try their other desserts and pancakes!

For one, the matcha powder was not properly whisked with the water (or the water wasn't hot enough) so there were visible clumps of powder throughout the drink. At the bottom of the cup there were small black particles, not sure if that was also the powder or something else. The drink itself tasted mainly like milk a little minty and fishy though. The drink was ready within 3 minutes of orders so I'm not sure what their process of making drinks is. This could've been an off-day but I don't really want to try again to find out. Stick to the desserts!

Its a small shop on Main in Alhambra and there's a lot in the back as well as street parking. It's a brightly lit, pick up and go type place though there are a couple tables out front. The baked goods look really cute and enticing and I ended up going for a mystery box since I wasn't after a specific cake and the mystery aspect seemed appealing. I also got 6 egg tarts, which were a great price at $1 each. The baked goods/sweets looked better than they tasted flr me. The egg tarts had a texture that was a bit off putting for myself, it was more of a steamed egg texture than a silky custardy filling. Flavorwise, they were ok though. The mystery box was fun and I got an apple cake, peach cake, and a panda cake. Now the mystery box is day old cakes so keeping that in mind, they are like cream based "cakes" and are essentially cream covered gels/jellies of some sort. The flavor and textures were good, very light cream with strong fruit flavors (the panda was also a peach flavor, I think). As a set of the mystery box price, I think the cakes are fun to try but I wouldn't, personally, pay those prices for essentially shaped cream. I'm glad I tried a new spot but ultimately don't think it was super impressive and found most of their desserts and baked items to be average, or a little less so as for the egg tarts.

I was going to my Favorite chocolatier at a different location. However, at the time I had to consider the heat. Since we were going to be celebrating outside. I also didn't have time to fight the traffic to Beverly Hills. So, I put on my big boy pants and went for the plunge. The associate was pleasant and willing to answer my questions. I told him I shop the B.H. Store. He comforted me that in the macaroons are no different than the B.H. And my loyalty will work here as well. Ladurée at The Americana in Glendale is a little pocket of elegance tucked into the heart of a busy shopping district. Whether you're looking to treat yourself or give as a gift. These macarons are worth every penny and yes it's going to almost 400 pennies to buy one macaron. These are best macarons in the world. They are actually imported from Paris France. Of course, the macarons are the star here, and they absolutely live up to the hype. Delicate, crisp shells with soft, flavorful fillings--each bite is rich but never overwhelming. The classic flavors like pistachio, rose, and vanilla are consistently excellent. Pro Tip: freeze them if you're not going to eat them in 48 hrs. It will keep them crispy and moist when ready to eat. Will I get my macaroons here again. More than likely not. I still prefer the B.H. Location. Why, I enjoy looking at all the macarons and other goodies available. And I always come out with more than macarons. Where as the Glendale location you can only get macarons.
