A great addition to the Liberty Station Market. Asado Gaucho serves mostly Argentine-style sandwiches (mostly beef). We ordered the Wagyu Chimichurri Tri-tip sandwich, and it was tasty with nice soft bread. They usually have long lines but move pretty fast. We'll definitely try another type of sandwich next time.

Good sandwich but not $25 good

Let me start by saying the sandwich was really good. What I have an issue with is the tiny sandwich with a soda for $28. The picture had fries but that's additional cost (I had no idea). Basically it's a good sandwich but a rip off for what it is.

I ordered the viral NY steak and frites sandwich for $25. It wasn't a cheap lunch but I felt there was a generous amount of steak that felt justified. Overall it was a good sandwich but not sure I would order again. The steak was cooked medium and wasn't as tender as I would have liked. The sesame coated bread was also on the tougher side. I just wish there was some freshness like arugula or red onions to brighten the dish. I also wished there was way more chimichurri because it was lacking flavor. The fries were perfectly cooked and loved the addition to the sandwich.

We came out to try this yummy spot at Liberty Public Market. Asado Gaucho most definitely lives up to the hype. AMAZING!! Just had to wait a while for our food..... Chill vibe. * Reverse-Seared Tomahawk Sandwich (focaccia, sliced tomahawk steak, provolone, bacon jam & creamy mushroom sauce). *Provenzal Fries (fries topped with finely chopped garlic, parsley & olive oil). #DiningWithTheAndersons #ArgentinianMeat #YummyGoodness #FireGrilled

Pricey sandwiches (it is steak) but the meat was well cooked. Presentation was good. With all the butter and olive oil on my sandwich, it did get greasy. I enjoyed the Chimichurri tritip sandwich.

The platter with sweet potato fries, very flavorful dish. Really enjoyed it.

Out of town traveler and I have to say the food here was quite delicious the steaks were very tender and flavorful. I had the platter which had 3 different styles of dishes for one meal. The portion sizes was good I had no issues of finishing everything and feeing full afterward, the dish also came with a choice of sweet potato fries, fries, or salad. I would definitely recommend this spot. Food 9/10. The service was self selection so no interaction with anyone until handling food, which I prefer. Service 8/10. The ambiance was in a location with mini restaurants, a bar, a lot of sitting areas, and an arcade for all ages. I really liked the location ( the windmill), the family and I ate here multiple days out of the week we were there. Ambiance 9/10.

Chimichurri Tri-Tip. Look how little meat they give

I hate to give them a bad review because after seeing so many pictures and great reviews, it was a huge let down. We ordered the chimichurri tri-tip sandwhich, the French fries with gaucho sauce, & the gaucho sampler. First of all, they offer discounts if you leave them a 5-star review. That should've been my first red flag. Second, the portion was laughable. The meat portion of the sandwhich was really sad. Every bite I took was 80% bread. Also, the choice of the bread was terrible. It was not good. The sandwhich would've been much better if they chose a better bread & added much more meat. I thought it was just me & it might have been a bad day with someone new on the front line, however I've had friends who also tried this spot & said the same thing. I felt seen. The gaucho sampler was not bad, but again it also didn't have much meat. The fries were ok, nothing spectacular and was very mid with an underwhelming sauce. Third, the prices did not match the quantity or quality. Everything was way over priced for what we received. I most likely will not be returning.

I wish we would've seen yelp instead of the video online. We payed $27 for one sandwich that was promised to be "the best thing in liberty station." It was not. The bread was too hard, probably a little stale. The fries were almost cold, regular frozen fries you can get at a grocery store and there was no sauce. In the ad we saw the sandwich had some sort of chimichurri but ours was dry. No sauce in the sandwiches on the side. The meat was good. In the time it took them to give us our food we ordered and received crab rangoons, those I would recommend. You order on a kiosk so there's no customer service to mention.

