Cold meatballs that taste like they were from a bag.
Dylan K.

It pains me to write this. I remember when Farmacia opened. It had a wine list like no other. Aperitif selection a page long. A genuine pasta section (secundi) and main (Primi). We had not been in in a few months and we showed up at 5:50pm. 3 tables were in house at the time. We were handed the menus and immediately my wife and I were perplexed. This was not the same restaurant. I even asked the server if the owner changed. Nope. We were lied to saying it was a season menu change - I'm in the business; that was menu engineering based of cost efficiency and was basically an Olive Garden menu. Pasta is not made from scratch anymore. We ordered two drinks, which have been limited to 5 options that the waiters are making as they have no steady bartender. The drinks were what you'd expect from an untrained person making them. Not worth $13. Then we ordered the Caprese and meatballs. We were hopeful the food quality hadn't changed. It did. The tomatoes were mush. It was a joke. Meatballs were cold. Again only 3 tables and it took 30 minutes. Our entrees were eggplant parmigiana and the sausage rigatoni- the eggplant was cold and they forgot the sausage in our food - on top of the massive wait the food was cold. It kills me to say this, but they had 3 high school aged men working in the kitchen. No culinary training. I stopped and watched. For the price charged, this was a embarrassment of a dinner. Management, I hope you read this. I understand menu engineering for hard times - but at least execute on it and don't be understaffed.

Great ambience, service and food! We got there right as they opened for lunch and almost had the place to ourselves. We were all finding it hard to pick something from the menu as it all sounds so good! We started with the bread and butter - just do it - it's worth every calorie!! Can't wait to go back!

We came here tonight to celebrate a birthday. We also came because the pizza here is Very unique. We were pleasantly surprised to hear that Tuesday nights pizza is Bogo! Our server Will was very friendly and a wonderful server. He made us feel very special and he took great care of us. Our pizzas were amazing! I highly recommend Farmacia Trattoria!

My daughter and I went here on a mom and daughter date night and the service was excellent!! The food was beyond fantastic and just the whole vibe of the restaurant was perfect!! If you are okay with spending a little bit more on a meal than usual, and you can appreciate amazing Italian food, this is where you need to go!!!

Lunch today, and every visit, was absolutely fantastic!! Quality ingredients, perfect flavor, cooked to perfection and brought to our table swiftly so the cheese was at the perfect melted temperature. Friendly service and a beautiful restaurant. So thankful you are here!!

This is probably one of the best meals I've eaten in a long time. The Salmon with Caviar on top was absolutely delicious and my favorite dish of the night. Our waitress was amazing! She was so patient with us and helped us pick out must haves for our dinner. The atmosphere was so pleasing and loved how beautiful it was inside. Only thing I didn't like was how close the tables were. It felt like they were trying to fit in as many tables as possible. Other than that, we had a wonderful time and will be back.

Primi special

What an absolutely wonderful experience. We drove up from Atlanta specifically to visit Farmacia after watching its build out in the months prior. We started with the Burrata Salad, which was loaded with crisp and fresh vegetables along with a generous portion of burrata. On top of that, the presentation was beautiful. From there, we decided on two primi and pizza to round out our meal. The primi was a ricotta and lemon zest special with zucchini cream. It was so wonderfully fresh and full of flavor. Also had the cacio e pepe. The pastas had a perfect bite that you only get from freshly made pasta. The work and care that went into the two pasta dishes was quite obvious. Added the sausage and fennel pizza on top of that. I believe the dough they make for pizza is sourdough. And I hate to be "that person," but it's the best pizza I've had since visiting Italy this past summer. Finished it off with a chocolate torte for dessert and some amaro to help it all go down. Our neighbors got the Branzino and it looked incredible, so that's what I'll get next time. I have to end this review by saying how much I appreciated our server, even if I can't remember their name. They guided us so perfectly through the dining experience and were so kind and passionate about the food here. Can't wait to come back!

Margherita pizza with burnt crust.

So, I came back although I said I would not just because it was decided beforehand and not by me. This place needs to just close the doors. We were a party of 4 and the only people there. You would think that the food would be perfect. It was not. I asked for Aperol to go with my prosecco. I was told they did not have any. Only to see 10 bottles right behind the front desk under some wine display as we were leaving. We ordered Arancini- a typical southern Italian fried rice ball. These looked like tiny golf balls and seemed frozen and not made from scratch. Arancini are supposed to be big and almost look like a snow cone. We were 4 and they brought 3. The pizzas. Sauce sucked, dough terrible, mozzarella no flavor, and the crust was black burnt. See photo below. We took it home because no one want to eat what they ordered at the time. The only good thing was the actual bottle of prosecco we had. Marcos serves a better pizza! Advice, someone needs to actually go to Italy and learn how to make an authentic wood fired pizza before trying to pawn one off. I mean the chef made our pizza with a burnt crust and yet still served it to us. What's with the pick- a - noodle and pick your sauce? In italy, certain noodles go with a specific sauce. It's not Burger King! Oh, and you will see that for some reason they are adding Mexican type dishes. Why? Stay with one and per- fect it. If you want Mexican go to a Mexican Restaurant. And they still do not know how to say Farmacia in Italian. It is pronounced "Farm- A- Chee - ah" "Trat-Tor-RIA." Not "Farm- Ah- See-Ah Trat-tor-e- ah.

