This was the best experience I have ever had walking into an eatery that I'd never even heard of before today. I did a Yelp "Surprise Me" Search and this eatery popped up and being a fan of Middle Eastern food I decided to explore. Upon entry I was immediately greeted by the owner Raed and welcomed in. He asked if I was eating in, or ordering take out and I said the latter. I mentioned that I'd never visited there before so he proceeded to explain the menu, pointing out featured menus and offering suggestions. He was so friendly and descriptive with all of the dishes and helped me choose. He then placed the order himself and before collecting payment happened to ask if I was military (my accent may have tipped him off, and I told him my husband served) so I even got a discount. After that he suggested taking a seat at any of the booths or at the bar to wait and gave me a timeline which was 8-10 minutes as it was all freshly prepared according to options chosen. Before I had a chance to decide where to sit he gave me a sample cup of one of dishes. I sat down at a booth and tasted it (devoured it) and it blew my mind, it was spicy and delicious. I asked him what it was and he replied it was their Lentil Soup. It was amazing and thankfully it was also one of the suggestions he'd given me a few minutes earlier and consequently ordered a side dish of. My main order was for one of the Hearty Sandwiches called Big Beef Eddy (Shawarma seasoned grilled steak wrapped in a pita with lettuce, tomato, pickle (I skipped that) and onion and a choice of sauces from Tzatziki, Tahini, Garlic or Amba (I had the Tzatziki and Garlic sauce. The sandwiches come with a side dish with a choice of French fries, onion rings, roasted vegetables, mac n' cheese, steamed broccoli or Timan (which is a white rice). I chose the roasted vegetables. Once the order was ready my name was called and Raed encouraged me to return another time, promising me a taste of his fresh baked baklava. I assured him that I would definitely come back and bring my husband so that he can enjoy this experience. I want to say that this establishment was impeccably clean and the staff friendly obviously, including Raed. I drove home and was so excited to dig in, let's just say that there were some eye rolls and probably some humming (something I do when I really enjoy well seasoned and flavorful food)! The choices I made did not disappoint. If you are in the market for Mediterranean food, please check this place out. If you are in the mood for something a little different and provides fantastic flavor and epic service, pick this place! Raed, you were wonderful and meeting you was a pleasure! What a find! We were looking for a new place to try after we left the Town Center. After reading some reviews, we knew this was going to be a great place to try. We were greeted and seated quickly. We loved all of the music posters on display since we are big music fans. We started to peruse the menu and luckily one of the owners came by. He enthusiastically explained the menu and made some suggestions. We ordered a Beef Eddy and Chicken Curry. The flavors were spot on! We started with Fattoush salad. The dressing was so tasty. The curry had a great depth of flavor with just the right amount of heat. The Beef Eddy was on a delicious pita and the sandwich was perfectly sauced. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was also exceptional. We were treated like family! We can't wait to go back and try more dishes. I've been coming here since they opened a couple years ago, found them when I went to grab a Jersey Mikes sub and found the location was now a Fast Eddy's!!! Best change up ever!!! Love the food at this place and the people are great, the chicken curry is amazing and I really like the Eddy Sandwiches too. They rarely mess up an order but are super quick to make the situation right if they do, going well beyond just fixing the issues. When we stopped in for dinner on an early Friday evening, the place was very busy., and for good reason. As others have said, the place is spotlessly clean, the owners treat you like family, and the food is amazingly spiced and flavorful without being overpowering. My husband had the Fast Eddy sandwich, I had the Magic Carpet ride with lentils, roast chicken and curry chicken. For an appetizer we had the booreg beef rolls which had a really fragrant mix of spices and were served piping hot. Everything was delicious but the curry was the star of the show. Comfort food with a delicious flavor profile- spicy without being hot. The rice that comes with the flight of stews is just lovely. I wish I had taken a photo of the mains but we just dove in! Raed, one of the owners made sure to greet us, learn our names and make recommendations. We both felt very welcomed and comfortable. Fast Eddy's is going places, people. So glad I tried Fast Eddy's Quick Mideast tonight! I had the Magic Carpet Ride (choice of 3 of their family recipe