I've been a customer of Apex Plumbing for years. Last week I called them for 2 jobs--1) to replace the 5 cartridges in an under sink Apec filter, and 2) to replace a faucet cartridge in a Hans Grohe kitchen faucet. I had obtained all the necessary parts, so it was the plumber's labor that was needed to only install the parts I had purchased. No additional parts needed to be purchased. The plumber was onsite about 1 1/2 - maybe 1 3/4 hours. He charged me $695. The job was completed in a satisfactory manner, but while I've recommended Apex over the years, I'm afraid our relationship has ended. read more

Marco came and installed a new kitchen faucet, changed our bathroom sink drains, and fixed our tub drain. He was really patient and explained some options (one drain was broken and we discussed replacing one or both), and also helped us get creative and troubleshoot the tub drain issue when Home Depot didn't have the part we needed, because we really wanted it resolved that day instead of waiting for a part. I had poor customer experience recently that left both sides disappointed. I called Apex Plumbing to help me find the cause of a recurring odor in my guest bathroom which I suspected was due to sewer gas. Their service pro Brandon showed up and let me know that he would run a diagnostic test at a cost of $195. This fee would be put towards the final bill if he did a repair, and so I said yes. After about 20 minutes of using a "sewer gas detector" (a simple handheld tool he waved around to see if it beeps) he told me there was no gas. I asked him about the possible sources of the smell based on what I had found online and he got offended and told me he knows what he is doing. Yes, that is why I'm asking! Then he told me that he didn't smell anything and implied that I was imagining the problem. His final advice was to clean the bathroom, which I had done thoroughly several times leading up to the call for help. Without giving me any real way forward, he wrote up the bill for $195. When I asked if he could work with me on the charge or apply it to a future job he said he could not. read more

I found out that I had two gas leaks late on Friday evening and the service was shut off. I have two children 3 and under so this really was not a good situation for many reasons. I called Apex first thing on Saturday morning and left a message with the answering service. I received a call back from Chas within the hour.
