Oh Hell No! Never again will I EVER take any furbaby to these greedy, heartless "doctor's,…read morereceptionists & nurses". They have no compassion anymore and I've been taking my animals there for at least 10yrs. Now even with more doctors to help, the bottom line is all they are there for mighty dollar They DON'T give back to their community, who is lining pockets & honestly care less about when you're payday is. In these times they should be a little nicer and stop hanging up on people. FUCK THAT $$ MAKING OVERPRICED, OVERPAID, & straight up hateful folks. THATS REAL TALK

When it came time where I had to lay two of my baby down, because they had no quality of life left. They genuinely made me feel at ease with Nikki. Unlike the one off 291 when it was Emma's time. The other clinic tried to get me to further my 17-year-old Shih Tzu's life , by trying to get me to order x-rays , to see if I could further her life even further. Just a little history she was blind, deaf, and wasn't able to hold her bladder anymore. Leaving me feeling guilty for putting her down. If it wasn't for my son saying something to the doctor, I probably would have left without going through laying her to rest. I will never go through that again! Independence Animal Hospital , was caring, gave us our time, didn't rush us out of the room, while my family and I lay with her as she went to sleep. I left there feeling at ease. They made me feel I was doing the right thing.Which speaks volumes to me. After experiencing the traumatic experience with the other place. So I have much respect for this place! Always able to meet my needs, and Always ALWAYS stepping up when they needed too. I've been through a lot with some of my babies, and they are always attentive to explaining things that I may not understand fully. They saved my Cane Corse Harley's life. If it weren't for them, she wouldn't be here today. The nurses are the shit! The front desk girls (no matter the time of day) they are Always pleasant, and I love Dr Becker. Can't appreciate them enough!

She had some road rash and was obviously very sore and tired. I called around, frankly, to compare prices and get a feel for where we were going to take her to get checked out. There is another clinic in the northland, a local chain, that we've had to use before. I got the feeling, from the telephone call and our previous experience with them, that they were going to try to 'upsell' me treatment and tests that might not necessarily be required. They discussed her needing an ultrasound, sight unseen. Their price for a basic exam was $15 higher than the MU emergency vet, X-rays-if needed- were quoted at twice the price. MU's reviews were higher and their thoughts on the situation sounded reasonable, so we went to the MU clinic. To say we were not disappointed is an understatement. The staff was friendly, attentive and understanding. Dr. Fry did a thorough physical exam, assessing her joints for range of motion and smooth movement, the level of pain she felt with movement, the color of her gums and the capillary refill rate, palpated her abdominal organs, checked her temperature, and more. He watched her walk. He was very soothing and gentle with her. He said he didn't really think any X-rays or other tests were necessary based on his findings. He gave us antibiotics for her flesh wounds, didn't recommend putting her through cleaning them as it would be painful and unnecessary because they were already scabbed over. He even discussed what pain meds we already had at home and said that they would work just fine, which saved us some money. They provided appropriate, conservative, and loving care, advised us to follow up with our regular vet in a week or so and to bring her back to them if she seemed to feel worse at all. Before we even walked into their competitor's practice, I knew I would be looking at a $500+ bill there. Exam and medicine at the MU clinic was $124 Comparing the cost and quality of care we received at their competitor in the past with the care we received tonight, there is no doubt where we will go if we have another emergency arise.

We had just moved to the area from Tacoma, WA and had no ER or veterinary service outside Fort Leavenworth, KS. We still received over the phone guidance without being regular customers. Woodrow continued to get sicker throughout the evening and we brought him in for diagnosis and treatment around 10pm on Friday night. Dr. Gants and team quickly evaluated and treated Woodrow for HGE. It's been almost 48hrs and Woodrow is doing great! The whole team was extremely professional, compassionate, and expeditious in treating Woodrow. Thank you!

We have one animal that had an ear infection and after taking her back 4 times in 4 weeks they just kept giving the exact same medication that did nothing to address the issue. Finally took her to another clinic, where they actually swabbed the ear to see what kind of infection they were dealing with, and they issued the appropriate medication. We have another animal getting up in years, took her several times due to arthritis pain and mobility issues. Had to keep asking for meds and what we were given was inappropriate and the wrong dosage for her size. Decided to take her to somewhere that doesn't think that "well, she's old" is a treatment plan. The new vet immediately gave her a shot to help with the issues that can be given monthly resulting in improvement within 24 hours. We moved to Hidden Valley and in both cases, they contacted us within 24 hours to confirm that there had been improvement. Nothing even close to that at Susquehanna. They just don't seem to care. If you don't want your animal to suffer, go somewhere else.

On our seven year old Shih Tsu, "Callie's birthday, the groomer at Crysler Animal Hospital discovered swollen lymph nodes. The clinic there did some blood tests and forwarded a sample to the KU Veterinary School for analysis. KU definitively affirmed lymphoma and suspected a possible cancer present. Dr. Erica Nowlin at Crysler suggested further testing at BluePearl Pet Hospital as they are an oncology hospital and would be able to confirm cancer. We easily booked an appointment and Callie was seen by Dr. Heather Heeb on Thursday 5/28/26. We were impressed with the thoroughness of the examination and testing results. We were offered a plethora of treatment options. But we came away with the realization, Callie will succumb to this disease. On Friday 5/29/26, we made two phone calls to BluePearl, leaving two voice mail messages. Neither were acknowledged nor did we receive a callback. On Monday 6/1/26 7:20 a.m. we called and again left a voicemail at the tone requesting an Rx for prednisone which Dr. Heeb had suggested for comfort. Due to the unresponsiveness we experienced, we called the Crysler Hospital at 7:24 to expedite meds, as it was obvious that Callie was in discomfort. By 8:15, Dr. Jay Schweizer called to alert us that Callie's meds were ready for pick up. Thanks so much to the caring, attentive team at Crysler for great COMMUNICATION. Below is a screenshot of the text message received from BluePearl. I would recommend an improvement in communication from the team at BluePearl regarding aftercare.
