When in Italy, I started catching on that my favorite affordable eats spots were bakeries. Highly recommend this bakery for their incredible pizza in Venice. My husband and I ordered 4 flavors (2 each) but we should've just shared 3 instead. Order and pay at the counter, find a seat, and watch for your order to be done. Loved the wine options. The small space fills up quickly but we were lucky to find a spot for 2 by the window. It was a great spot to people watch the street outside as well. After, walk a few blocks/steps to Suso for gelato/dessert!

Not bad! I liked Farini for quick bites in town! The lines are usually not too long. And you can grab and go easily if you'd like. Don't have to sit around and wait. The pizza or lasagna is done in a couple minutes and you are good to go! The pizza is decent. It's not spectacular, but it's fine. It isn't bad pizza either. This was our go to for quick food when we didn't wanna do a formal restaurant.

Finding pizza by the slice is harder than it looks on TikTok! My wife and I had looked everywhere for some good, quick pizza to eat while we walked around the city and stumbled across this excellent place. Right on the beaten path, excellent atmosphere, service and food. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite. The zucchini pizza was incredible!

We were starving and wanted something quick and easy so we figured pizza it is! Not to many places to sit because it was pretty packed, but we were lucky to find a long table towards the back of the room and we could people watch while we ate. The pizza was good, but not to impressed with how it looked. It looked like they basically cut long slices of the zucchini and laid it on the dough and threw it into the oven to cook. Pretty lazy to me, but I have to admit, it tasted good or maybe because I was starving. The restroom was a hot mess. I had to tell one of the workers that it needed to be clean. It was VERY disgusting.

At the corner of Calle de la fava this standing room only pizzeria is just what you are looking for after the train ride and boat taxi. The pizza is fresh Roman style with a crispy bottom and fluffy airy internal structure. The slightly burnt note adds to the authenticity of the flavor profile. An aperol and vodka lemon spritz were nice accouterments. Bellisima!

We had to try this even though we were not hungry. 4.50 euros for a slice and I prefer this pizza than all other restaurants we've tried in Florence and Venice. The dough is airy and the bacon are cut big! A budget friendly place!

Just standard cafe in Italy. Nothing special compared to the other places. Your downstair ones could be better. Tried coffee and 3 croissant flavors. Coffee's standard and croissant's too sweet. Also everything is cold because it's popular and they made a lot in advance. Not worthy to come here if you are far away. Had some seats indoor but maybe difficult to find when it's busy

Solid place for pizza by the slice and basic sandwiches. They're on a busy plaza corner so expect them to be crowded. There's lots of indoor seating but it fills fast, especially because there is no outdoor seating. A single slice costs €4 as of October 2023. That slice is about 1/4 of a pizza and will be cut into three slices. They're really pretty good pizzas and a value for being so cheap. Staff is friendly and does speak English.

Farini is a solid spot to grab a quick and delicious bite while on your way through Venice. I wound up coming back three separate times. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to try as much of their menu as possible! My favorite item is the Crudo Prosciutto & Sott'olio Focaccia, which seems to sell out pretty quickly since I was only able to get it on one occasion. They also have a nice Cotto & Bufala Focaccia and several types of fresh croissants with either creme or fruit that are out of this world. If I lived in Venice, I would probably be here every day.

What a lovely little cafe! During our stay in Venice, we ate here more than once - even though our hotel offered free breakfast. The croissants were freshly made with a delicious glaze. The place itself is clean and the staff is friendly. It's also good for lunch and snacks! We grabbed a slice of pizza from here one day - it had a fluffy, in-house made crust that was delicious. If you stop by in the morning you can see (and smell!) them making the dough. Overall, this place is a great deal and a sure bet to stop by for breakfast or a small treat if you're in Venice! read more

Then we got our sandwiches to since we were heading to the train station. The ham and cheese croissant rocked! The salami and cheese was just as good. THIS IS GOOD. Cheap, amazing, quality food. I have no idea why my pizza is black but it was amazingly done. The crust is chewy but amazingly light and crisp on the outside, the tomato sauce is amazing, and the cheese goes with it perfectly. 10/5. read more

