The new location is really cute inside. Loved the added touches with the boutique items available while we did our wine tastings.

It's unique in the Paseo District as it is a relatively new purpose built building as opposed to the older buildings that occupy the Paseo scene. I liked the overall layout and the positioning of their oval bar. Although we ate inside due to the heat, the outside dining area is lovely. Looking forward to going back in the fall and enjoying their lovely patio. The menu while interesting, has enough traditional fare to avoid having their menu characterized as eclectic." It's a well rounded menu with southwest influence. We started with drinks. Jan had a G & T, and I had a dirty martini with Gin. We skipped appetizers and ordered our mains. I ordered the shrimp and grits and thought it was excellent. The dish comes with. Cajun garlic marinated shrimp, andoulie sausage, roasted corn saute, cheader chive grits, hot honey butter and charred lemon. It was delectable! It was served with a side of suckatash that was very southwest and very good. It had a a little kick. Jan ordered short ribs served on a bed of chive and cheader whipped potatoes. It came with two sides, chopped and pan seared brussel sprouts, and ancho braised mushrooms. Jan was happy with her selection and gave it two thumbs up. The service was good. At near capacity, the restrauant was quite. The prices are moderate high.

The burrito bowl was delicious. The kitchen took the time to elevate my request into a beautiful looking plate. I would have been totally happy if it was just slapped in a bowl. Instead they paid extra attention to detail and presentation. The chicken was perfectly crisp, light, and the cornbread waffle is unique and a great pairing. Can't wait to back!

However, I am really tired of their inconsistent approach to requiring identification when ordering alcohol. A few years ago we were there for dinner and we ordered wine. They asked for my DL and I produced it. They asked for my wife's and she didn't have it with her. When we go out she does not take a purse, wallet or phone. So they would not serve her. We left. Then a few years go by and they never ask for ID. Then the next time they want ID. Sometimes they ask for ID, sometimes they don't, and we are well beyond that time in our life where anyone would question whether we are 21. This is the only restrauant, anywhere we have had the ID problem for my wife. Maybe Odell's law is helping the situation. With respect to food and service for this meal it was all very good. They may have the best fish and chips in OKC.

This place isn't your typical brunch destination at first glance, but that actually made me even more interested in giving it a try. Parking is street parking only. It is not the worst situation, but depending on the time of day you might need to drive around a little before finding an open spot. It is manageable, just don't expect to pull right up to the door unless you get lucky. Once we walked inside, my party was greeted almost immediately. We were seated quickly, and the space had a warm, inviting feel. It struck a nice balance between classic and modern, almost like a hidden gem that still has a polished, slightly upscale atmosphere. It felt familiar and comfortable, but still special enough for a weekend brunch. Our server was friendly and attentive. He checked on us several times, but always timed it well so it never felt like he was interrupting the conversation or the flow of the meal. I ordered the Okie Breakfast along with the Hot Stack Waffles. The standout item on the plate was the soft scrambled eggs. I usually don't think too much about restaurant eggs one way or the other, but these were genuinely delicious, even without cheese. They were creamy, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. Honestly, I don't think I've had scrambled eggs at a restaurant this good before. The brunch potatoes were equally impressive, seasoned well and cooked to that perfect balance of crispy edges and soft centers. The bacon and sausage didn't quite hit the same level for me. They were fine, but not memorable. The bacon could have used a little more time on the grill to give it a crispier texture instead of the softer bite it had. The sausage links were acceptable but didn't add anything special to the dish. They felt more like standard breakfast sausage rather than something that elevates the plate. I was really looking forward to the bacon biscuits and gravy, especially since most places serve it with sausage gravy instead. Unfortunately, this part of the meal fell short. The biscuits were quite thick, and the gravy itself felt a little too light. I think the dish would have tasted much better if the biscuits had been split open, buttered, and had the gravy poured over both halves so the flavor could soak in. Instead, it leaned on the dry side, even though there was gravy on the plate. As for the Hot Stack Waffles, they surprised me. The first few bites were absolutely delicious, but after that I noticed a caramelization on the outside that made them extremely sweet. It almost tasted like candy, which gave me a bit of a sugar overload. Without syrup, the sweetness was already intense, and with syrup it became too much for my taste. The texture was nice and smooth, but the sweetness was stronger than what I usually look for in waffles. Drinks were exactly what you'd expect. It's hard to go wrong with champagne and juice, and they were simple, refreshing, and enjoyable. Overall, I had a nice experience. The service was good, the environment felt comfortable, and there were definitely some standout parts of the meal, especially the eggs and potatoes. I'm not sure if I would go out of my way to return during my next visit to Oklahoma City, but I do think it is worth trying at least once if you are local or nearby. There is potential here, and depending on what you order, you might walk away very happy.

Upon walking in, we were told to sit anywhere we like. There were tables and chairs and booths to choose from. You are given queso, salsa and relish to start. The queso is good, the salsa was different than I am used to. It almost had a sweet taste. I am not sure what was in it, but it was different. One of the people with us said they were the best carrots she had ever had. The food came quickly. It was cooked fresh to order. On the table were multiple sauces to choose from. You were also offered green or red sauce. The beans and rice were very good. The chicken fajitas could have used a bit more flavor, but they were good. Taco salad was fresh with big chunks of avocado in it. They were friendly staff. It is a nice little place, but would be easy to miss. We would all go again.

Visited on February 14, 2026…read more Service: The staff was slow to refill drinks. It took about 15 minutes to have the food ordered. Ambiance: Busy place with music in the background. It is a confined space so it felt a little crammed. Food: Contrary to most other reviews, this place is awful. The birria tacos lacked flavor, really having not much at all. The consommé had some flavor, but the meat itself was bland. The grilled chicken was very basic and lackluster - served as a thin chicken breast on top of rice. It was up charge to get queso on the grilled chicken. The queso and salsa were sub par. The beans and rice were nothing special, which is shocking for a Mexican restaurant.
