Cheap, good food, and great vibes! My husband and I finished date night with food and drinks at Fast Eddies. This place is normally packed on the weekends especially when the weather is nice. I'm guess because it was later in the evening when we went they weren't as crowded. There's always live music playing, someone celebrating their 21st birthday and good vibes. Staff was friendly, welcoming and made sure we were doing good the entire time we were there. Ordering food is all self service at the food station. You place your order then wait for your number to be called. They sell burgers, chicken on a stick, steak on a stick, chicken sandwiches, shrimp, and fries. Your food is up pretty quick. We ordered burgers, fries, chick on a stick, big Elwood and shrimp. We also ordered two long islands and a beer. All in all we spent about $60. The food was delicious, seasoned well and plentiful. A classic! We came here on New Year's Day and it was such a fun way to ring in the new year. We posted up on the patio with some friends (it was covered and not cold) and had some drinks. It was busy (it always is) but still a fun day time vibe. Everything is pretty affordable which is great with how expensive the world seems at the moment. Came here on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. Food line was wrapped around the counter so we decided to not get anything to eat. Service was alright, drinks were good and reasonably priced. Even though it was crowded we found places to sit inside pretty easily, but outside is a lot more crowded. Heading back to STL from Grafton, my friend and I decided to make a detour to Fast Eddies. We had a blast! The food is tasty and cheap. It's a well oiled machine, and even as 2 total newbies, we got it figured out. Typical dive atmosphere, we enjoyed the music, people watching, and the cardinals game on the TVs. Organized chaos is all the fun ways possible. There are four parking lots surrounding the restaurant and bar venue so find your place to be. This is a stand in line, place your order, get your number and wait to be called to come back and get your food. In the meantime find your place to be, order and drink and pay. My parents were in town visiting and I thought it would be such a fun day trip to visit fast eddies! It was nice to visit during a weekday so that it was not too crowded. We arrived and found a table to sit at and then our server, Amanda, came over to take our drink orders. Of course, we all ordered a cold beer! My mom and I went up to the counter to place our food order and ordered a bunch of food for the table and then stopped to grab some popcorn on our way back to the table. I love that this place is a 21+ place. What I don't like is that it's cash only. They do have an ATM inside. I came here for a group event and felt immense pressure to buy more drinks than I wanted to. The waitress kept coming around asking if I wanted to buy another drink. I didn't really like that especially since at the time I was scaling back on my alcohol and food intake and really just wanted to enjoy the environment. The venue also has live music. We were in town for a family event. Our grandfather had worked at the glass plant back in the day and stories were that everyone went to Fast Eddies to "cash"their check. For a Sunday afternoon it was packed indoors and in the outside area and the parking lot was packed with cool cars, Jeeps, motorcycles and trucks. The food looked great and was coming off the line w no interruptions. We just had a couple of beers and watched the action. What an awesome fun place.
