I had to cancel (which I did in plenty of time) because i had found a medi-cal dentist that was near to me (it's a 45 minute drive for me to get to Dr. Farhan). 8 months later i call about a different tooth (my previous dentist stopped taking medi-cal) and they refused to see me. First tried to tell me what i was needed wasn't covered by medi-cal - when i politely pointed out that wasn't the case she 'checked with a supervisor' then called back with the truth - they are refusing because i went to another dentist earlier (again - i gave them plenty of notice, and was very apologetic). the best dentist ever!!!!!!!!!! the entire staff was incredible!!! i chipped my tooth and they fixed it right away! Brendalynn and Anna from from desk for amazing and his dental assistant (I can't remember her name) was sooooooo sweet and just honestly made the experience memorable. Yes, I drove 30 miles THROUGH Los Angeles traffic to see Dr. Farhan. He came so highly recommended by my own dad and I'm a little chicken when it comes to the dentist due to poor experiences in the past. I came here for imaging and requested Dr. Farhan for the procedure. I was told I needed a root canal but one look and Dr Farhan said it looked like I only needed a filling. The process was ABSOLUTELY PAINLESS. I was terrified and the Dr spoke to me throughout, letting me know what to expect. There was one instance where the lidocaine wore off a little and I felt a small pinch but one wince and he gave me more numbing! All throughout asking if I'm okay and if I'm in pain. This place has no respect for HIPPA laws. Your information including your name, phone number and date/time of your appointment is displayed for anyone to see especially when getting X-rays. When this was brought up to the Office Manager's attention, she brought me into the main office area, yelled out to the employees to come to the main floor so she could scold them in front of me and anyone else who was there. I have not gone back. This morning, WHILE GRIEVING AT A FUNERAL, they called me 5 times to remind me that I have a cleaning due. Not only did they keep calling me back, they called my EMERGENCY CONTACT to leave a message that I was due for a cleaning. Never did I think a cleaning was an emergency. This place is unprofessional. My encounters with the doctors have been pleasant but my advice to the doctors is to be very careful who you have working for you. I will never go back to this place. I absolutely love Dr Farhans office! I have had extensive work through his office which includes four root canals, multiple fillings. After all that madness I can contest to his work. First his whole staff is awesome, they are nice and thorough. Especially Tanisha one of his assistants she awesome and on her stuff when it comes to what you need done. George is great too he is a positive force through the office and does awesome X-rays! But mostly is Dr Farhan, he is so gentle when it comes to working on teeth. I went in with horribly infected root canals and he did everything he could for me to feel the least amount of pain. I got all my work while I was pregnant so he made sure to take every precaution with me. I went from not able to eat anything, to eating everything I needed to nourish my baby. I really appreciate how well he did on my teeth, he even removed my cavities in my front teeth which browned my teeth in the corners. I can also attest to his guest dentists who come to do work on days Farhan is not in. They are fast and just as gentle as he is. Overall this dental office did extensive work and did it better than any dentist I have ever been to, I will be staying at this dentist, and my whole family is coming with me. read more

I went there for an 11:00 AM dental appointment, the receptionist had no idea who I was, the appointment was not logged, even though I had spoken to her the day before to confirm this appointment. I filled in my name and sat down, I had to ask the receptionist for the appropriate forms to fill in because it was clear she would not offer me them. After I fill in the forms I hand them in and give her my benefits card and ID. She scans them and tells me that I could not be seen today because I had an additional insurance that the dentist did not accept. I told her that was not correct as I only have my benefits card and have been seen under that card previously. She tries to tell me maybe my parents have me under their insurance (I am 27, so I am ineligible under my parents, plus the insurance she had listed was not my parents insurance). I again explain to her that this is a mistake. This receptionist clearly had no idea what she was doing, so after a couple more minutes of her staring at me in awkward silence I asked for my ID and benefits cards back and left. The staff here is incompetent, these people could not execute basic insurance searches or trouble shooting. Go somewhere else. read more

