So we decided to check out Farmhaus - it was downtown and had burgers which my husband was craving. Check check. PLUS they had a couple open tables. I've been here before, and didn't remember loving my burger. Today I did enjoy my burger ( The Haus Burger #1) but, my husbands was better. He had the burger with the chili. We shared fries and a drink. The total was around 22- Def a bit princely, but the ingredients are fresh and the burgers are good. It's not a weekly thing for us, but I enjoyed it. I've had their boozy milkshakes before and they were good! Though I couldn't finish one on my own. I think that's just me though, I think most people would be fine with their own. The burger was cooked to perfection, 2 patties with Blue Cheese, Smoked Bacon, Grilled Onions & Mayo on a wheat bun... my mouth is watering just talking about it. The Fries were crisp with just enough salt... oh and the deep fried jalapeño's, well... you have GOT to get an order if you like Jalapeños. Now the Nanna's Puddin' Shake was the just simply delicious!!! Made with Banana Rum, Irish Cream & Vanilla Wafers all grinder up with vanilla ice-cream topped off with Whipped cream in a nice little mason jar. Trust me... SPLURGE and get this Shake. I actually came here a few months ago after work and this place is as good as it gets. Everything on the menu looked very good but I chose a burger with really spicy fries and also a cocktail with Honeysuckle vodka and that has such a taste to it. It was my fist time trying that kind of vodka so it's a treat to be able to try it. I'm not sure any burger joint can do 5 stars (5 guys gets closest in my book) but I will keep Farmhaus on my list to go back to. There are 2 Farmhaus locations in Augusta; downtown and Wheeler Road, just north of I20. We've been to the Wheeler road location a couple times but never (so far) the downtown location (wished they were open on Sundays!) Love this place! We were passing through and stopped for lunch. The line was super long but the hostess said there were 2 seats at the bar. Went to sit and there was only one so we decided to leave and try somewhere else that wasn't so busy. The hostess came after us outside and apologized and took us to the front of the line to order. The young lady who took our order seemed happy to be there and was very helpful with the menu. The food was tasty and prompt. She made sure we knew when it was closing, so we could make our drink order on time. We both had cheeseburgers, and we usually like things pretty basic. I just had lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, mustard, onion and cheese. It was a double-patty, semi-smash burger style. I think it may have been the spices, or the fun setting, or the fantastic deal, but it was one of the best burgers I've had. We split an order of fries and had plenty to eat. What an incredible gem in downtown Augusta! We were visiting from Boston and were blown away not only by the amazing food, all locally sourced, but also by the attentive staff. As soon as we walked in, Ethan, one of the managers, immediately showed us the Southern Love. We are traveling with two young kids, and orders don't always work out the way one envisioned. This this is a fast food place with a little twist to it, it is not your standard go in and order then sit down .Her you actually wait in line place your order they give you a number you have a seat and they bring the food out to you. Customer service was great! No complaints there! Awesome staff! I'm glad we were informed about the take out line, here I am thinking it was only for people who made an order online and were just there to pick up but thanks to the friendly cashier who let us know that next time we could just skip in line and go to take out line since we weren't eating in house but rather taking our food to go. That was nice! My three star rating is solely for the fact that my garten burger was not at all what I was expecting. I couldn't take a bite without having huge pieces fall apart. I like that they tried to put quinoa in it or whatever but it just didn't quite do it for me. However, it was aesthetically pleasing, sorta like looking at a Krabby Patty in real life haha. Stopped here on a road trip to Atlanta. I had the veggie burger and their sweet potato tater tots. The veggie burger was decent. It was a little bit dry but everything else made up for it! I was excited to try the sweet potato tots because I love sweet potato fries but it was not what I expected. It's basically a tater tot stuffed with shredded sweet potato. It comes with a sauce which was OK. I wouldn't go for these again. The lady that took our order was very nice and helpful. The restaurant was very clean! Let me tell you! You have to give this place a try. This was maybe the best burger I've ever eaten! I didn't get a picture of the food because when it came out, it looked so good, that I immediately bit into it and I couldn't stop!!!! I got the B&B burger and it has the most tangy bleu cheese crumbles. It was cooked perfectly, and oh so juicy. The hand cut fries are something to write home about. It was down right embarrassing to eat the burger because of all the juicy goodness that runs out when you bite it! I don't know if I was extremely hungry or that burger was sent straight from heaven, all I do know is that I must try it again to see if the results are the same (wink,wink)!!!!