We really enjoyed the pizza al metro so much that we returned for a second time. My girlfriend was a huge fan of the slice with cooked prosciutto. The dough is thick but has a light and airy feel with a pleasant crisp. We also had a sugar roll at one of their locations. read more

Perfect for busy tourists who quickly need a short break and a delicious local snack to eat! Also perfect for everyone who is on a small budget but does not want to lower his/her standards for a great snack! Highly recommended are the pizza and focaccia slices which are prepared freshly throughout the day (3-4€). The pizza crust will send you to heaven. Have you ever tasted naan? Well this is like crispy but buttery naan with pizza toppings, continuously pulled fresh from the oven. They have both cheesy pizzas and pizzas with almost no cheese but they both taste so darn delicious because they are FRESH and CRISPY. Mmmmm. I only wish they'd chill with the American pop songs. We're in Venice, not Venice Beach...I want to hear some Pavarotti or Vivaldi, not Drake! read more

Loved the crust. We were so hungry we each ordered two types of pizza...which I wouldn't recommend. One is definitely enough per person. Farini provided one of the most memorable meals I had in all of Italy. The croissants were perfectly flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. I had the ham and cheese croissant and every bite was amazing. The ham had a soft, silky texture that I could not get over. We also enjoyed the croissant with custard inside. I wish i knew what it's called exactly! It was basically all over Italy but I literally cannot recall. The cappuccinos were pretty basic. It gets very crowded here but the wifi is good. I don't know if this is a normal thing but the bathrooms were "out of order" when we went. read more

This place is perfect for breakfast. We didn't even want to go to another place since breakfast is so simple in Italy. There's two Farini's that we went to and this one was the best. It was a bit bigger and seemed to have a bit more selection at first glance. Prices are affordable and there's room to sit down if you'd like. The staff spoke good English too so communication wasn't a problem. They even have a fruit, yogurt, and granola bowl which is great because as with most Americans, we needed a little more than croissants and coffee and the bowl was delicious. This is a pizza bread lovers paradise €3.80-4.50/ slice. The toppings are sparse but the fluffy, airy dough is pleasant to eat. Cold sodas with ice for €3 and refreshing mojitos for €6. Okay for a quick bite to eat. Sadly there is only one unisex toilet (dirty and hot) not for the faint of heart. read more

Farini has a super clean modern feel. The wall dividing the front of the shop from the kitchen is clear glass so you can see the pizza's being cooked. The pizza was delicious Italian style and reasonably priced. There are only a few bar stools inside so you might have to eat while standing or walking. read more

Great location on the windong streets of Venice Italy. My husband and I decided to try tge veggie and the white pizza. One of the best pizzas that we have ever tasted, so good that we went back in for more. The flavors were amazing and it wasn't too filling. Very different than American pizza but both great in their own way. I highly recommend trying this pizza place. The staff was very friendly and they spoke English which was nice. They also serve coffee although I didn't try any. read more

The best bakery in taste and friendliness of staff. My 3rd day in Venice and the staff in this place is the best in hospitality/friendliness which seems to be rare in business stores around here although i have not seen their barista with a happy face yet...im hopeful maybe tomorrow? The place is clean and has an airconditioning that actually works, so welcoming in this very hot weather. Food is excellent. Their croissant is perfectly baked, crispy buttery flakes outside and soft melti-in-your mouth inside goodness. I ordered croissant with belgian cream like filling and ham and cheese croissant sandwhich with latte macciatto. Price is perfectly reasonable compared to the rest of the restaurants around. It's a very cute small pizza/dessert shop! Raspberry cheesecake is sooooo good! Definitely have to come here to try it. The pizzas are also very delicious. The prices are very worth it 3.80 for one slice a giant pizza which they reheat for you and cut it to 4 pieces so you could share it with your friends and family. Favorite coffee stop and quick lunch in Venice. I hade the eggplant (melanzane) lasagna and they gave me a free piece of olive bread with it. I saw many vegetarian options here and my meal was amazing - best vegetarian lasagna I have in Italy so far (between Venice and Florence). You can tell everything is fresh and they have baked breads, coffee, alcoholic drinks, pizza, lasagna, sweet and savory baked goods. read more

