Staff is friendly and welcoming, but the lemon raspberry mouse cake tasted like it was days old. Each layer of the pasty peeled away from each other, and the spongy part of the cake was hard and chewy instead of it having more of a soft and velvety texture. I recently stopped by Miss Eclair, which just opened in August, to order my son's birthday cake--and I ended up leaving with a whole box of assorted pastries! Everything I tried was incredibly fresh and delicious. The eclair was perfectly balanced, the blueberry cake was light and flavorful, the honey cake was rich and soft, the carrot cake was moist, and the Napoleon had the perfect crisp layers. It's also Armenian-owned, and the owner is such a sweet, welcoming lady, which made the experience even better. You can really tell there's care put into everything they make. Plus, there's an ample amount of free parking behind the bakery, which makes stopping by super convenient. Their family owned and operated, make everything fresh, in house, daily, and are super nice?! They let me sample a bunch of their stuff. Their ham and cheese croissant sandwich came with a thin layer of smokey, umami sweet meat, Swiss cheese and some fresh leafy veggies. Their turkey pesto baguette sando also had thin layers of mellow basily pesto, tender turkey, provolone cheese, and veggies. Even tho the layers are thin the flavors are there and it really helps to let their made in house breads shine. The croissant was super soft, buttery, and flakey while the baguette was pillowy and chewy and not hard as a rock like how baguettes I've had usually are. The raspberry mousse was jiggly, airy, and smooth with sweet not really tart raspberry jam layers, had a perfectly sweet vanilla sponge base and crisp fragrant buttery cookie bottom. The Ferrero roche cake had layers of sweet chocolatey rich mousse filled with crunchy hazelnuts and was balanced by the not too sweet a bit dry tho chocolate cake. I wanted to order a custom cake for my daughter's 18th birthday and tried Miss Eclair. They took over from Lida's Cakes. I called first for basic information and said I would come to the shop to order in person. I have never ordered a custom cake over the phone. When I arrived, there was a young boy to take the order and an older woman who did not speak English who was the cake maker. He translated to her. He wrote out the order on a blank piece of paper. This did concern me and when they referred to the cake as sponge cake, he was able to call his Mom on the phone to explain that cake would be a white vanilla cake. I gave them an inspo photo and asked for light pale green frosting with mostly pink flowers. Filling was whipped cream with fresh strawberries. When I picked up the cake the green was more of Grinch green. The flowers were a type of sugar flower that came out of a box and not frosting. I asked for dragon flies on the cake and showed them another inspo photo and they said no problem. They didn't say they would print these on edible paper. Some dragon flies on the side were folded over so I peeled them open to press them into the frosting. The top of the cake was also printed Happy 18th Birthday XXX on edible paper. Putting candles into edible paper was not easy. The photo paper was also not all one piece-on a 6" cake. At the top where you put candles was an overlap of the edible paper. When I put candles there the top separated. This was not explained and I expected it to be all hand done. For a $75 custom 6 inch cake I was not expecting printed images and sugar flowers. I took the cake because what are you going to do? We had the cake and no one could finish it. It did not taste good. The frosting did not taste good. It did not seem like whipped cream as the filling and there were minimal strawberries. One slice produced none. Cake is always a treat in our house but this one went into the trash. Very disappointed in the lack of communication and having to order through this poor young boy trying to help. You can tell it's a family run bakery and I really love supporting mom and pop stores but I would not go back. I cancelled a 2nd order for my husbands birthday this week and they graciously refunded me my deposit. They never asked why which I found odd. Again, I was dealing with the young boy and not the owner or the cake decorator who does not speak English. Its too bad. I hoped I would find my new custom cake bakery. I used Cakery Bakery for years until the original owners sold. After that, they have never been the same. You want a cake to not only look good but you want it to taste good also. read more

I hired Miss Eclair to bake a fondant chocolate birthday cake and they made my cake so beautiful! The cake was a huge hit at the birthday party. Their pastries are also excellent and delicious. They make the best eclairs I have ever tasted. Their macarons, fruit tarts, and baklavas are baked to perfection! I would highly recommend anyone to visit this bakery. Had a last-minute Friendsgiving and noticed this bakery down the street. Walked in and the place was immaculate--seriously so clean. The display case was gorgeous; every cake and treat looked almost too pretty to eat. I ended up getting one of everything, and it was a hit! Everyone at the party loved it. My personal favorite was the coconut cake (can't remember the exact name), but it was delicious. The lady at the register was also super kind and helpful. Definitely recommend this place! read more

I stopped into Miss Eclairs to get some goodies for a sales call with a highend Engineer. The owners of the bakery were very friendly and nice! The customer service was supurb! I bought two dozen mini eclairs, one tiramisu, and a napoleon pastry...everything was fantastic (not overly sweet, which is what i enjoy) and at a great price!
