Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, slaw, cornbread, mac and cheese

I picked Beale St. because they fresh-brew sweet tea and with an overall rating of 3.9, I assumed it would be pretty good. The mac and cheese, potato salad, cornbread, and sauces were are fantastic. The mac and cheese noodles were cavatappi noodles and seemed to have a smoked cheddar or Gouda cheese to it. The potato salad was like a baked potato style. The cornbread was moist and in my opinion, had some weird type of butter on top that I didn't like but my wife loved it. There are 4 sauces and all are homemade - Sweet, Memphis Gold, Sweet and Spicy, and House (a tangy, mild tomato). All the sauces were terrific. The service was also outstanding as our waitress was very attentive and even got us more ribs when I showed her my sad-lookibg rib. In fact, let's talk about that right now. The meats were sad. I have definitely had worse but they just weren't that good. The ribs were overcooked and they even gave me a rib that was nothing but bone. The waitress did bring me 2 more in exchange for that one. The brisket didn't have any flavor and was more chewy than moist. The pulled pork was ok. The other side I ordered was cole slaw and while it was diced and creamy, it was strong on horseradish. My sweet tea was brewed fresh and for Michigan, it wasn't bad. I thought it had a strong Peach taste and they added some kind of peach flavoring to it. The waitress told me they get it from Gordon Food Service then brew it. Maybe Gordon Food Service uses a different type of tea leaf. Anyway, the sweet tea was drinkable but tasted weird. Overall, I wanted to give it a 4 but after my wife and I talked, I just couldn't based on the quality of meat I had. There are some really good things at Beale St. like the mac and cheese, potato salad, and sauces. But the most important aspect of BBQ fell flat.

Pro tip: Visit on Wednesdays to get their wing special! You can order as many wings as you'd like, and mix and match flavors. They're big wings with a lot of meat on them which I appreciated. Service was excellent. Warm, inviting, and social. My favorite though was the French fries. The seasoning on the fries are insane, and one of the best fries I've had in awhile!

Big 1/2 burger and delicious fries!

This place is a little nugget hidden along side a gas station/truck stop. The burgers caught our eye and then bbq made it even more alluring. Our food was good, bang for your buck was good and the service was great.

    Burnt ends.

Quick dinner before amother long drive. Burnt ends appetizer is just the right size. First taste, the sauce has a little kick. Good portion size. Well flavored. These are not true burnt ends, rather chopped brisket with some ends. Still good. #spicemeister approved bbq.

Always stop at the restaurant to pick up their bbq sauce. It is a standard thing in my house along with mustard and ketchup.

I liked the chips, not sure if you can upgrade to fries, but I also got a garlic parm waffle fry with their aioli. It was tasty. We also tried the BBQ rip lollipops. They were meaty and filling. They came with celery and blue cheese or ranch, we got the blue cheese. I like that the ribs came with a veggie, good choice not to only do carbs as sides. I am sad that I did not try the lobster roll, but I felt that I should get what they are know for first before venturing outside the box. The people working here seemed friendly and helpful. We were able to order and pick up in a reasonable amount of time, it was packed here in general. I am not sure about using the QR code, I just went to their trailer and ordered in person. This place is a big expensive for what you get, it is typical of food trucks to have small portions and high prices. But, if you are eating here, you are paying for an experience. This is a party atmosphere for all ages. You can eat outside, which we did, or inside. They have lawn games outside and arcade games inside on two levels. I would eat at this place again. I would just like to see perhaps a larger fry portion or slightly cheaper burger price.

Very little meat in the tacos and a lot of the pepper sauce which was very sweet and overwhelmed all the other flavors (should have ordered it on the side). I'm not sure I will return.

I was told this was Fenton's best dining. Spinach and artichoke dip had no salt and the dip was grainy - almost gritty. It tasted better with salt. My ribeye was greatly overcooked, and for a $45+ steak, you want it cooked correctly. I sent it back and the second ribeye was somehow more burnt and also included a lot more fat. It was so bad it seemed almost intentional the second time. Mac and cheese tasted packaged/pre-made with grocery store bacon bits on top. The garlic potatoes were good. We waited for our check for 20 minutes after eating. Staff members were leaned against the bar and talking, scrolling cell phones, playing with their hair - while looking over at us repeatedly. I finally stood up to go to the front and three waitresses all came over at once and took my card. The manager came over to bring the card and apologized for the delay. Wouldn't come back - if this is Fenton's best, go to another town over for dinner!
