The whole place feels refreshed in the best way while still keeping that calm, cozy charm that makes you want to linger a little longer. The atmosphere is effortlessly chill. Between the warm wood accents, lush greenery, and soft natural light, it feels like a tiny indoor oasis. It's the kind of spot where you can reset your day with something nourishing in hand. The menu updates have been fantastic. I love that they've added Lotus as an option, but what really stands out is their fresh juice. It's such a treat to walk in and have something made right then and there. They still offer their cold-pressed juices, which is great, but having both options makes it feel more personal and intentional. Their smoothies and açaí bowls are also top-tier, and you can genuinely taste the difference when they use real açaí. My current obsession is the Dragon Breeze with coconut milk instead of coconut water. The dragon fruit, mango, pineapple, and strawberry combo is already incredible, but the coconut milk makes it extra smooth, creamy, and refreshing. It's easily one of the best drinks I've had anywhere. The service is always warm and welcoming, and you can tell there's real care behind everything they do. Our Hive continues to be one of my favorite local spots, and I can't recommend it enough.

Time to step it up. Let's try a daily special or a Thursday/Friday special; hello Teriyaki Burger??? - I've regularly seen people leave when they learn the Mariners game isn't available. If it wasn't for the awesome service, I'd be frequenting some other local establishment. (The nearby steak house has an awesome double cheeseburger)

The issue is what you use for your breakfast doesn't correlate what you charge I ordered chicken and waffles, eggs, scrambled, and two orders of grits The whole order came out to about almost $50 I understand that the price of goods have gone up, but if you're going to charge people more than use fresh products or better product products the fact that you're charging over 6 dollars for grits that are literally the packet grits not even instant grits which you can't even tell their instant but you guys are charging that for a packet of grits so I paid $12 for the Quaker oats packet grits, which is insane The waffle was undercooked, and the chicken was cooked well but as dry as all get out. I did eat the eggs so that's the only win! I get it. I totally do, but it is super insane and I am livid about the grits as a southerner to sell people packet grits for that much is basically robbery. One order pays for literally a box of them or two boxes. I'm so disappointed.

Right off the bat, the hostess stood out. She was genuinely engaging and welcoming (wish I had caught her name), and we were seated immediately in the bar area. It was a little past the lunch rush--around 2 PM--so it was nice and relaxed, which made for a comfortable, easygoing vibe. We went back and forth trying to beat the lunch cutoff or just lean into the happy hour menu, and ended up doing a bit of both. We split a Caesar salad, which was fresh and really well done. For the main, we had the bacon avocado chicken wrap with tots--great flavor, definitely a solid choice. The only knock was the tots were a little on the cooling-off side and didn't quite hit the mark... although I still managed to finish them. To drink, I went with a Sky Kraken Pale Ale, which was excellent (and yes, there's photo evidence). Hey I'm retired now, I can drink at lunch! Overall, really enjoyable stop--good food, great service, and a laid-back atmosphere. We'd absolutely come back again. Solid 4 stars.

They offer pre-packaged breakfast sandwiches with meat, egg & cheese or a veggie (soy) burrito that they heat up in a sealed paper package. They toasted up a plain bagel for me and gave me a plastic knife and plenty of cream cheese to smear over all. We pulled over in their parking area to tend to my bagel before driving on. The espresso drink I ordered was excellent. Smooth, hot, bold. Would absolutely get this again.

ROAST REPUBLIC: A MISLEADING MANIFESTO OF MEATY DISAPPOINTMENT…read more Listen, their coffee is an absolute revelation - each sip is like having your taste buds personally high-fived by the coffee gods themselves. BUT WHERE ARE THE SLOW-COOKED POT ROASTS? I showed up with THREE SEPARATE GRAVY BOATS and my grandmother's vintage meat thermometer FOR NOTHING. Their house blend has notes of chocolate, caramel, and bitter betrayal - because despite the word "ROAST" being RIGHT THERE IN THE NAME, I have yet to see a single dutch oven full of fork-tender beef chuck with baby carrots. I've been carrying around these emergency potatoes in my pocket FOR WEEKS just in case today was finally pot roast day. Sure, their light roast Ethiopian Yirgacheffe dances on your tongue with hints of bergamot and citrus. But let's talk about what's really important: I've developed a comprehensive business plan for a combination coffee shop/pot roast takeout window. I call it "Brews & Braising." They won't even look at my drawings of the proposed gravy dispensing station. The baristas can describe their roasting process down to the exact second and degree, but can they tell me why there isn't a single slow cooker bubbling away with aromatics and beef stock behind the counter? I've started bringing my own crockpot and just staring at it meaningfully while ordering my cappuccino. Their nitro cold brew is silky smooth with a perfect cascade. Whatever. You know what else cascades beautifully? PERFECTLY LAYERED POT ROAST WITH ROOT VEGETABLES. The sign says "Roast" Republic, not "Just Coffee Bean Roast and No Other Types of Roast Whatsoever" Republic. I've spent countless hours in their comfortable seating area, inhaling the aroma of freshly roasted coffee while quietly weeping over the complete absence of slow-cooked meat. I even created a loyalty program concept: "Buy 10 lattes, get a free pot roast." They said it "wasn't aligned with their brand vision." WHOSE VISION DOESN'T INCLUDE POT ROAST? Five stars for their coffee program - their commitment to bean sourcing and roasting is exceptional. But NEGATIVE MEAT stars for the cruel bait-and-switch of their name. I've started a support group for other customers who came expecting a combination coffee shop/pot roast emporium. We meet weekly, drinking their excellent coffee while sharing pot roast recipes that will never be used here. P.S. I heard they're introducing new seasonal drinks next month. I've already prepared a 73-page proposal for "The Pot Roast Latte" - coffee with beef broth and caramelized onion foam. Their loss. P.P.S. The pastries are delightful, though they would pair perfectly with a side of fork-tender chuck roast. I'm just saying, nobody ever complained about having TOO MANY pot roast options with their morning coffee. Note: To the staff who keep explaining that they only roast coffee beans - I understand, but have you considered the marketing potential of "Buy a pound of coffee, get a pound of pot roast"? I've already designed the promotional materials. The slogan is "Come for the Coffee, Stay for the Meat Sweats." Special Addendum: I'm not saying your business model is flawed, but I am saying that every coffee shop is improved by the addition of at least one industrial-sized slow cooker named Bessie. Think about it.

However, the tables are packed closely together. On one of the booth seats, I believe it's attached both ways; my side of the booth seat and then the neighbor's side of the booth seat. So... the person at the table behind me kept shifting around in their seat, causing the side of mine to lift up and down a little with each motion. This was incredibly annoying, though it was only these booth seats that had this annoying function. The food: The food was good, but came in pretty small portions. Just one waffle with fruit, eggs, and two strips of bacon were about $20. The food was good, but it did seem a little spendy to me. The service: My fruit waffle barely had any whipped cream - I didn't say anything about it - but the waitress noticed and immediately got more whipped cream for it. So shoutout to the awesome waitress, Monse! She was so kind, cheerful, and absolutely awesome! Also, my cousin ordered waffles without butter, but she got a waffle with a big slab of butter on it. So communication between staff for that wasn't ideal. Final thoughts: Food was good, but the portions were too small to justify the price. Service was amazing!
