I grew up near the Long Beach area. I've been shopping at this store since my high school days which I'll say was more than ten years ago. I because a frequent customer throughout the last few years. Always shopped there for my Vegas attire but also for everyday wear and special occasions. You can find it all there. The employees are very helpful and nice as well. I really truly hate this store. I would give it negative 5 stars if I could. The managers are disinterested and rude EVERY time I've come in, and seem to love using the word "no." I'm done. Today when approaching the dressing room with a few items, including a white bodysuit, I was told that according to their policy, you are not allowed to try on anything in the store that's white. Even if you're not wearing makeup, and even if there's no other color of that item. COOL. Like I'm going to buy this bodysuit with a lace overlay and a plunge neckline without knowing how it fits. I tried on my other items and asked if they could be held for a few hours until I got off work at 5:30. "No, we only hold clothes for an hour." Okay.... well can I purchase them and return them later this evening if I change my mind? "No... they're clearance, so they're nonreturnable." Then I got back to my office, where my coworker showed me a bright white t-shirt from there that she had JUST TRIED ON AND BOUGHT THAT DAY. So I was either lied to, or treated differently than another customer. Not to mention the clothes are cheaper than what you'd find at a wet seal or a Charlotte Russe, but charge around the same prices. Ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh. Never again. read more

I have been support local business and shopping here for years. I purchased an item and come back next day to exchange (the receipt said no refund but can exchange for two weeks). I no longer live in Long beach but come here twice a month. What draws me in are the huge $5 item boxes in the front of the store. Cute stuff. They are mark downs so it's not like I'm coming out with trash. The things I've gotten have been pretty unique. I just came out with a one buttoned blazer for $5. I'm always greeted when I walk in and have had no problem with the customer service. Whenever someone walks in, they're greeted as well and although the music is loud, I like it. Never had a problem with store policy. It's on your receipt and once I try something on and like it, I'm not bringing it back. read more

This is my go to store when im looking for a night out outfit. They always have up to date trends & the prices are very decent. I can complete a whole look for around 50 bucks and i always get good compliments on my outfits. The staff have always greeted me nicely... Now, if youre expecting to be treated with a red carpet and champaign.. girl, go to Beverly hills for that. And if you think their store policies are bad, try shopping at the santee alleys, same type of clothe but you'll be kicked out of the stores if youre being a rude customer! The customer isnt always right. Treat the staff with the same respect you would like to be treated. Some of these reviews i came across wish bad juju on the store staff. I used to really like this store, but I was witness to something this evening that really changed my mind about giving this place my business. I was in the store close to closing time on a chilly night, and I was the only customer in the store except for one other young lady who was walking around the racks at the same time as me. I overheard her go up to an employee and timidly explain that she was homeless and was wondering if they had a spare sweater cause she was cold and she didn't want to shoplift. The sales girl relayed this message to the Asian woman who seemed to be the owner as the girl shyly repeated her dilemma again. My heart broke that this girl was brave enough to be honest, and ask for help and they looked at her like she was an alien. I get that it's an odd request, but in a huge store, full of clothing, there was not ONE item the owner was willing to donate to this poor human being?? An ugly sweater with a hole or missing button??! What would that have cost their bottom line? For my part, I will live with this regret for a long time. As I overheard this, I turned to a rack I was near to check the price of a nearby hoodie so that I could purchase it for the homeless girl, but of course she ran out so quickly after obviously being embarrassed. I got in my car armed with a bag of spare clothes and odds and ends and searched for the girl on the streets for nearly an hour but she was gone. If only the owner could have opened her heart, instead of mock the girl when she left, she would have a good review and some good karma. Maybe something to consider before spending your money here. I bought a pair of pants for a costume that I was trying to put together I decided to go a few doors down to see if there was other options. I ended up coming back to the store to return the pants I had bought 30 minutes prior. The sign on the cash register says no exchanges on dresses, shoes or purses. The woman still did not accept my exchange for the pants. The lady was extremely rude and disrespectful. They have ALL the latest trends in one spot-I was in fashion heaven and wanted EVERYTHING! I used to be faithful to a popular online fashion store of similar style-but Fashion Island has my heart! Look, this ain't Nordstrom. I never walk in here expecting stellar customer service. Nonetheless, I still get pretty gosh darn good service. In fact, I've witnessed more attitude from other shoppers than I have from the employees here. Yes, customers must act accordingly as well. There is a HUGE selection of clothing, and yes, it is crammed onto the racks, but no more so than Forever 21. Yes, it is "ghet-toe", but it is after all located in Downtown Long Beach. It's close to home, it's cheap as all heck, there's something for everyone there, and they took care of two separate exchanges I needed to make with nooooo problems. The owner here is extremely disrespectful. She had her employee walk around the store harassing me. Following me through out the store with my small cross body purse on me. Am a very thin petite woman. The owner of this store is very racist. Am a Registered Nurse who makes plenty of money and can pay for anything. I've been coming here for years and usually shop here without any problems. The lady who was following me was new. The other ladies who are normally there let me shop in peace. I almost had to call the police for discrimination and harassment. I paid for my items with class and left. This is the best fashion clothing store to find the latest trends. I come here for the majority of my club wear. The girls who work there are also really friendly and helpful. They always help me find what I'm looking. I've gotten some really sexy apparel from this place that I can't find in other stores. I also tend to find a lot of apparel that i see on the fashion nova website at this place. Went in here a few weeks back (NOT my first time here by a long shot) hoping that maybe after some time some things had changed and that maybe things had improved. NOPE. The girls on staff were rude, neglectful or otherwise had their attitude on. The girl 'attending' the dressing room disappeared for patches of time or was more occupied talking with her friend who was there trying on stuff for a party that the girl (employee) was trying to get an invite to, talking about how much she loves race cars. She wasn't around both times I finished trying on stuff. Other girl that I asked for assistance while looking through the racks did a really good job of being off-putting. When I finally got to the register I pretty much accepted that the customer service was still abysmal and I hope eventually they'll switch managers again and maybe that might do some good. To top it all off, one of my items ended up completely coming undone up the side a week later. It might seem cheap at first, but trust me, guys, quality costs, do yourself a favor, go somewhere else. read more
