I was famished for lunch so I decided to hit up Farmhaus for a nice juicy burger. Little did I know when I got there that everyone and their mom's decided to come here for lunch as well. Starving, I waited 15 whole minutes in line before somebody took my order. To be real honest though, I probably needed the extra time. I couldn't decide between 'The Wild Turkey' and the 'Farmstyle.' Why? Initially, I wanted to be somewhat healthy and order turkey instead of beef. Then I was like "F that, I'm on 'vacation.'" My inner fat girl had won yet again. I visited Farmhaus Burger prior to becoming a vegetarian, so my food experience was a little different. Most recently, I visited with friends and enjoyed the restaurants lovely atmosphere. I visited with a group of six. What's great about coming with a group is the ordering process. Everyone can go to the counter and place their order. They also pay there. A group doesn't have to worry about gratuity in this setting. While a server does bring the food to you it isn't constant like most places. The group did leave a tip, but without the looming pressure of gratuity. Everyone enjoyed their food. I ordered a side salad topped with a veggie patty. It was good. They also have great sweet potato bites or taters. I thought they were good too. I had a glass of Merlot also. The restaurant is on the corner. Great location downtown. We all parked in various locations downtown and it was an easy walk. The staff is nice, the restaurant is very nice, great decor. I'd visit again. read more

It's good for Augusta would be how I see it hence the 4 stars vs the 2.5 it would get if it were located in a larger city. Vortex, Yeah Burger, Farm Burger, and Flip Burger in Atlanta blows this place out of the water, but who has the time to drive 2 hours for a burger. I'm usually commuting between Augusta and Atlanta on a regular basis so please excuse my bias. Fries: Really good. Good crunch to them. You can definitely tell they were made fresh and not from frozen. Even if they were, they're still freakin delicious. Seasoned similarly to Checkers' fries. Sweet potato tater tots: Good crunch on the outside and gooey on the inside. Not as "sweet" as I was expecting compared to other places. Good dipping sauce. Veggie burger: No seasoning. Very mushy center that wasn't appetizing. Order the one of the menu and it had one measly thing of lettuce, 3 rings of onions, and barely any sauce to give it any flavor. Disappointing. Turkey burger: Customized this one with plenty of veggies. However, the actual turkey patty was not very juicy and pretty flavorless. The saving grace for this was the sauce and veggies I requested. Beef burger: Stole a few bites of this from the boyfriend and it's infinitely better than the turkey or veggie burger. Meat had good seasoning and a nice char on the edges. Sucks that I'm not a big fan of beef... Service is pretty good for an order-at-the-counter and fill your own drinks joint. They come by to make sure things are okay and take your tray away. Tonight's visit was awesome!! I was greeted by the friendly faces of the FarmHaus associates. This was my daughter's first time and the waitress was super patient as she figured out what she wanted. I ordered the FarmHaus burger!! Ironically, I hate the taste of egg but on this burger it's a must. And tonight my burger was made with what felt like love...lol. The beef patties were grilled to perfection, tender and seasoned all the way through. Gouda cheese melted perfect between each patty and the egg placed just right, on top of the patties and right in the middle. Now if you are a bacon lover, leave the bacon on, I unfortunately cannot eat bacon but the burger is still great. Nice atmosphere for gatherings and in the midst of downtown night life. I had a great ambient experience here but the food didn't come out hot. The serve staff was great! My burger was lukewarm but the fires were hot and delicious. I did the "build your burger" and ordered avacado on it. They gave me three small slivers which was disappointing. The guy running the register didn't know much about the special bacon sauce. Lets talk about what makes them different instead. They use local products, not your typical dry ice big rig delivered products found at every other burger joint. The Angus farmers in SC provide the burger beef and milkshakes use local milk. This might not seem like a value add, but it's noticeable in the quality of food. You don't have to be a hippie to appreciate this, after all there's a new age of the hippie: it's called eating healthy. Order your food, get your number and take a seat! Some people have trouble with this concept, but it's not very different than any other burger place I've been to. Just RELAX people! Follow the rules and nobody gets hurt. I have tried nearly everything on the menu without a complaint, other than price. But HEY, you pay for quality right? I keep telling myself I am only going to eat at Farmhaus Burger for the discounted lunch special, but dinner is more convenient (just not for my wallet). This place is AMAZING! My husband and a few of our friends came here to eat before dropping us off at the airport (we live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana). There is no waiter/waitress so you order your food at the front of the restaurant. The staff was super friendly and had great suggestions on what to choose from based on what I told her that I liked. I ordered the Haus burger and a side of sweet potato tots. After placing our order, we sat down at a table and our food was ready in 15 minutes- Take into account that this was on a Saturday during