    Burrito

The owners and staff were wonderful. I had the smothered burrito and my friend had the salmon special with pasta on the side. I really enjoyed the place. Clean and easy place to enjoy. Highly recommended.

The people running Fat Fender were very, very nice. Service was attentive. I love all of the plants in the window. The food? Some of the worst we have ever eaten. I was going to order a salad but the only dressing choices were ranch or italian, so I got a grilled cheese and tomato soup. I am pretty positive the soup was a can of Campbells- it was very bland. The grilled cheese was white bread filled either with American or Velveeta cheese. Again- very bland. My husband ordered an Old Fashioned to drink and the chicken picatta. The "old fashioned" was a glass filled with oranges, lemons, limes, cherries, and sugar on the rim. No ice. It was just sweet. The chicken was unseasoned and completely rubbery. The pasta tasted only of lemon and sat in a puddle of lemon juice. It was not edible. We paid our bill and left most of the food there. I have no idea how this place is in business. Nice people, terrible food.

The restaurant wasn't fooling around when it comes to garlic. You could smell the enticing aroma of it as soon as you walk through the door. The ambience was quaint. It is connected to a hotel which I'd check out if I were traveling through here again. We arrived at the restaurant around 530pm. The happy hour menu had both drinks and some dinner items on it. My companion ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs from the happy hour menu. We were told the portion is the same as from the regular menu. It was $14. ($18 on regular menu.) It was a generous portion with three large meatballs. I opted for the Picatta Pasta at $12 and added four shrimp for an extra $6. They gave me five so I'm not sure if the chef made a mistake or was just feeling generous. I'll say the latter! The dish had tomatoes, capers, lemon, and white wine. The only thing I'd add to my taste would be pine nuts! We both totally enjoyed our meals including the bread! I forced myself to leave a little for lunch the next day and it was even better then! Comments I heard from around the dinner were equally enthusiastic about their meals, especially those who ordered the mussels. We're in town for a week and I don't usually go back to the same restaurant twice when I'm visiting a new location but my companion and I are definitely going back again before we leave. It was a Fri and a bit of busy night when we were there but our server Jillian did a great job and was super nice.

Switched to happy hour Montepulciano wine. Much better choice. The wife had the muscles, lots with good garlic bread. Also the Caesar salad with anchovies. She loved both. I had the chicken marsala. A little different from what I have had before but good. Would like to try a tomato dish but they are closed the next couple of days. Sorry no photos. PS. The Tiramisu was 5 stars!!! Very good.

Husband and I are traveling on a motorcycle from Richmond Virginia to the Grand Canyon and back…read more We'd been on the bike for a while and stopped here cause it popped up on Google Maps. The restaurant is quite large and was quite empty, except for one table in the center. I noticed post cards for sale, on top of the jewlery case. Next to the lunch counter. Interesting. We sat down and the waiter, who was very young and bubbly, brought us water and took our order: Two Cheeseburger Deluxes. It took forever to get those burgers. We were enjoying each other's company so we didn't really mind, but the wait was noticeable. What was really annoying was the one other table in the restaurant... one guy just talked and talked and talked very LOUDLY about all his buddies in town. Incessantly talked for the entire time we were there. Not the restaurant's fault, but super distracting. When our burgers finally arrived, we ate them quickly. They were ok, nothing special. We just wanted to get out. The waiter, we suspect might have been the owner's son because he seemed quite young. He was really kind and personable. Very pleasant young man! The other loud dude, he gotta go!

My son had eggs over easy, bacon and hash browns while I went with biscuits and gravy. Both meals and the cups of coffee were hot and delicious and filling.
