I am a retired auto tech. I dropped my car off for an alignment. They called me a while later…read moretelling me there were bad parts and they would have to replace them before doing the alignment. They also told me I needed 4 new tires before they could do the alignment. Having checked everything before taking the car to them, I knew it didn't need any of the parts they claimed. I asked them to show me the bad parts. When I got there, the man doing the work tried to show me the bad parts using an incorrect method which made it look like the parts were bad when they were not. I took the car home, and subsequently made an appointment at the Alinement Shop, who checked the car out, found no bad parts, and aligned the car for me with no problems.

I was disappointed with the service I didn't receive for my vehicle…read more I asked for new wipers which wasn't done. Also, they told me that the service overdue indicator would reset but didn't. Two minor issues, yes, but I have had been in the hospital, was still recovering, so it was a lot for me. When I called to make the appointment for service, I advised the service department that I had a warranty covering the two damaged tires. It wasn't noted, unbeknownst to me, so when they were updating me on the length of time before completion, and cost, I realized they were charging me for the tires. I told them about the warranty and was told I should have said something about when I dropped it off. They put the blame on me, which I will take part of it, but they should be talking to service for not making note of it. I just won't be back for service.

Even if you have a service contract to get a loaner vehicle while they're working on your car…read morethat's under warranty don't ever set your appointment for 7:00 a.m. their loaner place does not open until 8:00. So if you're a person trying to live a life you have to set for an hour until they get a loner or they offered to drop me off at home where I would have no car at all. I have issues with my age and health I cannot be without a vehicle but Clayton doesn't care about that it's about getting your car in getting it worked on getting it out and saving their money time and trouble.
