My husband and I were there sunday 8/10 for breakfast we walked in and no air conditioning, waiter asked us if we wanted something to drink and gave us menus brought coffee and no interaction for half an hour. Very poor customer service. There explanation was it was busy! I think they only had 10 tables and there were 2 staff waiting on tables, and another cleaning off tables. Not good at multitasking. We paid for our coffee and went next door to downtown diner. Excellent service and great food! read more

What a great breakfast! My egg sandwich was called a Flaming Rooster, and had melted Monterey Jack and Sriracha mixed in. We also ordered an extra butterscotch pancake as our "dessert". So good! To add to our indulgent meal, the staff brought us a complimentary sweet dish called Sooji halwa - which was a semolina pudding with pistachios. Great service, nice vibe. read more

Great food with hefty portions that were welcome after a week of backpacking nearby. Got the mountain man breakfast with blueberry pancakes. Loved the touch of real maple syrup that is allegedly sourced from local trees. Cozy atmosphere and pretty good vibes. Prices were a bit much for breakfast food, but about on par for the region. Service was a little lacking, with a longer wait time for our order to be taken and had to request refills for water multiple times, but once it arrived it was excellent. First the eggs, they were as usual nothing to say. Second the home fries, they were... amazing!! They were crunchy, they were balanced, and they tasted so Gooood! Finally the coffee and pancakes. Tasty and flavorful food beautifully presented. The menu is not extensive and centers around scrambled eggs. Very nice place, run by a sweet and courteous pair. A little pricier than the next door Downtown Diner. But don't come before 8 am. They do not open before then. We tried around 7:10 on Thursday and at 8:00 on Saturday. They were closed on Thursday with no one inside and were just opening on Saturday at 8. read more

We were a little iffy at first about this place because they have a small menu, but we were insanely wrong because this is some of the best breakfast food I have ever had! I got an omelette with home fries and the home fries were seasoned to perfection. The omelette came with little chives on top and every plate came with fruit. The person I went with got eggs, bacon, a pancake, and home fries. Every single thing we ordered was just the best breakfast food I've had in a long time. Plus, the service was phenomenal, everyone was very nice and accommodating. The restaurant has very cute, cabin-like decor. This place should absolutely not be overlooked, a must try when in lake placid. Side note, there is a very convenient parking lot across the street and it's free to park there. 10/10 recommend!! read more

If I could get a seat I would give a good rating but I was there 9 am busy time. 3 workers passed by us within 10 mins in the front waiting area. They all tried to avoid eye contact and just pass by us like we were invisible people. If one of them just say "I'll be right with you" or "hello". None of these greeting. I get it's busy hours but it's basic human courtesy. Especially, you all are in serving business. Get it right from the foundation before serving nice food. I just walked up and found another place in a few mins that serves the same decent breakfast. When I went inside the restaurant 2/3 of the people were anxiously waiting for their food. Free public parking across the street, 60s-70's music mix, not many tables. They take credit cards, but won't split checks. Today the machine wasn't working, so cash only. Waiter was very accommodating and had a friendly smile. They didn't have any sugar-free syrup, so they served me their "Barkeater" without sprinkled sugar on top (at my request) and soft butter, the latter of which it turns out I didn't need. My dish was two thick, soft slices of French toast sandwiched around blueberries, blueberry jam and cream cheese (all mixed together). It seemed like the sweet and fruity epicurean cousin of a grilled cheese sandwich. It was a rare and wonderful delight, appropriately groomed with an orange slice, a blackberry and a strawberry. My wife enjoyed their oatmeal with a generous medley of strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. She thought their coffee was on par with some of the better, well known coffee chains. read more

We love farmhouse! We go every time we're in lake placid. The food is next level. Highly recommend the pumpkin flapjacks and the home fries. Only complaint is they often aren't open on time which is frustrating if you want to get up and out early. They are cash only as of Mid-June. read more

Missed out on this place on my first trip to Lake Placid, so I made sure to dine here the second time around - and I'm glad I did. The food was excellent. Got the three egg omelette, and did it with tomatoes and double the goat cheese. It was delicious, as were the home fries. The food came with a nice little helping of fresh fruit, which was a nice touch. Coffee was okay. I really came for the food though, and it did not disappoint. Friendly staff and cute atmosphere.