Great lunch stop! Traveling with the family, had pizza and drinks for lunch. Great lunch for a family of four (including drinks) for €30. Try the prosciutto and mushroom. It's phenomenal! It gets crowded, but the flow is pretty steady. We had seats within minutes of getting our order. read more

Super fresh baked goods! Had both locations and the breakfast and lunch was amazing both times. Good drinks as well. The pistachio croissant was amazing and something I never had before! The place gets a little crowded and a lot of people try to push through to the long counter to order but the staff did a good job handling the large amount of people. read more

The best pizza I had on our trip to Italy. You can smell the fresh bread as you walk by, so we stopped and grabbed two pieces. The pieces are big and they toast it, and cut it for sharing. The vegetable pizza was my favorite. You'll never look at pizza the same way again. read more

Very nice bakery ! Such a nice place to go have breakfast. The bread, the croissants, pain au chocolat... Everything is good ! You can also have pizza or other stuff for lunch, diner... The waitresses speaks a good english and they make sure that everything goes fast because it can be kinda crowed there. I would definitely go back, as I went there every morning. read more

Found this shop by coincidence and very happy with the food. It is a self-service point and the food is very simple. But it tastes you are in Italy - it was delicious. In Venice, it is very hard to find proper Italian taste and not get robbed at the same time. There are also no cover charge. We ate: - Greek salad (very fresh and delicious - Olive bread (a healthy amount of olives in it) - Panini with grilled vegetables (warmed in the oven) - Fresh orange juice - Espresso - Brownie Compared to the pizza slices that sinks into your stomach, this was a refreshing lunch. read more

The woman preparing food orders kept arguing and fighting with the woman preparing drinks, and took out her frustration on customers. The pizza was very overrated in these other reviews...definitely nothing to write home about. Edible but would not eat there again. read more

Walked by this restaurant on our way to dinner. Stopped in to have a drink. Wine was 3.50 a glass and espresso was 1. Amazing. The food looked great but did not try as we were headed to dinner. Service was spectacular as the girls behind the counter were super friendly and gave us a bag of croissants on our way out as they were closing. Highly recommend read more

We started off with their fried zucchini flower, which is supposedly one of their specialties, and it was awesome. I don't even like zucchini, but I tried it and loved it! I got the sea bass and my wife got the lasagna. The Sea Bass blew me away. That green sauce, whatever it was, paired perfectly with it. The lasagna was really great too! We got there a little early, but the nice lady setting up tables before opening offered to let us sit down on the outside patio since we were a bit tired from sightseeing all day. She was so welcoming and proud of her restaurant. If I ever go back to Venice, I'll definitely be eating here again. Just thinking about the experience makes me smile =]

I ordered a pistachio cornetto, a double shot capuccino and a focaccia sandwich. The cornetto was freshly baked, very soft and with the perfect amount of pistachio cream. The coffee was also amazing, perfectly pulled shots of espresso. The coffee itself wasn't too acidic which I always like. The focaccia from the sandwich was freshly baked that morning too and the combination between serrano ham and cheese was very tasty. They do heat up the sandwich, so if you're into hot breakfast this is a great spot for that! Overall, I would 100% revisit this spot if I'm ever on Venice again: excellent food and service!

Pretty presentation on shells. 3 tiny scallops in the shells. More like an amuse bouche. Totally disappointing. The linguine with clams as an entree had clams so small you almost needed a magnifying glass to see them. Couldn't taste the clams and annoying to try to eat something so tiny , and just try to eat the pasta with all those tiny shells. The baby shrimp on polenta was actually good. But again the shrimp were like tiny hatchlings tempura battered. Tasted okay except for those that were soggy from the polenta that was very soupy. I wanted the gnocchi with crab which was on the very limited menu but no longer available. The alternative was gnocchi with a sea bass sauce which I chose but didn't like at all. The gnocchi were good but the sauce wasn't at all for me. We had to continue to ask for side dishes for the bread, butter, olive oil, salt and pepper. We will not return. Poor value for your money. Plus there is a cover charge and service included in your bill which was a surprise. Very sad to see our favorite Venetian restaurant decline so much.
