Macys is a major staple near Downtown Flagstaff. It is well known and loved, and it shows! When we went into the shop, every seat was taken, a lot of people were sitting outside, and there was a long line (took us about 20 minutes to get through the line). There were so many drinks and food options and everything looked fresh. When ordering we did find out that they do not use flavored syrups. I see this as a bonus of them wanting the taste of their coffee to speak on its own...but be warned if you are a flavored coffee person. The orders came out fast, but it was extremely cramped and if you were waiting for a to go order it felt like you were constantly in the way due to the tables and limited walking space. I got a hot dirty chai with oatmilk, and it was extremely good. The espresso shots gave you the perfect jolt and the chai was spiced extremely well. I recommend checking out Macy's European Coffee House...Just maybe not in the morning and lunch hour.

Not a bad coffee place! The coffee is good but I think food is a bit mediocre. Waffles were good but scrambled eggs were a bit flavorless. The tomato and basil soup with grilled cheese was good and flavorful.

Great food, great service, vibes are relaxed family shop. Really like that they open at 6AM. Eggs are steamed and scrambled.

AMAZING. Got the Macy's special and it was a 10/10. Strong coffee flavor and slightly sweet. The bagels around the corner are amazing too.

By far, my favorite eating place in Flagstaff. It is a fun, Bohemian coffee shop. The staff is attentive, helpful and friendly. The coffee is truly European style. And the food is yummy. Can I please give it 10 stars?**********!

This place was located in a cute area of Flagstaff. All the drinks looked so yummy here on yelp, I had to try it out for myself. As soon as I entered I was greeted by the baristas. The menu was a little overwhelming, just because it was my first time and there were so many options. I wasn't sure what to pick, but I decided on a simple honey cinnamon iced latte with oat milk. It was l pretty good, I have no complaints. All their pastries looked so delicious. I really appreciate that they have gluten free and vegan options. I got a gluten free cookie and their sugar donut. I also ordered a steamed milk with brown sugar for my daughter. We were satisfied with everything and glad we were able to stop by!

Interesting little spot with lots of seating. They have a large menu to choose from with simple drink options. I ordered a chai which is from the Oregon chai concentrate. That's already yummy just a bit pricy for what you're getting. They also do not have flavors but will offer brown sugar, agave, or honey as a sweetener. There isn't much of a wait for your drink either.

Such a cute and cozy cafe! I love the old fashioned vibe inside. The person working at the counter was very friendly and the food came out quickly. It was really good! Prices were reasonable. I don't like coffee but if you're into that, their coffee menu was very big. Great place to stop for a drink or a quick bite to eat! There is plenty of seating inside and out but be aware that there are only a few parking spots out front. There is free street parking on the streets nearby.

Great spot in flagstaff for a coffee and a sweet treat! I was so happy that they had vegan scones, which were slightly crisp on the outside and so fluffy on the inside - delicious! I of course had to pick up some homemade dog treats for my homies, which they loved!!

    Great, varied food selection!

So cute! Smells amazing inside! Freshly ground coffee - roasted on site! Grilled cheese and homemade soup was delicious! Pumpkin latte with real pumpkin! Highly recommend this place! Quality food, drink, and kind service! Inside seating as well as tables out front outside.

My husband and I stopped by this cute cafe for breakfast. Walking in, there was already a line around 7AM. We didn't mind waiting. I got the egg breakfast which came with fruit, eggs with cheese, toast and jam. I'd say this was the perfect amount of food. It was simple and filling. I also got a decaf coffee with agave syrup. The coffee temperature itself was drinkable when it came out but got a bit cold within minutes. Drink fast! My husband got the breakfast sandwich and the Mexicano coffee. I liked his coffee choice! The cafe was busy and seemed to have their local community coming in mostly. Great spot to chill with friends or catching up.

It was pretty busy when we arrived Sunday morning at 6:45 AM. There were at least 10 people ahead of us in line, but it moved quickly. The girls taking our orders were friendly and welcoming. They guys bringing out the food, not so much. The Breakfast Sandwich was ok. It was fairly filling, but I felt it was missing something. The Cafe Mexicano was perfect! I liked how it wasn't too sweet. I wish I had gotten a large xD Lots of cool art to look at inside that are available for purchase.

Great spot to start our day. Their oat milk latte was perfect, served in a big cozy mug. They were quite busy and expect a bit of a line on a weekend. Great they had vegan options and the oatmeal was delicious (I always wish there was an option to add peanut butter, but that might just be me). Really cute ambience and we enjoyed seats looking out the window.

I've eaten here countless times and I'm never disappointed. They serve breakfast and lunch and have a variety of dishes, including vegetarian options. Their waffles are incredible as are their burritos, skillets, tostadas, and gorditas. Breakfast always comes with a side of whole beans (flavored with ham hock) which are super fresh. I can truly say there's nothing bad on this menu! The staff is always super welcoming and friendly and the ambiance is refreshing. It's a smaller space and it does get pretty busy, so be aware of that. The best part is that the cafe is family owned, with roots in Playa del Carmen, MX. I HIGHLY recommend Madrez if you're looking for a delicious and authentic Mexican brunch spot. Support local!