lunch hour. I felt that they were very quick to give us our food! The burger was so juicy and fresh! But i will say, the winner was defiantly the sweet potato tots! Oh my goodness, the burger was one of the best I've had. So juicy! And the gluten free bun (I can't eat gluten) was the absolute best gluten free anything I've ever had. They accommodated my food intolerances so nicely, and one of the employees was so happy to go to the trouble to give us all the details about the gluten free bun. Even though for some reason (visiting from out of town) I was expecting a fancy restaurant and a glass of wine, I was only slightly disappointed until I took my first bite. I've been to here a quite a few times now. There's a good selection of burgers that you can choice from at Farmhaus. I have yet to get an actually burger though. Most of the times I've come here, I've gotten the turkey burgers, banana pudding boozy shakes, and the sweet potato tots. All of these are pretty good and very tasty. The last time I was here about a few weeks ago, I got the bison burger with bacon added to it. It was the burger special of October I believe. It was delicious! If you're a burger lover, definitely check this burger jank out! If not, still go check this out because they have some other options on their menu besides burgers. Heard about this place from a few locals and WOW their burgers are amazing! I built my own turkey burger and the grille onion are a must! Super juicy and filling for my sides I went with the sweet potato tots which were different but good & of course did the fried pickles which were great. Def a must in the south. Enjoyed this place when I lived closer to Augusta, and made a point to stop here when visiting. Fast, friendly service; delicious food.

This place was alright. Definitely better than fast food, but it's nothing to go crazy over. I feel like it has a lot of potential to be a superb burger joint if they were to make a few changes. So here's what i liked about it: 1. Very reasonable prices ($7-12) 2. Farm to table style. By far the greatest attribute 3. Full bar 4. Nice workers Here's what i didn't like: 1. Very bland burgers. I have tried both the turkey and beef burgers, and they both just taste like meat. Not really any distinctive flavor to them. This may be ok or even preferable for some people, but i prefer more pizzazz with my food. 2. Very loud/packed restaurant I think the farm to table aspect is amazing. Mostly for the cheap price. "This place tastes hipster." -my bf. and that's not a bad thing!!! We ordered a side of onion rings, the b&b burger, and the special--Asian BBQ burger (because we are Asian). The Brie in the b&b was a highlight, as was the tangy BBQ sauce in the Asian burger. The bread held the burgers together well. even though the burger was dripping with juices it did not get soggy. I built my own burger with Angus beef, white bread, whole-grain mustard, pickles and aged cheddar. I added the sweet potato tater tots as my side. Turns out the tater tots have onions in the filling. I have an onion allergy and I was unable to eat them. My husband said they were delicious. I started to eat my burger and felt like something tasted or smell off. So I started pulling it apart- tasting just the mustard, and just the pickles, and just the bun, and finally just the beef. It was the beef. Something was off with the beef. It smelled and tasted slightly like fish, in a restaurant that serves no fish. Needless to say I did not eat my burger. My husband had the burger with a fried egg and ordered a side of fries. He loved his devoured it. I asked him if his smelled funny and he said no. The fries were delicious. I would be willing to go back and try something else, maybe grilled chicken? Was on a work trip and decided to have dinner here and I was very impressed! The place has a modern hipster look to it and is located in the pretty downtown portion of Augusta. You order at the front and even though it was dinner time the line was pretty short when I went. The staff is very friendly and they have a bit of funny sarcasm humor which is nice. I had a veggie burger which was spicy with jalapenos and creamy with avocado. Also the veggies on the burger were very fresh and tasty. The patty was also moist and plump which is nice since most veggie pattys end up dry which is gross. The burger was just plain awesome! But the best part of the meal, hands down, was the gorilla milkshake! It's tequila, vodka and kahlua - Omg omg omg it was sooo good and definitely what I needed. You get the cool creamy tasty milkshake flavor with a forceful alcohol aftertaste. I ordered a Turkey burger and fries and a side of the fried jalapenos. The Turkey burger was not soggy at all... very well put together and hot. I love the fact that the fries were hot and seasoned well. The fried jalapeno's did not have too much heat to them they were just right. I want to give a 5 but then also I want to give a 4. The reason for the 4 stars because it took a long time to come out with the food. The jalapeños were either extremely spicy or not hot at all. Which was a perfect combination to keep you eating more. We also had an Oreo shake. The shake was delicious, the size for the price was a little off. But because the ice cream used was organic I guess that made sense why the amount wasn't as much as other restaurants. While I was living in Augusta, this was our go-to joint for quality burgers. By no means am I even a big burger fan, but Farmhaus is soooo good. The level of customization is astounding--I usually get the egg on top as well. Also, the hype is real: get a boozy shake.
