I've passed Farm Basket many times over the years. It's actually close to a car wash I like going to, but I had never stopped in. Recently I saw a few food influencers I follow talking about it, and since I enjoy trying places that have been around for a while, I decided to finally give it a shot. The chicken was good juicy, not dry, and not overly greasy. I was also a big fan of the biscuits. Everything tasted fresh and nothing was burnt. For what you'd expect from fried chicken, I'd say it was definitely above average. I brought my family with me and they seemed to enjoy it as well. Customer service stood out to me too, which I always appreciate. Our meal didn't come with utensils at first, but once we asked for utensils and condiments, the staff was more than happy to grab them for us. Overall it was a great experience. Fried chicken ALERT!! We had the six piece family meal. Comes with 2 rolls and 3 sides. Sides - fries a must, Cole slaw ok, mash and gravy pass. Rolls - some good stuff here with the sweet butter drizzle. Would highly recommend the changing out the side for more of these. My phone really tracks my location, how did I discover Farm Basket, I happened to see an add on my phone, then I searched Farm Basket on Yelp, curious and needed to try since I LOVE chicken especially fried chicken. Wow, I noticed the prices for the family baskets meals are really cheap too, 6 pieces chicken with 3 regular sides and 2 rolls for $18.99! If I lived here I would get the family deal weekly with pot of rice. I just wanted to try the chicken, the rolls and sides! I got the 3 piece meal with mashed potato and fries. $9.99, cheap! The other half and I snacked on this before our dinner and the verdict, Yums! Have you ever tried frozen microwave country fried chicken dinner, (During small kid time these microwave dinner came in handy!) -it reminds me of it but except this is made fresh, I really enjoyed my meal and hubby too! I have been wanting to try tho place for a while now and finally made it. Went in for lunch and it was very good. There are only 6 tables to sit and eat and 4 were taken when we got there. We both ordered the chicken meals. I ordered 3 pieces and my cousin 2 pieces, and it comes with 2 sides. I was given a leg, thigh, and a breast and I ordered mashed potatoes and fries. Yes, both kinda weird but I wanted to try the fries. Lisa was given a thigh and a breast with Cole slaw and mashed potatoes. The chicken was tasty and very juicy. I like it a bit more crunchy but it was very good. The mashed potatoes were ok. The gravy kind of reminded me of gumbo. The Cole slaw had good flavor and the fries were good. Very disappointed. We ordered online a couple of months ago only to find out, once we were home, that our order was completely wrong. Tried to call but nobody answered. While driving by today I thought I would give it another try. Got home to find the chicken overcooked, dry and too salty. The mashed potatoes and gravy was a container of gravy with some mashed potatoes floating in it. We took a few bites and threw it all in the garbage. Heard good things about this place but we left pretty disappointed. Came a few weeks ago and tried the chicken sandwich but the bread was stale and the chicken had no crisp to it and was really dry. Decided to come back to see if the turkey was any better but it wasn't. Drier than the chicken and the bread once again was stale. The miracle whip and cranberry sauce couldn't save them. I don't live far from this location , but I rarely make it here. The other day I decided to give them a try again for something different. I got the 4 Chicken Fingers Meal with Fries and a Lemonade. I got the Gravy instead of a sauce for the chicken. I though the last time I was here they had Pink Lemonade , but I was told no they only had the regular which was fine and it was a big cup. It came to $12. The chicken fingers were large and meaty. I remember the last time I was here the guy at the counter told me they were made fresh , not frozen and you can tell. The breading is light , but has a good flavor. The Brown Gravy I was a little disappointed with. I was like homemade , but seemed to be missing something like it needed more pepper and it didn't seem that fresh. The Fries were okay and just the right amount of salt , but a small amount for those big 4 chicken fingers. Next time I will get the Fried Chicken. Ordered pick up and it was ready quick and efficient! The restaurant looked empty and quiet but it was 8:30pm. Popped in, got my order quick and friendly and carried on my way. In my opinion this is the best chicken and turkey sandwich restaurant in Las Vegas. The only location is on west Charleston right above jones blvd. I'm very disappointed in that they had 12-14 locations in the 1970's through 2000 and only kept this one location - until last year when they built new locations on Nellis and Sahara and rainbow and blue diamond. However, because of poor business???? They shut down those two locations. It's a shame that Las Vegas didn't support this superb restaurant and it's wonderful food. I visited this place because of a review I saw online. Positive: The staff were friendly and fast. the macaroni salad was very good. Negative: We got the 9-piece so I expected the four sides would be enough to share among 3-4 people, but there's no way. Both the macaroni (rated 