This was my first visit & I was charmed. You are greeted by the delicious smell of baked goods as you enter. I was also enthusiastically greeted by the staff who offered me a sample of pumpkin bread which was very tasty. I snapped some pix of what was currently available in the case before deciding to take home a Spinach Feta Roll & a Pepperoni Roll. I enjoyed both and look forward to trying more of their items.

This is an excellent bakery! Also greeted with a warm welcome and smile! All of the breads are fresh and delicious. The challah bread has been praised as one of the best by very experienced and selective Jewish friends!! The breakfast and lunch specials are always delicious , fresh and mostly healthy! They also make homemade healthy dog treats! Comfortable indoor and outdoor seating this is a great place to stop for a bite away from the Town Centerq crowds!

Everything bagel, two eggs, turkey sandwich

Bagels are hard to come by but they are offered on Fridays! The workers are very sweet.

4.5 Grabbed after coffee and the gym and was super impressed. Greeted promptly, super nice and gave us samples (cut into fresh) challah bread warm with butter. Told us a bit about their store, all fresh made and honey used to sweeten instead of sugar. Left with a combination of items for my friends and I. I had the artichoke muffin/quiche (no bread). So wonderful- flavor, large pieces of artichoke as shown, yummy. The blueberry cream cheese loaf was also delicious- still light, but moist, kids loved, and honey was the perfect sweetener. Will be back to try more and purchase other breads. Offer pastries, sandwiches, cream cheese flavors, and coffee.

Breakfast sandwich with garlic cheese bread, ham and cheese

Anytime I see your bread on a logo or name I automatically say, yep let's go I love fresh bread. As soon as I walk through the door you just see all the bakery treats and all the fresh bread that's right behind it. Originally I was only going to get a breakfast sandwich but once the cashier lady let me try the fresh bread and the homemade butter I was sold. I ended up getting the breakfast sandwich what she recommended to do garlic cheese bread. I ordered the sandwich with egg, cheese and ham. I also got Challah bread, which she was giving a sample of, and cinnamon honey butter. She told me the bread and butter is made daily which I love that, its so delicious and with every bite that you take of both together you definitely taste it. They also have soups you can make at home on the shelf.

Small shop that smells amazing when you walk in. Staff was really friendly and the samples sold us! We got the Christmas bread, jalapeño cheddar and Dakota. All of them are so moist! Is this bread cheap? No. Is it worth it? Yes! Will return to try new things for sure.

Finally got to visit this joint as I have always wondered what it was inside and always thought they just sell wholesale wheat bread lol Great atmosphere here and was immediately greeted by the staff, service was quick and easy, as I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich for $7.50 and comes with Bacon, Cheddar cheese, fresh baked Patty, herb spread and was cut in half - it was very delicious! Got the Capuccino Latte with Hazelnut for less than $6 and it was really good, the frothiness and the flavor was right on point to get me going this morning. I will definitely be back to try the other sandwiches that they have here at GHBC, they also got pastries too :)

This cozy bakery is filled with sweet and salty treats. From savory scones to oozy cinnamon rolls, it does not disappoint. They have hearty sandwiches as well. I like their blueberry muffins and find their cinnamon rolls pretty hard to resist at their booth at the Riverside Arts Market. Their biggest drawbacks are having ok coffee and zero bagels. They sell very cute loaves of bread shaped like Easter Bunnies. Very fun bakery!

Cheese and spinach yummy goodness, can't remember the name

These are delicious! Cheesey, savory goodness! I had one but could've had one and a half great service too!

I have never been to the establishment, but they are a vendor at the Riverside Arts Market every Saturday in downtown Riverside under the I-10/95 overpass next to the St Johns River. They have a large assortment of bread and pastries. I have tried all of the pastries, they were all tasty. Recently though, I tried a loaf of High Fiber with Fruit. The bread is loaded with grains, fresh milled flour, and a variety of seeds and fruit. I'm on my 3rd loaf, it's packed with fiber, and it's moist because of the fruit. I prefer it toasted plain, but butter certainly makes it delicious! I also love their Sourdough loaves!

The next morning, we had the sausage and scallion bun at home. I liked it, maybe more than the pork bun, and would get it again, though it had the advantage of being reheated at home in the microwave. My wife liked the dough, the hot dog less so (and I must admit the hot dog in the croissant we had a while ago at Cruffin & Tea was better). I'd get this again, though probably trying the regular hot dog bun instead of the scallion one next time. I'd asked the server if she could reheat our items when I bought them, but she said no, and didn't seem to understand English well. So far, I've preferred the savory things to the sweets here. Each item was $3-3.25, so a better value than the other bakeries I go to. I will return to this place periodically, but I still prefer places like Cruffin & Tea and Le Petit Paris, so I'm giving Mai Xiang Garden Bakery an average rating, 3 stars: pretty good, but not above average for a bakery, other than the good value.

From the moment we laid eyes on the pastry case, our jaws were on the floor. Everything we had was amazing -- the breakfast sandwich on sourdough, ham & cheese croissant, matcha cheesecake blueberry croissant tart, and the brie country ham & hot honey galette. JUST WOW! We also got some lattes to fuel our morning and I opted for their special brown butter sesame latte -- yum! The bakery itself is very cute with some market and pantry items available to shop as well. The staff was very patient as we asked a million questions about all the pastries before making our selections. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the downtown Jax area!

A cute little spot with a lot of specialized baked goods that will make you want to get one of everything. The service was super friendly and helpful. To share, we got the matcha cheesecake blueberries danish, the brie country ham and hot honey galette, and a ham and cheese croissant. Everything was delicious and devoured! The inside is also super cute to peruse around and maybe grab something. They have stickers, and a few odds and ends that might interest anyone to get at least one thing. Such a cute bakehouse in Jax!

I was welcomed into the store as soon as I entered. The young man asked if it was my first time at the bakery. Then he took his time to give me a tour of the sweet and savory bakery items that they have on display and taught me how to select items by choosing a basket and a set of tongs for my choices. I purchased a banana muffin, which was almost as big as my fist and still could only eat half of it in a sitting. I also ordered the turkey sandwich on a ciabatta roll, which was just the perfect combination of meat, greens, avocado, and cheese in a beautifully baked roll. Have you ever had a sandwich whose flavors build with every bite? This is truly a unique bakery in Jacksonville, and we should do all that we can to support it. Tell your friends!
