You know when you see marketing campaigns on social media for restaurants you always wonder if the restaurant will live up to the hype of the marketing people. This one is every ounce of what they market online. The food is amazing. The staff is amazing. Inside is amazing. There's even plenty of parking near the local train station. The broccoli side had no mention on the menu of it being garlicky and in fact way too garlicky. The Asparagus side appeared huge; however, had very hard stems that we had to cut off. It could have been shaved and rolled until soft. Otherwise, Max is the friendliest of bartenders and remembered our name. Our steak was rare and juicy, our Branzino cooked to perfection. The Harrison is the quintessential Gastropub- perfect for meeting friends who want a top-tier place within walking distance of the LIRR. Housed in a landmark Floral Park building, this gem has a warm ambiance with low lighting, leather booths, and quiet background coffee-sleepy-jazz in the background (Though, as a fan, I wish they hadn't messed with the Sly and the Family Stone's "If You Want Me To Stay" :D). There is an inviting large bar, an open kitchen, and a large private room in the back. The menu is American classics made with premium ingredients. Although his place is known for their single malt whiskey, craft beer and signature cocktails, only one at our table had a cocktail: EZ Money made with gin, prosecco, lemon, cucumber and St- Germain Elderflower Liqueur. I will look at their wine list next visit. As for the food, the garlic bread and calamari did not disappoint. Our table ordered a variety of dishes. A unique rotisserie chicken salad sandwich, a salmon bowl, and an order of mussels. Each dish was a win. I chose a great mesclun green salad and had to try the double smash burger, a mouth-watering proprietary blend of prime chuck, brisket and short rib which I'd have to talk myself out of not re ordering with my next visit. Came here the morning after a snowstorm for brunch, and it was delicious. There are a few parking spots in the parking lot across from the corner of The Harrison. Can you really go wrong with a restaurant that provides a bread basket? The steak frites and sauce were cooked to perfection, and the flavor of the sauce was delicious. The eggs benny came with arugula and home fries. I thought the plate of French toast could have had a little more decoration, but it was yummy. Our waitress was very nice and checked up on us a bunch of times and encouraged us to get dessert (which I appreciated!) Service was excellent, the booths were comfortable, and the food was delicious. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. read more

The Harrison absolutely delivered. I attended a ski trip themed party, and the entire experience was amazing from start to finish. The atmosphere was fun, energetic, and well executed everything from the décor to the crowd made it feel like a true event, not just a night out. The music was diverse, which kept the energy high all night and brought everyone together on the dance floor. The drinks were strong (in the best way), and the bartenders clearly knew what they were doing. I also met a lot of great people, which says a lot about the vibe and the crowd the venue attracts. We went for restaurant week on a Friday night. It was very crowded in the main room but the back room luckily wasn't filled up yet so we got a table for four of us without waiting. We ordered drinks first and that came very quick. Then we ordered our appetizers which came immediately. The burger was delicious on it's own, same for the meatballs. Our table mainly got the steak and fries. The steak was cooked perfectly for each of us. We got medium rare, medium, and medium well. All of which came out correct. The peppercorn gravy tastes good but overwhelms the flavor of the steak. I enjoyed it but one of our party didn't even use it so it's a hit or miss. Service was excellent even on a busy night. I was lucky enough to win an Instagram contest from The Harrison and their sister restaurant Luigi's NHP for the Super Bowl. The Harrison provided us with 10 of their incredible smash burgers and a tray of their amazing homemade Mac and cheese! They were so sweet to accommodate making the burgers with just cheese and providing the sauce and veggies on the side. My kids went crazy for the burgers especially. The Mac and cheese was delicious too and I really loved the mezze rigatoni as the pasta used. Everyone I corresponded with from the restaurant was also so nice. The Harrison at UBS Arena seriously exceeded expectations. We ordered the burger, which features a Pat LaFrieda proprietary double-stacked blend, smashed and fully dressed with American cheese on a brioche bun. While it was a little disappointing that there were no add-ons available, since the burgers are made in batches and placed on the counter for grab-and-go that minor drawback was quickly forgotten after the first bite. This was easily one of the best burgers I've ever had. