The small menu is comprised of chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, waffle fries, mac & cheese, and biscuits - the tenders tasted pretty good and were freshly made, but the chicken sandwiches (wrapped in foil) were under a heat lamp on the counter, begging to be eaten before they petrify. "Go grab a sandwich, either spicy or original" she instructed, while cooking up some waffle fries. The buns ended up being pancake-flat...born plump, then losing much of their baby fat under the mini-tanning salon. But the sandwich tasted decent, so maybe it wasn't as old, wrinkled, and decrepit as, for example, myself. The spice-less waffle fries were bland as elevator music so be prepared to dip them in Hatch sauce (blend of mayo, mustard, and hot honey). Mac & cheese arrived in a good sized cup and was very filling, but it amounted to mushy overcooked pasta drowning in a mudslide of Cheez Whiz. Al dente it was not...more like al stracatto. If they put a macaroni and biscuit combo on the menu, it could be called 'Limp Bizkit'. Drinks were mostly Coke products, but surprisingly the home made lemonade and strawberry dragonfruit drinks were very good with organic lemon pulp, organic juice, organic cane sugar. Inside, there's a digital menu board that changes every few seconds and there will be some decent finds. A two piece tender, fries, drink, and biscuit combo was being offered recently for a mere $5 (normally it's $8). So if you're hungry and gassing up at a Rebel station where these Hatch Chicken locations are, you could do worse than to grab some tenders or a sandwich there.

I got the 2 tender combo and it was surprisingly a lot of food. I couldn't finish it all. The tenders were good sized and moist and juicy, the original style flavor was good not bland but not overpowering either. The Mac and cheese was a surprisingly big portion for a combo and very creamy with corkscrew noodles that had a good texture. I can see why all the reviews sing its praises, it was delicious. The combo came with a biscuit that was fluffy with crispy edges (my fave) and covered in a sweet butter coating which though looked weird was delicious and the perfect complement to the rest of the meal.

My husband ordered the tenders. The fries were the best part of the meal! They were warm and crispy. The chicken sandwich was okay to eat, but the portion size was considerably smaller than what I have seen in other local chicken sandwiches I've had before. I was still hungry after eating the chicken sandwich. While my husband's tenders did have good flavor the breaded area was not consistent.. There were a couple of areas that were completely bare of breading. We were still happy to try out Louie Louie Fried Chicken as we'd heard such great things about this new place. It was freshly prepared and delicious. It was made with a chicken thigh and not a dry breast. It was juicy and excellently fried. The brined chillies were a perfect blend of spicy and slightly sweet. We also sampled the masala fries - again fantastically seasoned and prepared. The man working in the truck was extremely friendly and a pleasure to work with. This is possibly the best fried chicken sandwich I have had in a long time and worth searching out the truck for a return visit.

It popped up when I put my card into the slot to check in, so I went seaching and found it way back in the corner, near the sports betting. I'm never in that part of the casino. There's a big backlit sign with the menu over the register. Front and center is a picture of a delectable Cuban sandwich, on a crunchy-looking baguette roll. There are only three pressed sandwiches on the menu, so why would I think that my turkey with avocado would come out on ordinary white bread? When pressed (pun intended), the kid at the register said that a) different sandwiches are made differently, and b) it wasn't white, but sourdough. Now I'm no great fan of sourdough, but there was no sour in that dough. Not that I cared, but I gave up white bread when I grew up and learned that there are other breads in the world, and I've never looked back. But the sandwich filling was decent and the price would have been right, except for one little glitch: I paid with points, and this being Wednesday, it should have cost me half points, but he deducted them all. I didn't get a receipt, and didn't realize the error until I was way back on the other side. Oh well. While the sandwich isn't expensive, it comes with nothing. If you want to add fries, that would put the price on par with some decent pubs. Would I go back? Probably. It's an alternative to the food court. Recently I saw a few food influencers I follow talking about it, and since I enjoy trying places that have been around for a while, I decided to finally give it a shot. The chicken was good juicy, not dry, and not overly greasy. I was also a big fan of the biscuits. Everything tasted fresh and nothing was burnt. For what you'd expect from fried chicken, I'd say it was definitely above average. I brought my family with me and they seemed to enjoy it as well. Customer service stood out to me too, which I always appreciate. Our meal didn't come with utensils at first, but once we asked for utensils and condiments, the staff was more than happy to grab them for us. Overall it was a great experience. If we're in the area again, there's a good chance we'll stop by. Solid spot.

As mentioned above, I was quite surprised when my hamburger steak arrived covered in brown gravy since this was neither pictured nor mentioned in the online description. It was a generous portion with three large hamburger steaks atop white rice. There was a small scoop of macaroni salad in the corner. Honestly, however, I thought it was kind of gross to put it there since the gravy covered some of it and also heated it up, so it was no longer a cold macaroni salad. I think they should package the macaroni salad separately. The hamburger steaks were flavorful and tender. The gravy was tasty, but there was too much of it. I think serving it on the side or at least giving that option when ordering would be better. Overall, this was a tasty if somewhat surprising meal. However, I think I would be willing to give it another try.