A few months back my tooth was hurting so much. I asked some friends if they knew of any good dentist and four of them recommended this office. I went and got the x-rays done for $15. Doctor Farhan verified that I needed a root canal, maybe even two. At the time I did not have insurance so I didn't get any work done. A few months later I was at a new job that did provide insurance so I decided to pay him a visit. Well, the new x-rays indicated that I needed two root canals. I set up an appointment and he got to work on them both. He was very fast, efficient, and considerate. Going through two root canals was very unpleasant but Dr. Farhan and his staff tried their best to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. On another appointment for a filling he filled my tooth with the white stuff instead of the silver and charged me the amount that he would for the silver!!! My tooth looks amazing!! There's parking available. The wait time is very minimal. The staff is courteous and professional. Dr. Farhan is experienced, fair, funny, patient, gentle, and HOT! This is a neighborhood dental office. He knows many of his patients by name. He greets everyone! He does not do unnecessary work like other dentist do just to make an extra buck. As a matter of fact, he is more than willing to negotiate prices. I highly recommend this office!! read more

I really I'm sad to say all of this because he is genuinely kind Dentist...Me and my family of 6 have been patients of his for 6 year's or so. Well I've been having issues with a front tooth that was chipped and each time it chip's it gets bigger and bigger, I've brought in the part that fall's off...I could feel the part he glued back on extremely close/touching my other took and rough near my gum line. Well one day I felt something extremely tight and pressure so I have to lose it only thing that would fit...and I feel a snag and my chip came right off, again I bring it in...the said You need a mouth guard, first of all I don't grind my teeth in my sleep my other tooth/ teeth I'm sure would be effected...and If I'm grinding my teeth in my sleep How would I be able to bring in the piece that fall's off, even he said if it fall's off it's okay. I also have a root canal that got filled and was eating popcorn and crumbled off, so also need that tooth pulled can't afford a crown at the moment, and they day I came in for that tooth to get pulled the receptionist informed me that my insurance was changed so she gave me a form to send back to switch back, also gave me a prescription for the pain...so I waited patiently for that to happen my chip fell out while flossing and if I knew this was going to happen would of tried getting my tooth pulled through the other dental plan plus the receptionist that informed me of all this also told me it would take a month to even get the other dental plan's office to get me an appointment. So with all of this being said this other receptionist is office manager that happens to be his (Dentist's) Sister In law and seemed like she had/has a personal vendetta...I felt as if I was just a person off the street!! I have been a patient of Dr. Farhan's since he opened when I was 15 or 16 about 10-12 years ago now. He has been the most patient caring dentist (I've had to go to others between the years for some reason or another, and they never compare to him and his staff!) I've had his staff is just as professional and caring as he is, if you do t have insurance they really do go through every possible option with you to make sure you can maintain the health of your teeth. My 9 year old loves this place as well. They play movies to distract kids and again so very patient!!!! read more

I love this office. It's small and perhaps not in the best spot, but it is truly a gem. Dr. Farhan really gets to know his patients and their needs. I get treated great there and I have no fear whatsoever of visiting the dentist. Every time I've gone there has been a good experience. I want to start by saying I work in the health care field. I do my research before I do any procedure and have second opinions from qualified individuals. I was in between insurances when I went to this dental office. What I find appalling about this establishment is that you get treated like you don't know anything.In the past, I have had amazing dentists that explain each step of the procedure, treatment plan and associated payments. Customer Service and listening to your patients goes hand in hand with being a care provider. No body wants to be surprised by hidden costs or feel undermined. This is a serious issue I have found while being a patient at this office. I had to advocate for myself and try to get my needs met. I do want to say Dr. Farhan is a nice man. The actual procedure went well. But, the last thing I want to do when I am not feeling well is have to jump through hoops when I am simply asking questions that affect my health. I will be moving on.