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly smashed, and incredibly satisfying. My husband agreed so wholeheartedly that he finished the entire thing without hesitation. Always the ultimate endorsement. The burger also comes with a side of French fries, which were just as delicious. Crisp, well-seasoned, and a perfect complement. For arena food, The Harrison is on another level. I was here again recently for a large group dinner. Our server kept up well with us all through the night...15 people! Our drinks were always full and he was smart to just bring the pitcher. Dinner service was fantastic - all of the recommendations provided were spot on. Must try the steak, Berkshire pork chops, and branzino. Even the complimentary bread caught the attention of everyone in my group. One thing to note, the desserts are a little non-traditionally made. Crusts seem to be thicker and too much in proportion to the pie/cake slice. Surprisingly, the while still big portions, their quality was just meh on the desserts. Parking lot available across the way but be mindful to read the signs. One lot is for the residential building and the other is for the local businesses. The wait staff and servers all work together in unison. It is a well oiled machine here. The waiter is not necessarily your server and the bus persons are plenty. Complimentary bread is served warm and delicious. My favorite side dish has been the roasted brussel sprouts and of course the Parmesan truffle fries. Just the sheer size of the plates - very generous portions throughout. My girlfriend always gets the eggplant and I usually get the Berkshire pork chop or steak. Nice atmosphere, good service, bread is warm and water cup was always full. We came the night before Valentine's Day and it was busy! People were having a good time at the bar watching the Olympics. We started with a H cocktail and glass of red with the cauliflower app and pigs in a blanket. Both were seasoned well. Cauliflower was not over fried and had a nice crunch. I enjoyed the flaky layers of pastry on the pigs in the blanket. The complimentary bread was warm and fluffy with soft butter. For the main, I had the steak frites which was cooked to a perfect medium rare with yummy fries. The sauce was a bit on the watery side. Not sure about my husband's pork chop but he seemed to have enjoyed it. The dessert was a disappointment.. They have part of the parking lot across the street (make sure you are parking in The Harrison designated spots and not the tenant designated spots!) They were already opened a few minutes before 11, and quickly became bustling with the many tables. Shoutout to Mark for taking care of us! He was attentive and polite. He started us off right away with their complimentary Parker Rolls, which were fresh, soft and buttery topped with a bit of flaky salt and rosemary. There was butter on the side, but I found it buttery enough to not need it. The Brussels Sprouts was a great portion to try as an appetizer. The brussel sprouts were very crisp and caramelized, which was balanced with the scallions and mayo. A few pieces were a bit too charred for my liking, but great dish overall. The BLT & E with Coleslaw was my choice of entree. The sourdough bread was a bit too hard for me, and the sandwich was stacked a tad bit too high. I toasted up a leftover half and ate it as 2 open faced sandwiches (one side BEC, the other BLT) and it was better that way. The right height and not too hard with only one bread slice. The toppings were fresh. The 44 North (seasonal cocktail) was more 44 North Huckleberry Vodka than lemonade, but good flavor overall. I squeezed in the lemon for more lemon flavor. Sat in a comfy booth for two, really loved the cozy, intimate atmosphere. Ambiance was perfect, not too loud and perfectly lit. Our Waitress was so sweet. Now for the food, I was so impressed. It was absolutely incredible. Starting with the bread, warm, soft and delicious. Then the Mac and cheese as an app, it was one of the best I've had, definitely recommend trying it. Then, had the "h burger" for my entree, which was easily one the best smash burgers ever. The Brussel sprouts were delicious and the fries were just perfect. I pass this place every day as I walk to the train station, it is so unassuming! When I went here for the first time, I was BLOWN AWAY by how incredible the food was! Everything from the sushi to the pasta, to the meat was absolutely delicious!! I went here recently with my husband and son, and had a lovely time for an impromptu family date night. We didn't make reservations, but walked in and got lucky with a 10 minute wait for an outdoor table. We ordered the house bread (so good) and the crispy tuna rice for apps. For mains, we got the halibut, burger for my son, and spicy rigatoni with shrimp. The food was good, but this time nothing to write home about! The service for me was so so, there were a few moments where I felt they could have done better, like we didn't have cutlery for about 5 minutes after our food arrived, and the waiters were kind of careless with the way they were handing people knives. I'm usually not cognizant of these things but with my 3 year old around I'm always on hyper alert! Overall, I will definitely be back for the great food but maybe not with my little one! read more