8 out of 10) and potato salad (rated 2 out of 19) were about two tablespoons worth. The mashed potatoes and gravy (rated 1 out of 10, and mostly gravy) were in a slightly larger container, but still not enough to serve more than one person. I was going to post a picture, but there's no link to do that. The chicken was well cooked, but underneath the skin, the chicken was not very tasty; I'd rate it a 2 (out of 10). I hate to say it as a transplant to Vegas because I recognize a lot of locals who grew up here love Farm Basket, but for me, it was really basic. The chicken wasn't seasoned very well and was slightly soggy. It was sort of like KFC original but KFC is more flavorful. The cook was pretty good, I assume because of the pressure frying, but it was really underseasoned. The sides were also bland and plain. I got the Cole slaw and mashed potatoes and frankly KFC, Popeyes, and Bojangles all have better sides. I can't say I recommend. read more

Ordered the Clucketos. They were only OK. I was expecting shredded chicken that was nicely seasoned but instead it's like ground chicken that's rather dry and not very much flavor. I've been coming here 35 years. Even worked at one 35 years ago. It was always so good. I know a few years ago it changed ownership. They expanded the menu and opened new locations. Kept most things fairly the same. I pulled up today after not being there awhile. I stared at the menu board. I was so confused where everything was. It's so limited now. I'm guessing new owners again that don't know the iconic farm basket and how important it is to keep the food the the same. With the other stores closing and now the limited menu I'm guessing this one is on the outs next. Pretty sad. It was way better than any other chicken place in town. The cashier was nice tho. It's Tuesday 7/23/2024 at about 3:15 pm. Lots of free parking. The parking area was clean. They have some covered outdoor tables but it's way too hot at this time. The area was also clean. Inside was small with booth seating. Floors, tables and seating were all clean and in good repair. We were greeted by a cheerful young man. I had the two piece chicken meal with two sides for $8.99 and a fountain drink with free refills for $2.49. I didn't care for the gravy on the mash potatoes. My wife liked the potato salad. I also like the butter honey roll, but it had a bit too much butter on it. The star of the meal was the fried chicken. I visited with a group of friends - as it turns out too many to sit at one booth. The seating is limited to 4 or fewer per table. It is also out of date, meaning it needs to be refreshed by putting in new tables, and decor, flooring. The service was to the table, something I wasn't anticipating. Usually when you order at a window, they will later call your name. Perhaps this level of service is desired by the owners. However, given the tiny space, and the ordering process, they should consider taking our names and calling us up. The people were friendly enough - but no one smiled or said hello, etc. They looked beaten down. The wait area for take out was a bit small - standing room only, and got in the way of the ordering window. I ordered the clucker meal with lettuce, tomato, etc. The chicken portions were large, which I was happy with. Others ordered 3 piece meal - the pieces are large and hard to call 'fingers'. The fries were supposed to have seasoning other than just salt. They did not. After taking the fries back up, and they sprinkling something on them, the flavor didn't change. So, while the fries were good, they were missing a main ingredient. I also ordered 1/2 dozen orange rolls. It took some time to actually get them. Apparently very popular, so they are cooking these rolls all the time. That being said, the rolls I received look nothing - absolutely nothing - like to picture. The orange flavor is practically non-existant. Over all the food was ok. If I were nearby and wanted chicken I'd consider getting the 3 piece. I would not travel any distance to come here. read more

Overall Farm Basket was a pretty average experience on my visit. I understand this place has a cult following but I don't really get it. I stopped in a not too long ago (Feb 2024) and ordered the turkey clucker combo. The sandwich and fries were decent but nothing spectacular. The combo ran about $15 and came with a pack of mayo and cranberry dressing and some other fry sauce. I did enjoy the original decades old interior and decor (see pics). After a long day at the clinic I was hungry and this was close by. Right off of Charleston, you can't miss there big sign . There parking lot is not that large but has ample parking. We parked and I could smell the chicken right when we left the car. The restaurant is small with only about six booths but there is some seating outside. Not a large menu but just enough for what your there for. We ordered the 8 piece chicken special and ordered corn, potatoes salad and rolls. Yummy yummy. It was really good. We ordered the three-piece fried chicken dinner and added one piece, so we got all four pieces: breast, thigh, leg & wing. All were thoroughly and properly cooked, and tasted delicious. The coleslaw was good, very fresh and crunchy. The mashed potatoes and gravy were very good, they had some little lumps in them, giving them great homemade taste. We ate outdoors on the patio.