My partner and I ordered a chorizo burrito, a skillet poblano, and a plain waffle. While everything was just okay, it honestly felt like something we could have made better at home. I especially wouldn't recommend the waffles -- they were very airy, almost like toast, and at $14 they just didn't feel worth it. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but it's not somewhere I'd return to.

We had a standard queen room both times and it's spacious, bathroom has two sinks one in and one out so yconvenient for two people sharing. The pool is a roundish shape but large enough to swim some laps when there aren't a lot of children there. There are four 2 level inter connected buildings and #4 being the furthest away from the lobby - you can park your car (parking is free) close to any building but it's a bit of a walk on foot. Location is a bit out of town not walking distance to downtown Flagstaff. Rating it a 3 star due to service. On a day when they don't seem to be full they still wouldn't accommodate a late check out by just an hour (at noon instead of 11 am) which I didn't think would have made any difference to them but would have made a huge one for us. Then there is the breakfast. Nice dining room and all, but service was slow and the food came lukewarm, this at a time when it was early and hardly anyone in the dining room. And in addition to that, I had tea and it came in a tea pot with one weak tea bag, and as I like my tea strong I asked for another tea bag in the same pot and was told I'd be charged a second pot of tea ($5). This kind of stinginess just doesn't befit the seeming stature of such a hotel. And finally, the teacup they gave me had a long crack in it - I discovered it when i saw the saucer filing up with tea and didn't think I spilled any in it. The crack was old and stained, not a new one, so it was shocking that no staff had noticed it for this long and cared enough to not continue using it. Let's just say I'd never encountered broken cups like this in lesser priced motels. For this trip to Flagstaff I also had a two-night stay in another hotel downtown and other than the swimming pool, it was much better value and more comfortable with more helpful staff - and no broken tea cups!

If you're planning on breakfast for dinner, you'll need to adjust your expectations. That said, the dinner more than made up for it. We were intrigued enough that we visited MartAnne's the very next night for dinner. That was on a Tuesday at around 6PM and it wasn't too busy the entire time we were there. House Horchata ($5.99) - This drink comes in a giant 32 oz Ball jar with tons of ice. Per the server it's made with milk and condensed milk, no rice milk at all. It's rich, thick, creamy, sweet, filled with earthy notes of vanilla and cinnamon. There's so much spice included that at some points, there's almost a gritty feeling while drinking. It's perfect for a hot day after hiking. Buckwheat Pancake ala carte ($4.99) - Buckwheat pancakes are something we've never seen before on a diner menu in the past. It seems to be pretty common around Arizona, so we had to give it a try before leaving Flagstaff. This one's pretty big, almost plate sized. It's really moist, fluffy, bouncy, and light with a slight sweetness and a certain earthy flavor. It's moist enough that it sticks to the ceramic plate it's served on. The pancake is somewhat crumbly due to the low gluten content of buckwheat, although I believe they use a mix of buckwheat and wheat flour to give some more stability. It's bluish grey in color with black specks of ground buckwheat throughout. It's dusted with powdered sugar, but it's not a ton, making the pancake not really sweet at all. The pancake comes with a small cup of their cinnamon honey butter. It's not mixed that well, leaving it mostly unhomogenized with streaks of honey and spice through the softened salted butter. Tamale ala carte ($4.99) - MartAnne's offers two types of tamales - the first a red chile beef, and the second a green corn and cheese. We went with the latter, which is a homemade tamale with a somewhat looser, coarsely ground masa shell surrounding an interior of yellow sweet corn kernels, a bouncy and somewhat spongy block of Oaxaca cheese, and a fragrant green chile. There's a slight sweetness throughout and the tamale overall is easy to eat. Chilaquiles, Xmas, Fratelli ($17.99) - This is a monster sized plate of a mishmash of ingredients. There are three things as essentially a base layer. Firstly some Mexican rice that's tender, moist, and fluffy, totally unlike the more common dry and and compact version. My guess is that they skip the initial frying step that helps keeps the starch together. It's quite fragrant and has gives a bit of heat. On top of the rice is a layer of hash browns. The potatoes are tender on the interior, griddled on one side to give a delightful crunch, although there's some acridity that develops. Another third of the plate is covered with chili beans - tender pinto beans that are well salted and seasoned. Then there's the eggs stuffed in between layers of corn tortilla chips, smothered with sauce. I went with the Christmas combination of red and green sauce, followed up by the Fratelli-style pork green chile. The green sauce is fragrant and vegetal, while the red sauce is more smoky. The pork, which is cut into chunks, on top is a bit tough and dry but there's more than enough sauce to make up for that slight demerit. Finally, there's a small mound of I believe jalapeno peppers, cut into small neon-green colored pieces. Some pieces are spicy, some are mild, all have a vegetal pepper taste. I found the food at MartAnne's to be pretty good. It definitely hits the spot after hiking all around the area for most of the day. Bathrooms - Two individual rooms, one for men, one for women. Note: MartAnne's charges a 3.5% credit card fee. This is labeled on the menu.
