Yesterday, Aziz from Fast & Easy Appliance Repair, came to repair our clothes dryer (LG). This is the second time he has made a repair for us, the other was a Bosch dishwasher a year or so ago. Each time the work lived up to the name of the company. It was easy to make an appointment, Aziz arrived on time, analyzed the problem quickly and did an excellent job. It was not a simple repair, but involved taking apart the dryer. He and his assistant completed the work efficiently, left the pantry in good order and were polite and respectful. The cost was very reasonable given the extent of the repair. When another appliance needs attention I will definitely call on Fast & Easy again. read more

This company tried to scam me. They charged me $99 to give an inflated price estimate. I contacted them to take a look at my stove and they came out right away, and charged me a $99 fee for an estimate. All good! Until... the estimate was $350 for a part + $200 for the labor. I asked how the replacement part could cost so much (it was the oven control board) as I started to search around and NO WHERE could I find that part costing that much. OEM the part cost $145. I told them I would happily order the OEM part myself and they could install it for $200 and they responded no "we only work with parts we purchase." This is a total scam! They tried to charge me more than the purchase price of the stove to repair it. read more

We have a 17 year old Maytag washer that was leaking water from the front gasket. Making an appointment was easy, they texted me promptly and asked pertinent questions (model number,etc). They sent out a technician to determine if any other repairs were needed and the charge for that visit was deducted from the final cost. Waited 2 days for the part to come in, new appointment made, the tech/owner came early and installed the new gasket with no problems. The cost was very reasonable in my opinion. Hired Easy Appliance Repair to get a refrigerator fixed at my rental house. Called them and Lisa was very helpful and polite, she sent me a technician Aziz, who showed up on time wearing gloves and shoe covers. The tech did a diagnostic and found out the compressor went off. He explained me why it had happened, how much it would cost to fix and if it's worth to fix or I should get a new refrigerator. I decided to go ahead with repair, because it was much cheaper than buying a new one. Aziz ordered the part and came back in a few days to install it. He was working very accurately, covered all surrounding areas to make sure it's safe, because replacing the compressor requires a welding and working with gases(refrigerants). I was freaking out because our tenant reported the fridge was broken (stopped making things cold). They came out that very day, and diagnosed the problem. They told me what part was broken, and said they'd order the part and get it in and fixed in 3-5 days. This is a shady place. Two guys arrived (half hour late) in a car without any identifying information. They were not wearing anything that identified them from this company. After a brief diagnostic of the dryer, the lead person determined that the thermostat was broken and quoted $225. The cost of the new part, he said, was about $30, their labor was $250/hour, it would take them about an hour and they were giving me a discount. This seemed exorbitant to me so I said no thank you. He then backtracked or changed the diagnosis, said there was probably something else wrong that might have caused the thermostat to overheat/break. Shifty man tried to put me at ease by saying he does not get this money, it's the company. When I tried to pay the $85 service fee via Venmo, the name of the company was not on the scan. It was a private individual named Alex and a long, Slavic last name. How do I know this is going to the company? I asked. Oh, you'll get confirmation after the fact. This did not sound legit. No problem, he said. I'll take a scan of your credit card. But he still provided no bill or anything identifying the company. I'll get that after I pay, he said. Right. He did produce a business card that did not have his name on it. We agreed the company would send me an invoice via email. After I took a photo of his license plate and they left, I phoned the company to cross check the info. On my first attempt, I got a generic voicemail that the mailbox was not set up. I called again and spoke with a woman who contradicted the basis for the $250, that is was a job average. About them not having a business car, insignia on clothing, bill, or business card identifying them, she said she would convey that to the owner. Uh huh. Stay away. read more

I reached out to Easy Appliance Repair to repair a bent bracket on my ovens door. The part had to be order so I had to wait a couple of days for the repair. Fridge started making loud noises and stopped working the next day (Friday morning). Quick response from Lisa saying that someone could be there later that day to triage the problem, and that the visit fee would be waived if I chose them to conduct the repair. Got an automated text message when Aziz was enroute, which was handy to make sure we were ready for his arrival. Aziz wore a mask and maintained social distancing during his visit. Diagnosis was a broken compressor. Lisa walked me through my options (warranty vs. non-warranty repair), including likely time frame for repair if I chose the warranty route. I phoned LG and local authorized repair centers, and Lisa's description of the warranty repair process through the manufacturer was correct (parts covered, but would have to pay labor out of pocket, and would take a few days). They were able to complete a non-warranty repair the next day (Saturday). Price quoted included genuine replacement compressor, refrigerant, labor, and minor supplies. Our range hood stopped working at best and made screeching sounds at worst. We were able to get on the schedule for Monday (I requested on Sunday). Of all the businesses I contacted on Yelp, this is the only one that did range hood repairs. The techs came out and diagnosed as a broken fan. They ordered the parts and accepted payment via Venmo. About 10 days later they came, installed the new fan assembly, fixed a leak in the exhaust system and were on their way. Only caveat is they did seem a bit pricey but then again it doesn't seem like anyone else serviced this appliance so perhaps it's just market economics. No stars docked as a result. read more