I wanted to give this place a try for a while so finally my friend and I went on a Wednesday night, the restaurant was pretty busy. My friend and I snagged two seats at the bar which is really where we usually prefer to sit. They had two bartenders we did order with them both. The restaurant is a nice size with some tables and booths. The bar is nice and long old fashioned wood. The liquor choices were limited for tequila but they did have a small selection. We ordered a strawberry patron margarita for her and a cosmo for me. My drink was ok I've had better. For starters we ordered a California roll which was good my friend enjoyed it & the Harrison wings which were also okay. For our mains I got the fried chicken which was okay I do wish it was seasoned a bit more it was on the bland side not really what I expected. My friend got the burger and she did enjoy it. We were not offered the complementary bread which we did see some people get but we were already on our entrees my friend did want it but I didn't even bother to ask. Everything from minute I walk in was spot on. The menu is delightful, the drinks are absolutely chilled and served to perfection but most of all my server Mohammed displayed true professionalism and courtesy. Came here twice within a months span! We had dinner here one night. Ordered brussels sprouts, mac and cheese, crispy calamari and the Harrison wings for appetizers. Unfortunately they didn't have the brussels sprouts so can't comment on that but the mac and cheese and wings were delicious. The Mac and cheese was a perfect blend of creamy and cheesy. The outer coat of the wings had a nice crunch and flavor profile. For mains, we ordered the spicy rigatoni pasta, braised short rib, and the burger! Everything came out perfect and on time. We came here Christmas night. I had no idea it'd be completely packed. Year before we went out but on vacation in PA so we realize things might be slower or just unusual because of the holiday. Most of us were happy with our food. My mom was very disappointed in hers but they were quick to take it off the bill for her. They have a lovely bar area if you're looking for just drinks or a cocktail while you wait for a table. Our waiter was lovely, kind and attentive. We started out with the the zucchini and eggplant chips served with tzatziki, it was all delicious. The veggies were thinly sliced and perfectly fried without being greasy. The mussels entree was served with fries and a slice of toasted bread. It was a huge portion with tender mussels in a flavorful broth. The roast chicken was well done. Seasoned nicely with hints of herbs, served with asparagus and mashed potatoes, it was the perfect comfort dish. For dessert we opted for the apple crumble with ice cream. 4.5 Finally had a chance to check out The Harrison, and I'm glad I did. The food, atmosphere, and ambiance were all spot-on. I came here for brunch and we started with the Brussels sprouts and Harrison wings. The Brussels sprouts had a nice balance of sweet and savory from the honey and aioli. The wings also had a nice sweetness, along with a great crunch to the skin, even though they were sauced. For our entrees, we had the Harrison Burger and the BLT&E. The burger was really good--how could you go wrong with a Pat LaFrieda blend of beef? The fact that it was smashed made it taste like a better version of a Shake Shack burger. The BLT&E was okay--nice thick slices of sourdough and a bit thicker pieces of bacon; all good. I didn't mention the service earlier because I think it deserves its own paragraph. I'm the type of person who doesn't need a face smiling at me when I'm greeted or to be asked every few minutes if I need anything. However, today's server seemed a bit distracted. He rarely came by, and he messed up our order (I specifically asked for my burger with the coleslaw instead of fries, and I clearly mentioned this to him). When the runner brought out my food, he noticed I looked confused, and I told him I had ordered it with the coleslaw. He quickly went to the back, grabbed some, and brought it out. Meanwhile, our server was there when the runner brought out our food and didn't say a word about the mishap. So, while our server wasn't great, the runner gets two thumbs up.
