What happened?!!? Let me start by saying this place used to be AMAZING! Beautiful wine list, long list of Italian liqueurs, beautiful seasonal menu done expertly, and an attentive staff. It knocked our socks off and we raved about it to everyone who would listen. My husband and I went back for a nice dinner after a period of 6 or so months and were appalled at the changes. It's a completely diff restaurant. Now they have a very small menu printed on computer paper of basic (boring) Americanized Italian dishes like spaghetti and fettuccine Alfredo and pizza, only a handful of wines (like basic red or white), no more after dinner liqueurs, a short basic cocktail list, and to be honest, service was not great. Our food took an hour to get to us and was cold. The kitchen looked like they were working without a head chef and was staffed by a couple of young boys who looked straight out of high school (no ageism intended but clearly they were misguided and are not professionals). The tomatoes in our Caprese salad were mushy and over ripe. The eggplant parm was dry and cold. We complained and were able to get some money off the bill but we are so extremely heartbroken by the drop in quality! For the prices they are charging they are smoking crack. We likely won't be back unless they go back to they restaurant they used to be. I won't be surprised to see this one go out of business if this is the route they continue to take. :( read more

It pains me to write this. I remember when Farmacia opened. It had a wine list like no other. Aperitif selection a page long. A genuine pasta section (secundi) and main (Primi). We had not been in in a few months and we showed up at 5:50pm. 3 tables were in house at the time. We were handed the menus and immediately my wife and I were perplexed. This was not the same restaurant. I even asked the server if the owner changed. Nope. We were lied to saying it was a season menu change - I'm in the business; that was menu engineering based of cost efficiency and was basically an Olive Garden menu. Pasta is not made from scratch anymore. We ordered two drinks, which have been limited to 5 options that the waiters are making as they have no steady bartender. The drinks were what you'd expect from an untrained person making them. Not worth $13. Then we ordered the Caprese and meatballs. We were hopeful the food quality hadn't changed. It did. The tomatoes were mush. It was a joke. Meatballs were cold. Again only 3 tables and it took 30 minutes. Our entrees were eggplant parmigiana and the sausage rigatoni- the eggplant was cold and they forgot the sausage in our food - on top of the massive wait the food was cold. It kills me to say this, but they had 3 high school aged men working in the kitchen. No culinary training. I stopped and watched. For the price charged, this was a embarrassment of a dinner. Management, I hope you read this. I understand menu engineering for hard times - but at least execute on it and don't be understaffed. read more

A lot of things have changed from our first visit shortly after it opened. We drove over an hour to find a scaled down menu not as expected. More like a glorified Pizza parlor. We ordered 2 small pizzas and 2 market fish specials. Pizza was good not great, but both fish plates were 3/4 uncooked. Waitress agreed and they tried to make it right but we were through with diner by then. Just a pure disappointment. Have been to FT before and thoughrouly enjoyed the experience. The food is excellent. BUT, yesterday, we learned they have had a head chef change. (Uh oh). The pasta type I wanted in my create your own pasta was unavailable. (2nd time, so I'm guessing it's a supply chain issue). Ordered the garlic butter rolls. Oops, we're out of those. Honestly, It is very disheartening to give this review. The service and food we received at Farmacia Trattoria tonight July 11,2026 was subpar. We have been there on several occasions and have always enjoyed our food and our complete dining experience. I never once saw a manager on the floor for the entire hour we were dining. We didn't complain once. We were very gracious and kind. We were told by our server that we would get a free canolli because of the problems with the timing of our appetizers and entrees coming out. We did not. My primary thought is that it is a management problem. It would be a shame to see such a fantastic restaurant close due to poor management. Please do better!! read more

