So I messed up and didn't take pictures of my burritos or bagel but GAH DAMN this place is BOMB! The food, the coffee. Everything! I did go through the drive thru so cannot say much about the ambiance or service inside but through the drive thru it was great lol!!! GO CHECK THEM OUT!!!

Staff works quick in this popular place. Got a parking space and hoping I can pull out and or go forward due to what looks like a drive thru line. Convenient but it takes couple minutes to toast and smear bagels so that drive line doesn't move up quickly. Looking forward to my Miss Piggy w bacon eggs and pistachio mortadella- which I think is cheese. Yes- my bagel was toasted to perfection and the ham was SO good. Lots and lots of jalapenos on my bagel too. So perfect. A lovely visit for a lovely fat bagel !

Stopped by this bagel store when we stayed at Flagstaff. If you are a meat lover, definitely need to try the miss piggy, the hash browns added some different texture too. I got the blueberry cream cheese, it was not too sweet, maybe would be better with cinnamon raisin bagel or plain bagel. The service was good and it was packed in early morning, but they also have drive through.

First visit, Sunday morning. I ordered the Kaiti and mango green tea. The Kaiti was good but had the thinnest amount of avocado added. Apprantly, that's how they make them because we ordered two Kaiti's and they both only had a smear of avocado. The mango green tea was very bitter. I had to add sweetener to make it drinkable. The service was fine. There's not a ton of seating but we still were able to eat inside with a few places to sit.

Really 3.5 stars but rounding up for exceptionally fast and kind service. Stopped by Fat Bagels on a Saturday morning to try out their menu. We ordered a Classic bagel (added bacon) and a Gobbler on a salt bagel. The Gobbler was delicious! It had a very generous portion of turkey. The honey was key for flavor as there was barely any cheese. On the other hand, the Classic came with cheddar instead of the requested American cheese. The bagel was a bit dry and the whole taste experience felt like it lacked flavor. Something to note about the Classic bagel order: it does not come with protein. You'll need to ask for an add on. One other note is that there is no "build your own" bagel option. We found that to be a bit strange and it seemed to make the ordering process more complicated and less intuitive. There is a drive-thru that was quite busy. You can dine inside but probably more of a takeout spot.

Love love love! We discovered it when picking up dinner from Fat Olives, and I love bagels so we tried it one morning. Loved it so much, we had it again the morning we headed back home. It's a small place, and we didn't have to wait too long in line or for our food. The price was good as well! I got the orange juice both days, an onion bagel the first day, and a garlic bagel the next day, both with chive schmear. The bagels were very good, and the cream cheese as well! And the juice, I loved it. Bummer it doesn't come in a bigger size. I really loved the flavor each time and the amount of cream cheese I think is perfect, not too much but definitely enough for every bite. The service was also very nice each morning, both at the register and when giving us our food. It can get busy and a little tight in there, but it's well worth the food. We ate in the car both mornings just because I'm not a fan of smaller spaces that are a bit filled. Next time we come through Flagstaff we are definitely stopping by again for breakfast.

I ordered the Wanda and opted out for the garlic bagel and it was SO GOOD!! These bagels have to be the closest to New York bagels that I have tried- which has been hard to find because ifykyk. New York bagels are unmatched and these were perfect!! I loved the pastrami and scrambled eggs in the bagels you can tell both were very fresh!! I loved all the protein offered in these bagels as well. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. The shop itself is small and cozy but the perfect place to bring your family or eat by yourself.

This bagel was indeed fat. Got the miss piggy on a salt bagel and it did not disappoint. It was delicious and filling but not too greasy. The bagel was amazing for being in the middle of Flag. This is a great stop if you're in the area!

The shop was small with a pretty busy drive through, but if you order inside there was next to no line. I got the flagstaff Philly on a garlic bagel, which I thought was a (4/5). The garlic bagel itself was delicious, super garlicky, one of the best I've had. The cheesesteak content I thought was a little bland, but it did have a really good cheese pull. I also got a chocolate croissant (4/5) the croissant was flaky and buttery, it was just 90% croissant 10% chocolate. The chocolate was super delicious though, it was a good mix between milky and dark chocolate.

Delicious bagel shop in Flagstaff- - NY style - had hoped to snag a salt one but they were out late morning. Order inside or via drive thru. They have traditional schmeers and bagels of course, or some fun sandwiches like the Miss Piggy, Flagstaff Philly etc. Staff was helpful and friendly and inside is cozy with a few tables for eating in.

