    Eggs, sausage, hashbrowns

This place has a beautiful view, ample seating and very clean restrooms. The service was good, but minimal. The food was par. The eggs were cooked well, hashbrowns a tad under done, but the deal breaker for me was that the biscuits definitely come pre-baked from a supplier and the gravy tastes like its from a can. Not at all what I expect from a mom and pop kind of joint. Over all, very disappointing. I would not recommend due to low quality food.

Just stopped in for a treat! It's a great place! Restaurant is on one side and a coffee shop on the other. With update review when I try the restaurant.

Lots of variety in the bakery section- even my favorite plain old fashioned donut which is shore hard to find these days. Crisp on the outside but light and airy inside Cappuccino was delicious with lots of foam. Everything is yummy and the view was amazing They have an outside patio you can go to take pictures too We also bought some macarons to go, they look like they would be super sweet but in reality was just right, soft, tasty but not overly sweet, just right We got there around 11-12 on Saturday and didn't really have to wait for a table- but would recommend calling ahead to check on wait times cause they can definitely get busy

So lucky to have found this place. While we have only visited for breakfast, I can imagine their lunch and dinner options are great. The restaurant is in an old style building and the interior is a large space, with great views of Mt Rainier if you are lucky to go on a clear day. The staff are friendly, and pretty good at taking orders as quick as they can. The menu is plentiful, so there is going to be something you enjoy. We have had a variety of options, but the pancake breakfast and the French toast have been my favorite. The omelette is wonderful as well, but the portions are fantastic for the prices. They do coffee refills and use a tasty drip coffee. They also offer a complimentary peaches and mini muffin while you wait! The bakery right next door is delightful, there is always a great range of baked goods. This place is a treat and I hope it stays consistent because it's a great treasure! There is lots of parking available anytime we visit.

Black Diamond is an institution, as it has weathered ownership change through the years and stands the test of time. It's just a fixture in this area whether it be a family tradition or a reliable stop in the fall during a day of leaf lookers and fall foliage followers. It's a comfortable traditional restaurant/diner in casual country digs. You can get breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You can also just stop in for Blue Bunny ice cream or some fresh baked bread and bakery items. The young lady helping us at the bakery counter was friendly and moved the line during an unexpected afternoon rush. Whichever you choose, it is worth the stop.

I had a good experience here and would come back! I came at a weird time between lunch and dinner and had to wait 30 min before I could order dinner. That's my only reason for a 4 stars. Everything else was great through! I ordered pasties while I waited for the dinner and did dessert before dinner and don't regret it! All the bakery items were really tasty and reasonably priced. I think in coming back, I will likely load up on the bakery and take the food to go.

Apple strudel, can even freeze it, bake it, and it tastes great!

My husband's aunt and uncle got apple strudel for Thanksgiving and it was so good, I had to make a review. They consistently visit whenever they can for their cinnamon buns and strudels. Its a perfect breakfast treat paired with a good cup of coffee. Service to them has always been good and the food has always been delicious. Theyve been a customer for years and continue to stay loyal for a good bite. Overall, as a fan of their apple strudel, which honestly is the best one I have had, I will give them a visit and try other items.

Delicious food, fun atmosphere, family friendly and wonderful service. A must try. We tried the Crispy shrimp burger, Chicken fried steak and kids pancakes with bacon. Everything was flavorful, seasoned perfectly, crispy and fresh. We will be back again! Everything from the service to the food was perfection. Bakery is full of delicious goodies and baked breads! Servers were very attentive. Truly a gem and worth any drive. it's nestled in a cute little "town" which is advertised as being over 120yrs old!

Amazing bakery and restaurant. Very quaint but don't let the decor fool you. I've had a lot of BLTs in this one was by far the best I've ever had. Bacon was perfect, the perfect amount of mayo, all the vegetables are fresh, and nice toasted white bread. My friend got the gobbler and that was just as good. I also bought some sourdough bread, some jalapeño rolls, and some cinnamon chocolate pretzels for my grandkids. Definitely a must visit. Oh, and they even serve ice cream!

Located in the historic area of Black Diamond, this business serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in their dining room. The bakery area offers breads and a variety of sweet treats from donuts to cakes and many things between. The business also offers a couple of rooms for private parties, coffee drinks and ice cream treats. First, there are three door into the building. Two were locked during each of our visits and although they are all signed as being the bakery they do not indicating that only one door is unlocked. The one that was unlocked is at the far end of the building. Nearest the bike rack. Furthest from the other businesses in the area. We saw a couple of young woman trying to get into the bakery for a coffee and were frustrated when the doors were locked! Breakfast is expected fare. Eggs, pancakes, and so on. We didn't find the breakfast outstanding; it's fine. Salt & pepper are on the table. Ask for ketchup or hot sauce if you like. Coffee is ok too. Dinner menu includes a number of entrees, salads and sandwiches. Again, food was OK, nothing you'll droll over in your dreams. Everything was palatable, nothing exceptionable, standard fare. Food quality is good. Taste is a bit bland, which restaurants sometimes do: as they are serving a number of different palates they stay in a 'safe' zone. We tried some of their ice cream and coffee drinks. These were tasty and a nice treat on a warm day. They offer a patio with metal tables and seats at the back of the small dining area accessible by a walkway at the end of the building or through the small dining room. The restaurant feeds a cat out on the patio and during one of our visits a local racoon was dining on cat food. Wood tables and chairs throughout both dining areas. Restrooms, off the larger dining area, were clean. Parking in front of building and across the street. As there are a few businesses in this area, we also saw cars parked street side during the dinner hours. Bicycle racks are available on the sidewalk at the corner of a side street closest to the building.

