I had a steel entry door to my condo, that I tried to DIY replace an old mortise (read: complicated) lock, and completely messed up the door breaking this thing out and trying to drill... Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have locked myself out of my apartment (private condo, therefore, no front desk/office that can help in such situations) - but coincidentally, the 2nd time Ben from Fast Locksmith has come to my rescue. This company has literally the worst customer support I have ever had with any organization. First of all I had an appointment to meet them at my car and they didn't show up until 2 hours after. I called the technician more than three times and he didn't pick up for more than an hour. Second of all, the quote on the phone was for $250 dollars, which was already a large sum, and once they came they upped the price to more than 2x that. After the service I asked for information on the company and owner, which he failed to give. I received info from my bank billings and found emailed the company to complain, but never received any response. I later found out that the technician that serviced my car was the owner, and was reluctant to give info because he knew I would complain. This is a sketchy company that will take advantage of you. I called these guys for a re-keying of our new condo. The locksmith answered the phone, said he could stop by in 45 minutes, and within an hour was at our place re-keying the locks. He did the re-keying in like 15-20 minutes (maybe less, wasn't really paying attention to time). He had a flat price for re-keying each lock, no additional fee just for getting there, no additional fee for extra keys (we got 4 copies). He takes credit cards which is very convenient (he carries a mobile credit POS). Overall, very fast, great and convenience service. I highly recommend them. read more