This place is hard to miss when driving along old Route 66 in Flagstaff, especially since it's located right next to Fat Olive. I decided to stop by and grab some bagels before leaving town. It was Sunday at 11 a.m., and while the parking lot was only half full, the inside was bustling. I noticed a sign for online order pickups, so I skipped the line and placed my order online. Although they don't have an online ordering link on Yelp, a quick Google search for "Fat Bagel online order" did the trick. The estimated wait time was 30 minutes, but my order was ready in just 10. They seemed well-staffed and very efficient. As for the bagels, they were decent, though nothing particularly special. It's worth noting that they also have a drive-thru, which adds to the convenience.

This is the second time I have been here and let me tell you... it's awesome! First time I got an Asiago bagel and it was great. This time, I ordered the miss piggy breakfast bagel. This might be one of the best bagel sandwiches I have ever had! I also ordered a brown sugar cinnamon latte. It is pretty sweet but I like it that way so it was fine for me! Inside is simple and clean, and they were playing some good music. Really personable employees as well, I will definitely be back!

Good bagels however when I paid they added a "Flagstaff Service Charge" on top of the 11 percent food tax. Why not just increase price of your already high priced food. I think they do it as most will not see the extra charge. Bad Business practices. read more

So excited to leave this review. We happened upon this place as we were driving through town and decided to try it for breakfast today. It's such a cute place, we didn't go inside but the drive thru was quick, efficient and the staff were incredibly friendly and personable. We ordered hot bagel breakfast sandwiches on everything bagels with bacon and a plain bagel with cream cheese. It was so fresh, and so tasty. We normally have a rule while we travel that we never go anywhere twice, but we will definitely stop here on our way out. It was so delicious and I can't get over how quickly everything came out as well. They have a large menu, and I'm sure everything is good, but it is definitely worth checking out for breakfast. read more

UGHHH I LOVE FAT BAGLES DUDE the sesame toasted with plain cream cheese ALWAYS hits & they have a crazy mixed berry bagel with this crazy almost granola like crust ontop that's killer, with the strawberry cream cheese SO GOOD!!! So while these bagels are definitely excellent for out west, they would be just ok back east. They're certainly crunchy and yeasty enough to be satisfactory, and they're a solid option, but they would be perhaps a bit below average in NYC, and average for most Northeast cities. read more

Love having a bagel place on the east side! We've gotten breakfast sandwiches through the drive through and more recently dined inside for lunch. The Bagels are tasty. I just wish they could get an order right the first time. They were nice enough to refund me and remake my bagel after they did not follow the instructions on the ticket to make it correctly the first time. But when you are rushing about your morning you are not always able to come back for a remake when you have classes for the next 4 hours of the day. Check your order before you leave the place, if you had any special requests 50% chance they messed it up. This was the 4 instance that the person made my bagel wrong this year. read more

Fat Bagel or Tiny Bagel? For $9 this bagel is not nearly as big as I would have expected. I don't think this is worth the value. The bagel is small. Also, why are they asking for a tip on the screen at the drive thru? If the bagel is $9, you want me to tip AT THE DRIVE THRU? I'm aware prices have gone up on everything, however, make the price make sense. If you're calling yourselves "fat bagels" and charging $8-9 a bagel, it better be a hefty size. read more

*Plastic strings in my sandwich and general manager didn't care.* When I told the GM about it, I was shocked that he didn't apologize or show he was sorry. He said, "Yeah...my workers eventually found out and took off the rest of the plastic." Usually customer service there is great, but I can't imagine the head guy not caring about how this affects customers. My young son was eating it with me and he could have choked on one of the strings. Not sure how many others were given plastic strips in their sandwiches, or if anyone actually ingested them. Yikes read more

Terrible customer service - I tried to call in an order and he told me he was too busy to take a phone order? But he did spend two minutes telling me that he was too busy - he could've just taken the order.!!! Never again .. the Customer Service at Biff's bagels is impeccable! This place is amazing, me and my girlfriend have been going to biffs bagels for a while now but since this place opened we have started coming here instead. Fat Bagels blows the other place out of the park. Their bagels are softer, more flavorful, and cheaper. We were so excited to see that this place has vegan cream cheese, which is the only reason why we could order something here. We hope they will eventually add more vegan flavors! read more

