We…read morewere told by one of their associates that a tow truck would be able to help us in a time span of 60-90 minutes, which we were more than happy to wait since we were relatively close to home when this happened. 2 hours go by and we heard nothing from them. Another hour and several unanswered calls later, still nothing. We reached out to our insurance again and asked if they could possibly get in contact with the towing company from their end, and they said we should be receiving a call momentarily. Still no call. At this point it's around 11pm and we have to look for another arrangement because clearly these people weren't communicating. If I could give zero stars I would because a towing company that doesn't tow is slightly ironic.

Was the engine of this antiquated vehicle going to fall out next? I'll abridge the story: the owner of the towing service said he was close by and could come by personally to check things out. He did and fixed the clip holding the cover in place, obviating the need for a tow truck and the large expense. This was a kindness above and beyond the call of duty. They were prompt, they were understanding, and Bruce was amazing at helping us deal with our situation. He reassured us that this kind of thing happens to a lot of people. It was great to see someone who was so kind when they knew we needed help and could've exploited us but didn't. When we showed up at the scheduled time, we were left waiting outside for an entire hour. No updates. No one came out to talk to us. Then, without warning, they closed the gate on us. They clearly have no system in place. There's no organization, no communication between staff, and no structure for helping customers. One person says one thing, another says something completely different. It feels chaotic and completely unprofessional. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. My catalytic converter was stolen 2 years ago and this place had a big sign out front saying they…read moredo repairs (still do). We paid 850 for the repair. After a few months, the exhaust started to smell like gas and the check engine light came on. We put it off since the car is quite old. Now, 2 years later, we're due for DEQ and can't pass. I call SW Autobody to see if there is some kind of warranty. They say, no, after market cats don't have a warranty and they don't fix those anymore (massive sign out front says differently). A 30 second googl search tells me it's a federal law that cats must last 5yrs/50k miles for environmental purposes. The shop stops answering my calls and doesn't return my voice ails so I go in person. The lady tells me she's been doing this for 30 years and there is no warranty. I insist she give me her distributor's info. I call the distributor, find out there is a warranty but that they have never sold this part to this shop. Yikes. I get the repair done at another shop and they discover the cat is welded on... Likely salvaged / stolen off another vehicle. So I take the old one to sw auto body to get an explanation. Where did it come from? The lady said her distributor is the only place she gets parts from so she doesn't know what happened. Scratching her head like "who the heck put this in your car?! Man, that's so weird!" The whole song and dance... Chances are this is the cat that got stolen off my car in the first place lol. I told her I want this old car warrantied and to call me when she has it so I can sell it and make some money back. That would obviously be hard for her to do so she comes chasing me out into the parking lot with a random catalytic converter and asks me to take this one instead. Sure, whatever. I feel bad writing this review but I was cheated on the repair and disrespected throughout the process. Im a super easy going guy and this place walked allllllllll over me.