We came here on a Saturday night to celebrate my sister's birthday and were very impressed overall…read more The warm bread with oil was a great start, and the loaded potato skins ($13) were delicious even without the ranch. Drinks were solid and fairly priced: a spruce tip golden ale ($6.75), Modelo ($6), margarita ($15), and two glasses of German Riesling ($23). Entrees included chicken Florentine (subbed with shrimp for +$3), chicken fettuccine Alfredo, and fettuccine primavera (with shrimp for +$7). Everything came out hot, seasoned well, and very tasty, though my Florentine was light on spinach. Desserts were a highlight--raspberry cheesecake that was fluffy and creamy with a good crust, and a rich crème brûlée that disappeared quickly. The restaurant itself is small and cozy, set in what feels like an old home. Inside has around 15 tables and can get loud; the staff accommodated our request to move outside to the porch, which turned out to be perfect. Service was friendly, though our server forgot small requests like bread and to-go boxes until later. Prices felt fair, portions were generous, and the menu is well-balanced. My only real nitpicks: no Pinot Noir on the wine list (surprising for the PNW), and the Florentine could use more spinach. Parking is limited to a few street spots or a dirt lot across the way that seemed fine. Bottom line: excellent food, cozy atmosphere, and a great value. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area--and even worth a little road trip.

This establishment doesn't just serve drinks--they serve EXPERIENCES, specifically soundtracked by an endless loop of Smash Mouth, Avril Lavigne, and *NSYNC that would make Carson Daly weep tears of frosted-tipped joy. The bartenders here don't just pour drinks--they're like spiritual guides through the realm of grain alcohol enlightenment. They've got stuff so potent it could strip paint off a submarine, and they serve it with the kind of confidence usually reserved for bomb disposal experts. Their signature drink, "The Y2K Bug," comes with a mandatory signing of medical release forms and a brief consultation with your next of kin. But let's talk about their commitment to the early 2000s pop music scene. The jukebox exists in a temporal loop where it's perpetually 2003. "All Star" plays every 47 minutes with the precision of an atomic clock. I once witnessed a group of investment bankers completely lose it during "Bye Bye Bye," performing the original choreography with such passion that Justin Timberlake probably felt a disturbance in the force. The weekly karaoke nights are the stuff of local legend. Every Thursday, the entire bar transforms into what I can only describe as "American Idol meets Thunder Dome." Last week, someone performed Britney's "Oops!... I Did It Again" while dressed as a fully-operational vending machine. The crowd went so wild they had to replace three load-bearing walls the next day. The regulars here have developed their own bizarre ecosystem. There's a group that shows up every Tuesday wearing matching bedazzled jumpsuits, and nobody questions it. The staff has started timing their drink service to the exact moment Christina Aguilera hits the high note in "Beautiful." Five stars. Would absolutely risk permanent hearing damage from singing along to "Who Let The Dogs Out" for the 47th time while sipping something that could probably power a jet engine. Just remember to bring your flame-retardant crop top and your signed liability waiver. P.S. The bathroom graffiti is exclusively written in boy band lyrics. It's basically a museum at this point.

Burgers were loaded but the knock on them was that they were over cooked for both my wife and I, while also being small compared to the bun. Overall, the flavor was still good and along with good beers (we got the Kolsch & Pale Ale) it was a 4 star experience. Funny thing is, Maple Valley has become semi affluent over the past decade, and I never would have expected this to be the attitude, but I assure you, I stood out like a bruised thumb here. Service was really slow and for a while, I thought I was being ignored. The only person I saw working walked by me about 3-4 times before saying a word and asking me what I was drinking. I had already seen what I assumed was the menu on Yelp via photos, and short or a very small price increase from 2022, it was spot on. I ordered my food and it was prepared fairly quick, the cook slapped the bell, and the server grabbed it in about a minute, but my meal was barely warm., I had a burger dip and the burger and au jus were both room temp. The fries were golden, but also room temp and not crisp. It was disappointing, because you could tell the food was better than you would expect, but nothing it great at room temp. My drink went unfilled, and it was at least 15 minutes after I finished eating that I was handed the check. The server was so busy being social with regulars, I didn't get the attention I needed. For me, a meal is 30-40 from entry to exit, I was here almost 90 minutes to give you an idea of how slow the service was, It wasn't busy, the server was just not doing her job and the longer I sat, the less welcome I felt. Honestly, I've had warmer reception in Enumclaw and that is a city notorious for refusing diversity. Whoever owns this place needs to be more involved and if you invested some money into updating the décor and focusing on a better atmosphere, you could attract a crowd, as of now, you get 2 stars despite what I see as 4-star potential.
