This is my second time in about six years trying POPS. I've been having a taste for a cheesesteak which is very rare , but when I do I'm on a mission to find the best one. I googled best cheesesteaks in Vegas and this place came up as an option. The line was short. You order at one window and pay at the other. The prices for the cheesesteaks are reasonable. Prices for the fries and other sides are pricey in my opinion. We ordered cheesesteaks with provolone, one had mushrooms and bell peppers the other just cheese. Cheesesteaks were ok, not the best I've had but decent. There was plenty of meat, the bread was decent but it was missing something. There was no option to add hot peppers only jalapeños. The fries are trash and over priced The onions rings were decent The Zucchini sticks were decent same with the Mozzarella sticks. I drove into Vegas very late, this was one of the only places open. Service was definitely lacking, attendance, not very friendly at all. I got a bottle of soda, and it was very warm, which in 98° weather at 10 PM you'd want to have a cool soda to be refreshing. The cheese whiz Philly cheesesteak sandwich itself was mediocre. Lacking flavor in both the cheese, whiz, and the meat itself. The steak was soft, but not flavorful. The bread was good, probably the best part of the meal. No horseradish sauce or anything besides hot sauce to be able to add to your sandwich gives it an extra minus in my opinion. Overall, I won't go back. I'd rather go to McDonald's. read more

Been wanting to come here for the longest time and finally got a chance to give it a try. The place itself is pretty nice, the murals and artwork on the outside are really cool. The staff were super friendly and the service was quick and seamless. The food was very solid all around. The fries could've used a bit more salt and the chicken tenders were pretty straight forward. The cheesesteak is the main event and it did not disappoint. The meat was flavorful, well seasoned and the wasn't dried out like a lot of other cheesesteaks I've had. I could also taste the cheese which is always one of my biggest complaints with cheesesteaks. Overall this is the perfect spot for any late night cravings or lunch rush needs. Yes it's a bit pricey, but I sure find it difficult not to exit when driving across town and coming up on the Decatur exit off the 95. Been coming here for 20 years and Pops just makes the day a little better. The service is fast and efficient, never had a mistake I'm aware of and they customize to your liking. Recently stopped by POPS and had a great experience. We went on a Friday afternoon and the place was surprisingly empty. The parking lot was smaller than expected, but we were still able to find a spot. We ordered the chili cheese fries and a Cheese Whiz steak. The cook was very friendly and even asked how we wanted to customize the cheesesteak. After ordering, our food was ready within just a few minutes. One thing to note is that there are no restrooms and seating is limited to a covered outdoor area. With the windy weather and traffic noise, we ended up taking our food home instead. The cheesesteak itself was delicious, with cheese whiz in every bite pairing well with the beef and onions on a soft hoagie roll. I did feel like the overall flavor could have been a bit stronger, but it was still very satisfying. The fries were generously loaded with chili and more cheese whiz and had a steak fry texture, not super crispy but not soggy either. Came here for lunch August 15 2026 2pm, after waiting in line for about 10-15 minutes without anyone even coming to the order window and being 4th in line my girl walked to the front and asked the girl behind the register if they were taking orders and the worker called her a BITCH. Her exact words were "this bitch" in Spanish. The cooks weren't even doing anything except taking joy rides in a loud suv annoying all the people that actually got food that were eating while just ignoring the growing line outside. Been coming here forever as a Vegas local and I've never ever been treated like this in any restaurant whatsoever. Completely inexcusable. I unfortunately Have to give one star to post this review. First thing there was it was ordered with mustard and it came with out. The only saving grace of this meal was besides the fried green beans were a really good batter and they melt in your mouth when you eat them. The overall place is all outdoors no inside eating they did update from the recent. This is a small, hole in the wall spot that's off the strip but is a must try! There's a huge selection of sandwiches to choose from as well as sides. We didn't have a wait time to order when we went and our food was ready so fast too. My husband and I split a sandwich and got a side of zucchini and it filled us up. It's all outside seating and there are no public bathrooms so just be prepared. First time visiting. I work about 2 blocks away and have never tried. I kept seeing videos on social media that they updated the property so I figured I would try! I'm not a fan of cheese steaks, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that have chicken tenders as well. Very small parking area but I was able to snag a spot. Service was really good. Won a free cheesesteak and fries on Thursday, August 6th at the Las Vegas Aviators baseball game. The seat i was in was selected to win the free coupon. I went to use it on Saturday, August 8th and was told it was expired and ended up paying full price since the food was already being made. 50 bucks for 2 sandwiches, 1 fry and 1onion ring. Incredibly disappointing experience for my first and only visit here. I wanted to like this place as I am from Philly, but I can't really imagine a worse dining experience. The reason behind this scoring is due to the workers on 8/4 around 2:45PM. We ordered a #3 and a #4 at the order window. Next we paid at the paying window for 31$ with a 4$ cash tip. We were waiting for about 15 min and noticed that other folks got their food before mine. We were then asked at the paying window "did you guys order yet?" And of course we did and then was accused of not paying ???? We paid and tipped...... There needs to be a better communication between team members rather than focused on "fiestas" which was the topic amongst the cooks. Poor kid upfront not provided with good examples and not good customer service. Come here but please make sure you choose to print your receipt!!! After passing this place off Decatur multiple times I finally opted to stop and try this place. The parking lot is small so its a hit or miss, but gratefully we got the last spot. Pastrami Fries were $14 and came with a ton of cheese whiz and pastrami. The pastrami had some really great flavor and was perfection. #9 Bacon and Swiss was good. I wish it was a bit more melty so I would opt for the cheese whiz and bacon WIT onions. The bread is solid and had a great taste- not soggy at all. Overall I would definitely come back. Quite limited parking and it has a chill spot with some seating outside. Service is definitely more get to the point which was fine for us considering the location and type of food. The seating was also awesome because my wife and I got to eat outside like a picnic and I really like the mural of Benjamin Franklin and the liberty bell! It is about Philly after all! Pop's Philly Steaks has been on my wish list to visit for a while now. Finally managed to head over to give it a try and it was a good visit. I ordered the #7 Bell Pepper Cheesesteak "wit" onions ($15). The bread is soft yet sturdy enough to hold up to the fillings. To my surprise, there wasn't a whole lot of cheese on it. The steak was slightly below average quality and not extremely flavorful. Also, there was a scant amount of onions and peppers. Was it still a delicious cheesesteak? Yes. Was it all I had hoped for? Not quite. The seating is all outside on stools and on a very busy, major crossroad. So be prepared for exhaust fumes, loud noises, and some heat.