Asado Gaucho inside the Liberty Station food court seriously stood out to me. The decor immediately caught my eye, and seeing all the amazing sandwiches people were eating around me made it impossible not to stop. The girl at the register was super kind and took the time to explain the menu she recommended the garlic fries, chimichurri tri-tip sandwich, and the tomahawk sandwich, and that's what your boy got! Everything was absolutely delicious. The bread was perfect fluffy on the inside with a nice crisp on the outsideand the food came out fresh and hot. Service was great, and I also love that they offer catering.

Located in liberty public market. Was very good but for the price, I thought they would give more meat. It was a smaller sandwich. The garlic is a bit overpowering. Service was slower but it's because it's made to order. You order on the touchscreen menu and they give you a number. Would try again but order something different.

Asada Gaucho has taken over one of the central area stalls at the Liberty Public Market in Point Loma. I believe the business operates a catering service too. They specialize in Argentinian cuisine featuring fire grilled cuts of meat served as sandwiches or plates. The offerings were not cheap as the sandwiches (8) were all $15.99 and up while the plates (2) were more than $25 each. Unlike other times, there was no line at the service counter when I arrived. From the list of sandwiches, I chose the Reverse-Seared Picanha ($17.99). Small pieces of grilled picanha were topped with gaucho sauce, brie, honey, and arugula inside two halves of flatbread that were sliced in half diagonally. My food was ready in about 15 minutes and placed in a cardboard takeout container. The size of the sandwich was decent. The picanha was cooked to the appropriate degree of doneness. I do wish the pieces of meat were larger as they fell out when I picked up one half to take a bite. The peppery flavor of the arugula was a nice choice for greens. Maybe a small side could have been added for the price as just the sandwich alone was insufficient.

Went here on a busy night and waited ~15 min for our food, though they did tell us expected wait time so we were able to walk around and come back. Staff was friendly, and food was good. The gaucho sampler ($29.99) was good but not great. I would say it was tasty and I loved that we could try 3 different types of steaks but the flavor fell slightly short of my expectations. The fries though were REALLY good, and I'd definitely go back just to get those! We got the provenzal fries ($7.99) and they had the perfect amount of crisp, salt, and garlic.

Honestly it's hard to know what to make of this place. They clearly use good ingredients and for the most part care, but it just doesn't feel like you're getting your moneys worth here. The sandwich feels like they are filling it with quite a bit of the cheaper ingredients (arugula honey a tomato chimmichuri) whereas the beef and cheese are very skimpy and engulfed in very thick bread. Was it a good sandwich? Yeah it tasted solid. Their fries were good too. But I don't think I'm going to be back when there's so many options there

One of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. The tri-tip sandwich was amazing and very filling.

I love empanadas and have had these empanadas before when at Pacific Beach open market…read more I kind of stumbled on this place and immediately I knew I wanted some empanadas! Empanadas are stuffed turnovers, originally from Spain and Portugal, and eaten widely across South America, including Argentina, Paraguay and also eaten in Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Phillipines too. They are a delight and delicious! This spot is an Argentinian place and I got 3 empanadas. They have many different stuffed options and I chose a beef, mushroom and spinach as my three. I asked how spicy the spicy beef one is and the very nice lady working said it was about 5/10, so I passed. She said it wad spicy, unfortunately, I cannot handle too spicy. So far, I have eaten the beef and spinach one and like them both. I was given chimichurri sauce, but I dont think I like this version, its a little too lemony for me. I like a more parsley forward chimichurri and this one too sour for me. For 3 empanadas, it was about $11, which isnt too bad! The empanadas are delicious and I will def be back again and again!!

I prefer the spinach, mushroom and beef empanadas. I tried the Malbec beef but it was too mushy and sweet for me. I'll stick with the traditional one, with olives. I lived in S. FL and baked empanadas are everywhere and usually were $1.50 each (now maybe $2.00-$2.50) so it does bug me to pay $4.00 for an empanada. On the other hand, they make a great snack or meal, depending on how many you get. And they are not as easy to find here, especially baked, so I'll keep coming to Parana.
