(As always when trying a new place, I have a deer in headlights moment when I'm overwhelmed with what to order or I'm caught between two items and can't decide! Argh!) The surprising thing was that after I ordered, the wait time was nearly non-existent. They brought out to me a few moments after my order. There was a lot of diligent young ladies working there and they seemed to be efficient and the cashier was kind and friendly. Upon receiving my paper wrapped burger I was a little disappointed with the size of the burger, it was the size of a orange and it reminded me of an orange because of the rounded bun. The chili fries were a good size but if I'm paying $6 for it, I expected a little more portion-wise. The burger tasted good, and the chili fries too, but now that I think about it, perhaps I should've ordered the falafel pita or the Southwest Burger (but if it's the same size as the burger I ordered, I would reconsider.) I love the fact that everything is vegan, but for the price to portion ratio, the taste alone will not cut it for me. But Shimmy Shack gave a worthy effort.