stews) with an upgrade to the specialty yellow rice. Everything was very flavorful and absolutely delicious. Teenage daughter loved the Chicken Eddy, and was nice enough to share fries with Dad! As many others have said, Raed (one of the brothers who owns and runs the place) is super friendly, assures that all the food is hot and to your liking, and wants everyone to feel like family. Listen. This place is AMAZING! We've been here a half dozen times and it seems every dish was even better than the last. This time we had the beef tikka and let me tell you, the meat was tender and expertly seasoned. I always upgrade my rice and this time I opted for the Timen Asfur which is a yellow rice with chicken in it. I could literally eat the rice and vegetables for a meal but the juices from the beef took it to another level. If you'd rather have a stew, the Chicken Roast is a winner. The burgers look fantastic too. Next time we come, I think we will order the ribeye because one of the owners has a 13 year history working at Ruth's Chris. We found this place on Yelp shortly after moving to Jax. Hubby and I had never had middle eastern food so we decided to give them a shot. I called to place our order for pick up. The guy who took the order was super friendly and helpful. They were also very attentive when I got to the restaurant. We went with 2 entrees so we could share. Here's what we ordered: Steak Derby Fillies with a small Cucumber Salad - One of the best "fillies" I've had! The steak pieces were chunky and meaty. Very different from the typical shaved/slices beef used in this type of sandwich. The sauce Babylonian sauce was fantastic and really tied everything together. The cucumber salad was light and refreshing. A nice balanced side item. Fahsulia with a small Tabouli - Now this was an interesting dish. Unlike anything I've had before, the closet comparison would be beef stew. The beef and green beans were both so tender and the broth they were in was delish. The tabouli was different and a bit of an acquired taste but it worked with the fahsulia. Overall, a great dinner from Fast Eddy's! read more

Even though we got our food to go so that we could sit outside (our dog was with us), they checked on us multiple times. Wish we lived closer but next time we're in the Jacksonville area we will definitely be back (though in a perfect world they'd be everywhere because I would at here all the time if there was one close by). I had the beef tikka which is I believe filet mignon/beef tenderloin that has been marinated. I started with the Fatoosh salad and it was as fresh as any salad you could hope for! The beef which I had the small portion (which was plenty) was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I actually cut into small pieces so I could savor every bite. It came on white rice with grilled vegetables. China was my waitress and could not have been more attentive or kind. The owner stopped by several times to make sure everything was good. It wasn't just good it was amazing. It also came with pita bread and taziki sauce. The pita was fresh and good enough to eat plain. I took home a piece of homemade baklava, that did not make it all the way home. It came with a honey sauce that I didn't use because it was perfect without it plus hard to use while driving. Lol I had been to Eddies once before and had the okra beef stew. It was the first time I had ever found that stew outside of home kitchens in the east. Delicious stew. I need to go a few nights a week to try every dish. Great meatless choices are also available. My total bill tonight was only $25 for the beef tikka and dessert. I could have paid twice that and not had near as good of a meal in many restaurants around town. It was incredibly reasonable for such a 5 star meal. Jimmy took care of us and made some great recommendations. We started out with the Booreg beef. The beef was very well seasoned. We got it with the Ámba sauce. I got the Beef Tikka. OMG it was so good. It came with rice, grilled veggies, pita and a salad. I got the small portion and could only eat half. The rest will be perfect for lunch tomorrow. I got the Taziki sauce with it. Found this gem on a whim looking for something new! William greeted us with such a personable touch; asking our names and if this was our first visit. We started with the sampler and it did not disappoint. The veggies were crisp and fresh; the pickled cabbage was very tasty and the hummus authentic. We also ordered the Sheikh Mashi, this dish was a burst of flavor and paired well with the Biryani rice. Lastly was the Beef Tikka; the steak was moist and cooked perfectly. The veggies had a great chargrill to them and this paired well the Timen Asfur specialty rice. William made thoughtful suggestions and did not mislead us! The the wall posters, music and an occasional sing along from the staff; all and all the vibe is a hit and the food is delish! The brother duo has something really good happening here.