My Husband and I tried this cute place tonight for the first time. AND WOW! The food is amazing! Wine was good! It is going to be a regular favorite! It's a must-try!

Tagliatelle Bolognese

My husband and I dined at Farmacia Trattoria yesterday evening. We were seated about 10-15 min after our reservation time and service was a bit slow but we were comped an appetizer as a result. I was prepared for smaller portions of pasta based on others reviews but must agree that the price point is a tad high. Nonetheless, the food was flavorful and we'll return in the future for a special occasion. We enjoyed the Crispy Artichokes, Tagliatelle Bolognese, Truffle Wagyu Beef Ravioli, Calabrese Pizza and Tiramisu. FYI - They do not serve liquor at this time but there is a limited beer and wine by the glass menu.

The food was amazing! We had the sausage rotini and the lasagna. We also shared a Caesar salad, which had the best dressing ever!

Definitely get the deep dish, however the pizza crust can be a little dry. It needs some finishing garlic butter at the end. Negatives - salad tasted old and is kind of plain. But can partially be excused as a throw away. I know a large styrofoam container should go at the bottom of the plastic bag, but then don't set heavy spaghetti and meatballs on top of the cheesy bread. Also negative was the attitude. I know you're busy, but then don't allow orders to be taken in the bar. Not a customer in there, but it seemed I bothered them to place my order. And then I waited 30 min for my order and didn't offer any water, even though I waited at the bar after ordering. Treat every customer like a secret shopper.

Oh Bigg Daddys, how you continue to disappoint me. I would give zero stars if I could but then I…read moredecided that 1 star was acceptable because our server, Cole, was great. In fact, if it wasn't for sweet Cole, I would have refused to pay the total tab of $93. I've been here many times and the food has been on a steady decline. No seasoning, small portions, dry chicken, vegetables beyond the point of decent and prices way too high for the meal even if it was good food. But I digress, I used to love this place, good food, great atmosphere, reasonable prices, open on Sundays and something other than fast food and in this area, all of those points made it a great place to eat. However, the past 4 times I've been here the only thing good was the service. The food is just awful and I don't say that as an exaggeration. I had to put so much salt and pepper on my salad just to make it have any semblance of flavor. This was after I asked for extra dressing to try and add flavor but it turned out, the dressing had no seasoning either! My husband is a man who will combine 3 day old Mexican food with 2 day old pasta, reheat it 3 times in the microwave then leave it for 24 hours and still eat it with no issues, I know, gross. Tonight, he ate the fries and 2 bites of his burger, which had the bun put on upside down, and quit eating because it had no flavor at all. I have tried and tried with you all at Bigg Daddys but I will say this, I will never be back except maybe for a drink at the bar, it's kinda hard to mess up a vodka soda, hopefully I haven't spoken too soon. I do hope that things will change because we need more good places to eat around here. I will admit that the only reason we ended up at Bigg Daddys again after our previous bad experiences, was because Fenders was closed, I didn't want to drive to Clarkesville, I had Mexican food the 2 previous nights and I was really hoping that the food would be good, although I knew I was probably going to be disappointed again, and I was. At least my 5:45 AM workout will be a breeze since I barely ate my salad and I now have very little to work off.

According to other Yelpers this may be the best Captain D's on the planet. The interior is not fast food bright so that's a winner. There are a couple people working the counter and monitoring the dining room for cleanliness. Also a winner. I ordered the fish and shrimp six dollar special, paid, and was handed a beeper. I found a table and waited a few minutes for the beeping, then went to the counter to get my food. The presentation was nice in a compartment plate. Also picked up some catsup packs. I received one long thick piece of fish, four shrimp, two hushpuppies, and fries. This was a good portion for a meal and a great portion for the price. The fish was hot, juicy, and tasted good. It is a mild white fish. The shrimp were shrimpy and the batter spicy. Fresh from the fryer.Another good one. Hushpuppies were the right size and corny, crunchy, and hot. The fries were a little bit of a let down as they were soft. They tasted ok. If the fries were better we would be in five star land. I'd go back and try some other things, I think it could be worth it.

Despite a low number of cars in the parking lot, we were greeted by a server who was helpful. Once we ordered, we got a beeper device, but didn't have long to wait for our order. I got salmon, green beans, and broccoli, as I am working on weight loss at the moment, while he got a fried fish and shrimp combo with fries and okra. Both orders were delicious. This location looks very attractive inside and outside, unlike the ones in my area, and it is convenient, with plenty of parking. The only downside is the price of the fountain drinks, and with the inflation that all businesses must manage, all I can say is that Captain D's has decided to push up the price there more than with the food. Our ticket was well over $30, but we'd eat there again, no doubt.
