If you ever had thought about taking a cooking class, (but were nervous) we would highly recommend this one or any that Chef Aaron leads. The class lasted 3 hours, It seemed like 1 hour. His explanation and stories of his family and cooking were great, they added to the down to earth approach he has. He made us feel like we were pros, and we are not, at all. Since the original reservation our reservation has changed at least 7 times and each time the chef is trying to book us for a week day appointment in the middle of the day. Each time I chose a different day for a Friday or Saturday evening and it gets confirmed, only to get rebooked or moved a few days before. I reached out to the chef, tried the chat feature on the website, and tried calling their customer service number to get a refund, with not being able to reach anyone! The first time I called their customer support they hung up on me! Would not recommend!!

We had our son baptized a couple months ago and decided on short notice to host an brunch/open house to celebrate. Unfortunately that left us in a bind to prepare adequate fare for our 20-25 guests. Chef John to the rescue! We let him prepare the menu and then he went over it with us for our approval. Due to the time constraint, we weren't picky. But, if you have a menu in mind he will certainly prepare what you want and make some professional suggestions along the way. What he prepared for us was wonderful! We had a large chicken pesto sandwich with a fresh homemade mayonnaise, a classic egg bake and a gourmet french toast dish. Our guests raved about everything. In fact, most stated it was the nicest baptism open house they'd ever been too! He prepared the brunch with only the freshest ingredients, which is the way it should be. Chef John's services were surprisingly affordable too! Besides paying for the ingredients and food, I believe Chef John worked his magic for only $25/hour. I don't think most personal chefs or catering companies in the area can touch that rate. Just an incredible value! Chef John is Le Cordon Bleu trained so he's no weekend chef that learned how to cook while flipping burgers at Mickey D's. He's the real deal. As people who really enjoy food, (and since we were going to have fairly tame selections for the wedding), we wanted to get some unique options for our rehearsal dinner. It was a real pleasure to work with Phillip on a menu. He was incredibly interested and attentive to all of our thoughts. We ended up going with options of a beautifully elevated and seasonal Moulard Duck, Market Fish (Salmon), and Gnudi dumplings that nearly turned me vegetarian for the night. Everything from apps to salad to dessert was absolutely delicious, and we got so many rave comments from our guests. Despite having 30 people, we were able to get everyone together at one gigantic long table stretching across the dining room. It was such an intimate and lovely experience that I can't imagine getting anywhere else. The acoustics were great. We were in total control of the sound, as well as what would be served at the bar, and of course we had the place to ourselves for the whole night. Having a venue we could open up to additional guests after dinner was important to us as well. The front wall of the studio opens up and on a nice night (which we had) you can also mingle outside. They even set up a little fire for us on the patio. We truly could not ask for more. We don't have plans to get married again, but I'm looking for almost any excuse to host another event at this point. Can't wait to get back!
