Needed work done on my van, went and was quoted the job would take 4 days for $$$. He told me he…read morecould take my van in 2 weeks. I dropped my car off the Sunday before and didn't hear from Rob by that following Friday so I called him. No answer so I left a message to see when my car would be done since it was past 4 days. Waited over the weekend and called back Monday no answer or call back. Called Tuesday no answer or call back. Spoke with Rob on Wednesday finally and he said he was out a day and it will be ready Thursday night he will call. No call Thursday night so I called Friday to see. No answer or call back so I decided to stop by the shop around 6. I caught him off guard and my van was in the shop. He said it will be done Saturday between 6-7 and he will call me. No call Saturday. I called Monday and he answered and said he was waiting for a base that he ran out of so it will be ready Wednesday by 7. He called me at 7:40 Wednesday evening but I was not able to answer due to a meeting. I called Thursday and he said it was ready to pick up. I went at 12:45 to pick up on my lunch break and it was not finished. He was still washing it after making me wait 10 min at the door. The big repair is fixed but the work is sloppy and not all scratches are buffed and painted. He said he is sometimes a one man show, I said I understand but you need to communicate . I am unhappy with the work that was done for the time he had my van. The time he had between the quote and my van going into the shop he should have checked supplies so he could have kept the 4 day time line not 18 days!!! I would not recommend him to anyone!! He is also cash only!

Loved the work they did and priced very reasonably. Their estimate was 3 times lower than the…read moreplace we went to first.

This is the second vehicle that we have taken to Northfield Collision Services Inc. and they have…read moreexceeded our expectations. What seemed to be a minor 5mph collision turned out to be more extensive once they assessed the damage and reported it to insurance. A front wheel and bumper were hit and they did all of repairs, replacement of parts, paint, calibrated all of the sensors, had a 4 wheel alignment done, had an engine harness replaced and did an interior detail to return our car back to the way it came out of the showroom. All was communicated to our insurance and all was covered. Our insurance said we could drive the car but Northfield Collision and we didn't think this was safe so they adjusted their schedule to take the car in one week earlier so insurance would pay for a rental during repair and we didn't have to take out a rental on our own. Above and beyond what you would expect. Great communications letting us know the status and you can tell they really care about their work and customer satisfaction. While we never hope to have to use them again, we would go nowhere else.

My son's vehicle was hit by a Progressive insured. Prior to the hit on his right door, the door…read morepanel was tucked in and secured. After the hit, it popped out and a chunk of wood is showing where the window goes down. Obviously, when the other vehicle hit his door, the impact popped the interior door panel. When I chose Northfield Collision, I did it because I wanted to support a local business, keep money in the community. Again, trying to support a local business, I did not go with a "Progressive Recommended" collision company. When I went to pick up the car, they handed me the Progressive Insurance check and asked me to sign it, which I did. I then went to the car, opened the door. I went back in and told them a chunk of wood was showing where the window rolls up, and needed repaired. One guy gets another guy and they are all telling me it's a factory defect. I told them I didn't care if it was a factory defect. The car panel was fixed once before, you can tell in the picture where it had been repaired before, so I knew that the accident popped it out. Unfortunately for me, they already had their signed check and told me to deal with it, goodbye. When I contacted Progressive, they stated since I did not use a "Progressive Recommended" vendor, there was nothing they could do. Progressive looked at it and agreed that it should have been repaired. Now, we are driving it with a chunk of wood sticking out, and each time I look at it, I'm angry that I trusted this company. If I had used a recommended vendor, Progressive stated it would have been repaired. Due your due diligence! If you still want to use this company, do NOT sign the insurance check until you walk around your vehicle and inspect it. I learned a valuable lesson, and will never go thru a collision specialist unless it is recommended and guaranteed by the insurance company.