My husband surprised me with a reservation here to celebrate my birthday. All I can say is Wow! We live in Dahlonega, so it's an hour drive but boy was it worth it! It's in an old building that housed a pharmacy for years, hence the name and decor. Our server was Fallin, who was very knowledgeable with suggestions and specials. We started with fried artichokes served with lemon aioli, which were outstanding I ordered Italian sausage ragu and my husband had a pesto pizza. They make their pesto in house with pistachios rather than pine nuts, which he loved! My Ragu was fabulous and I even brought some home. We did not order dessert, but the tiramisu looked awesome. They have an open kitchen with a gorgeous pizza oven from Italy. Service was prompt and spot on . Fallin brought me some biscotti on a candle lit plate along with a birthday card signed by all the employees The owners also own Community Brew and Tap an upscale steakhouse and a diner called Fenders Diner, all on the same block in downtown Cornelia... all three restaurants have won awards. Food was extremely mid...My wife, my son, and I ate here, dropping in out of curiosity after word-of-mouth. My son got a cheese pizza, which was undercooked and doughy in the middle. I got the lasagna, which was okay, but a bit overcooked. My wife got the chicken Alfredo, which had to be sent back for the kitchen because it was horribly salty, to the point it was completely inedible. When the dish was remade and made it back to the table, it was extremely oily and had hardly any flavor at all. We also got the fried mozzarella, which was decent. After tip and waters all around, the price came out to $85, which is utterly ridiculous. The ambiance was great, however. The server was great and accommodating, she was really the best part of the visit. Just not a great experience overall, the food wasn't worth the price we paid. read more

12" pizza has 6" of crust and cannot even see the ingredients (counted 8 small pieces of sausage. The pasta dishes are appetizer sized for full price. This is probably one of the best meals I've eaten in a long time. The Salmon with Caviar on top was absolutely delicious and my favorite dish of the night. Our waitress was amazing! What an absolutely wonderful experience. We drove up from Atlanta specifically to visit Farmacia after watching its build out in the months prior. We started with the Burrata Salad, which was loaded with crisp and fresh vegetables along with a generous portion of burrata. On top of that, the presentation was beautiful. From there, we decided on two primi and pizza to round out our meal. The primi was a ricotta and lemon zest special with zucchini cream. It was so wonderfully fresh and full of flavor. Also had the cacio e pepe. The pastas had a perfect bite that you only get from freshly made pasta. The work and care that went into the two pasta dishes was quite obvious. Added the sausage and fennel pizza on top of that. I believe the dough they make for pizza is sourdough. And I hate to be "that person," but it's the best pizza I've had since visiting Italy this past summer. Finished it off with a chocolate torte for dessert and some amaro to help it all go down. Our neighbors got the Branzino and it looked incredible, so that's what I'll get next time. I have to end this review by saying how much I appreciated our server, even if I can't remember their name. So, I came back although I said I would not just because it was decided beforehand and not by me. This place needs to just close the doors. We were a party of 4 and the only people there. You would think that the food would be perfect. It was not. I asked for Aperol to go with my prosecco. I was told they did not have any. Only to see 10 bottles right behind the front desk under some wine display as we were leaving. We ordered Arancini- a typical southern Italian fried rice ball. These looked like tiny golf balls and seemed frozen and not made from scratch. Arancini are supposed to be big and almost look like a snow cone. We were 4 and they brought 3. The pizzas. Sauce sucked, dough terrible, mozzarella no flavor,and the crust was black burnt. See photo below. We took it home because no one want to eat what they ordered at the time. The only good thing was the actual bottle of prosecco we had. Marcos serves a better pizza! Advice, someone needs to actually go to Italy and learn how to make an authentic wood fired pizza before trying to pawn one off. I mean the chef made our pizza with a burnt crust and yet still served it to us. What's with the pick- a - noodle and pick your sauce? In italy, certain noodles go with a specific sauce. It's not Burger King! Oh, and you will see that for some reason they are adding Mexican type dishes. Why? Stay with one and per- fect it. If you want Mexican go to a Mexican Restaurant. I was prepared for smaller portions of pasta based on others reviews but must agree that the price point is a tad high. Beautiful interior, great ambience, the pizza was pretty good but a bit overcooked in my opinion. They said that's the way it's done in Italy, but my wife is from Italy and I've been going all over the country with her for 25 years and it's not the way they do it in Italy. Still, it was good pizza just a bit overcooked. Also, the sides that we were supposed to have with our pizzas finally came out when we were almost finished eating, which was a bummer. The menu is a bit pricey, with cocktails and food literally on par with similar restaurants in Manhattan. Which was a bit surprising for Cornelia Georgia. I guess they get away with it because there's nothing else similar in the area. Overall we mostly enjoyed it, though, and I'd recommend it if you're nearby and don't mind spending $25-30 per personal pizza and $18-$25 for a cocktail. Heard and read great reviews so we tried it. Had the artichoke appetizer, it was interesting, they are very small and all fully edible except the stem. The Cesar salad was bland and nothing to write home about. The sausage and fennel pizza had way too much olive oil on it, to the point the slices were mushy and almost too oily to eat.
