Contacted Fast Plumbing 247 on Yelp about a possible faulty gas shutoff valve to my water heater. Jim responded within minutes, and after I provided some additional information on my unit, he gave me a very reasonable quote to replace the valve. He came out the following morning, checked everything, and determined that I didn't have a leak, but did note that the heater emits a slight gas smell when it's running a heating cycle, which is normal. He also explained the various safety features on my heater that would prevent it from continuing to operate if there was a buildup of CO2. Since he didn't do any repairs, I was charged a fair service call fee. Almost 5 years to the day from when they installed the water heater we got a call that the new unit was also leaking. Since Fast Plumbing installed it I sent another request a quote their way with the details. Within minutes I got a response from Jim who was the plumber taking the job. The whole process was super smooth as Jim preferred texting like me. Through text I was able to share what the issue was, forward over some photos from the tenant and building manager of the leak and the serial number of the unit, etc. He said he'd be able to squeeze us in the day after next so I let the tenant know and connected the two to actually get the job done.
