Hit by toxic mold, we became allergic to everything, including our own house. The house is being rebuilt, but in the meantime we've had to look for a hypoallergenic place to do our laundry (which is no easy task). So many places fail because they're dirty, smell, and/or have mold issues in the ceiling or in the machines themselves (usually on the door between the rubber seal and the glass). But this place caught our eye (or eyes? You tell me). It's a brand-new facility, constantly cleaned by friendly staff. Their shiny new machines work without fail - no mildew or gunk inside! And the place must be well-ventilated because it doesn't reek of laundry perfume or bleach like so many places do. The only problem we've ever had was when we were trying to rinse out a little too much soap that got into the wash. We were shut out at 11pm and couldn't start an extra wash...because we didn't pay attention to what it says on the door as you walk in. It would be no big deal for most people; but for us with our severe allergies, it meant that we had to repeat our extra "ceremonial empty load" first to prewash the machine before we could do our rewash the next time around. It was our fault and our loss...until we ran into the owner who had heard of his "famous" allergic customers and their trouble. He insisted on making it right and reimbursed us for the extra cost/inconvenience. Totally unexpected! Thank you, Terry. We like your place even without that. We've been coming to Fast Laundry for 3+ months now...during which time we've moved to Chicago into an apartment with our own stackable. But we still make the drive out every so often just to get our satisfying laundry done here! ...by the way, they do have a great selection of snacks and drinks in the vending machines, none of which we can have because of our food allergies. But if they were to stock up on KIND bars, specifically ONLY the Almond & Coconut flavor, then that would change. Thank you again, Terry! read more

After soul-searching for a weeknight getaway from the usual overcrowded and dingy laundromat, Fast Laundry is where I wound up. This spot continues to be my laundromat of choice. The space is very clean and inviting, there are plenty of machines of varying sizes (including what's dubbed "The Beast," a machine that can hold like 200 pounds-worth of clothing or something to that effect.) The dryers were highly impressive as well, drying tons of clothes and thick bedding in a mere 20 minutes. The staff is just as great, being more than accommodating to patrons and their needs, as well as their attentiveness to the facility. Special shoutout to Aaron- I came in with what little free time I had left in the night shortly (and I mean shortly) before "last wash" and he had absolutely no issue with me being the last one in there and made small talk with me. It's such a little thing but he seemed completely unbothered by my being there late. He was nice enough to help me load my baskets into my car as well as take my cart back inside for. This place also has a great selection in their vending machines as well as over-the-counter laundry essentials. Did I mention they're open until midnight?? 10/10 will come back. This is truly my favorite laundromat in the area! There are a variety of sizes of washers and huge dryers - all reasonably priced. There is always an attendant on duty and they carry a wide variety of laundry products in case you forget or run out of something. I normally come later in the evening, usually after 8 p.m., which is when Aaron is on duty. What a great guy he is! While keeping the laundromat very clean, he also makes time to help out anyone who needs it. He's got a great personality & relates well with everyone. He's always aware of the surroundings and what's going on. With my schedule, quite often I'm there until almost closing time which is midnight. Aaron goes above and beyond whether it's holding the door, lifting a heavy basket into your car or just making sure you get safely to your vehicle. Personally, no matter what I'm doing or where I am, feeling safe & secure is very important to me! read more

I personally really like this place. It was spotless, the machines were faster and bigger, and the atmosphere is very comfortable. They have detergent for sale, vending machines for both drinks and snacks, a kid's area, and seating scattered throughout the place. They not only have plenty of machines, they're also all different sizes. Ranging as small as those little white kenmore models all the way up to those prison industrial ones lol (I believe the dryers are all the same size and dry in 23 cent/10min increments.) My favorite part has to be the method of payment. I don't carry cash, much less change, so it's nice to have a card reader to deposit money onto the laundry card! read more

We live in apartments locally, and choose to use Fast Laundry over the washer/dryers in our building. It's always clean and well lit. There is an attendant on duty, all have been friendly so far. They have a laundry needs shop that is incredibly fair priced, both full and single use size. They have a vending area and kids play area. Free WiFi, big and fast machines, I mean the dryers are huge. Parking is plentiful, there's an automatic door so need to fuss with opening a door with full hands. Picnic tables inside and out. Yes it's busy in peak hours, but it's really fast so there is never a problem getting a machine. read more

I received a mailer and stopped by to check it out. I was amazed at how freshly new everything was. Brand new machines, promo for the week to double our money, very knowledgeable and friendly staff! This facility is super clean. I noticed the cost of the machines were cheaper than other facilities I've used. The staff told me their machines use ozone technology with cold water to open your fabric and release any odors! I'm excited to give it a try! This facility was also very easy to find and had tons of parking! It's also open till midnight, what a plus!! I highly recommend this facility! read more

I rarely use the laundromat these days, but I was tired of taking my larger blankets to the cleaners to be washed. I decided to search for the closest laundry and found Fast Laundry on Hicks ... what a great experience!! The facility is clean and machines are all in service and easy to use. The best part of the experience was the person in charge! I wish I would have asked her name ... she was kind, patient, professional, and genuinely happy to help anyone. A nice, clean, fairly priced laundromat. The staff were very friendly and the promo going on until Dec 31st to double your money is a huge plus! They are open till midnight, last load in by 11pm which is later than the old laundromat we used. There is a convenient drop off service available for the busy working person. The facility has lots of parking and is very close for our convenience. Another plus items for sale appear to be fairly priced and the vending machines are nicely priced as well. read more

This is actually the first time I've been to a laundromat, I have been lucky to never need to use one. But I had to wash a large quilt, so I came here. The attendant was helpful, the area was clean and the machines looked very new and were efficient. The only complaint I can think of is that the cards you use with the machines seem finicky- I kept getting an error message but after a few tries it worked. Otherwise, no complaints! read more

My washing machine broke. I have some last-minute laundry to do before I leave town. Last time I was in a laundromat, I used quarters. The machines don't take quarters here, and the attendant was very friendly and helped me load up the machine and get it going. Not exactly how I want to spend Friday night, but it all worked out. Fabulous! This is the cleanest laundromat I have ever been too. Don't bring your quarters because the machines operate through a card system (And not your credit card!). The company has a card that you need to put money on and then you use that to pay for the machines. It is very comfortable and the staff is very friendly. From now on, I won't wash any other place! read more

If you are looking for a laundromat with huge, BRAND NEW machines, friendly staff - Fast Laundry got it all. I got my laundry done in under an hour and was able to work remotely using free wi-fi. I love this laundry mat! It's always very clean inside and the machines are clean as well. You can use your credit card for those that don't carry cash often. And the staff is always so much help and very polite. And always doing something.