Stopped in today with a friend and was extremely pleased to find good bagels out west in a small town. So surprised to find real bagels with a crunchy crust and a soft interior. You order and get your food at the counter , the staff is friendly and helpful. It started the next leg of our trip around Arizona on a very happy note. I could not wait for Fat Bagels to open and I was not disappointed! Bagels were fresh and combined great crunchiness, chewiness, and fluffiness. I had the Kenai on everything and the house smoked salmon was great! Daughter got plain with blueberry cream cheese and I was impressed by the freshness and flavor of the cream cheese. The inside is super cheerful and brings such an upbeat and fresh vibe. Most of all,we really appreciated the friendly customer service. Can't wait to come back to try lunch! I was so excited to try this place. Unfortunately they disappointed me. I ordered ONE breakfast sandwich but I requested a different variety of bagel than the standard one. At the drive-thru window they requested (expected) a tip, but didn't even get the order right. One item with one substitute request and they got it wrong. If you want a tip, get the order right. Three stars because it did taste good, just not what I wanted. read more

2:00 p.m. is the posted closing time. We arrived at 1:15 but the store was closed due to being out of bagels. Couldn't serve coffee or any other item on this beautiful cloudy afternoon since they'd already closed. Poor service to the public. We saw at least 4 other cars pass through the drive-thru in the time we were present. read more

Great new spot in town! I went there for the first time the other day and got the California bagel sandwich. Service was friendly and fast... bagel tasted delicious and was filling! When you go inside, they have all their freshly baked bagels out on display you to see. They also have a drive-thru! This place has got in going on! Seriously. The staff is amazing and their bagels are really delicious. Three days, while visiting Flagstaff, we grabbed a bagel and coffee. Both the light and the dark roast coffees are really yummy. We tried bagels different each time and the sandwich style vs the toasted with cream cheese spread are equally awesome. You can tell it's also a well run shop because employees are happy and customers engaged with the employees and each other. read more

We popped in on a Monday morning hoping to score some great grub and we certainly found some! Cubano ($20.95) - Starting with the bread - it's really fluffy, not toasted or pressed as with usual cubanos. Unfortunately, it's probably a little too light for the sandwich because some parts get mushy from being soaked in all the dijonnaise. The dijonnaise is very sweet, creamy with a mustardy zing. I think they add a bit too much, making the sandwich more fatty and messy to eat than I like (not to mention what I stated before about it soaking into the bread). The meat is fantastic. Both porchetta and ham are griddled on the flat top, giving them a developed and concentrated edge. The ham is to the point of being like country ham, while the porchetta still has great seasoned porky flavor. I believe they griddle the swiss cheese alongside the meat. It melts and crisps up into a cheese skirt, adding a fantastic texture to the sandwich. There's a lot of crinkle cut pickles underneath the meat, but it's not enough acid to cut through all that fat. Sandwiches come with a side of house chips. They are fried until a darker golden brown color, but aren't burnt. This gives a great kettle chip-like crunch. Even with different sized chips, they are very evenly fried with all chips being the same texture. They are salted the perfect amount. (4/5) Aleppo Pepper Pastrami sub Tomato Soup ($22.75) - This place is famous for their pastrami, and I can tell the quality. It's cooked on the griddle until it develops crisp edges. It's fatty, but the fat is rendered so there are no chewy and leathery parts. The meat is extremely tender and thinly sliced. It's honestly almost like bacon in texture, but the taste is completely different, with the exterior spices and pepper making a huge impact along with the rich concentrated meatiness inside. The bread is a nice toasted sourdough, not strongly sour in flavor, but definitely noticeable. The bottom slice is slathered with plenty of nopales studded cream cheese. It's added in a large amount and is an extremely creamy and fatty substance yet somehow doesn't overwhelm the sandwich. It's warm but not melty. The nopales are clearly there but I didn't find it to contribute much. The pastrami is layered on top of that followed by a ton of sweet brown caramelized onions that are very tender. An entire green chile, roasted and super smoky, is above that. Finally, aleppo mustard is spread on the top slice of bread. Between the green chile and the aleppo, there's a slight warmth that tinges the sandwich. It's nothing too spicy. Instead of chips, we opted to sub the Tomato Soup (no fee). It's very homestyle, full of tomato richness in a thick blend. It has a strong tangy tomato essence. There's basil oil drizzled on top for a boost of freshness. The soup is unfortunately quite a bit too acidic for my tastes, but that's only by itself! While very acidic, the soup is actually great as a balance to the sandwich (along with the pickle of course) since there's so much richness and fat coming in between the bread. (5/5) Proper Meats + Provisions definitely serves some great sandwiches. We were considering visiting again for our 2 full days in Flagstaff, but weren't able to make it because they close so early at 6!
