Fine beer, GREAT trivia! Wish there was another bar, as the line gets pretty long and jets through the center of the bar when it got really busy. Super fun theme surrounding their products, but didn't feel like there was enough variety for someone like me who is less of a hazy IPA kind of guy. Anyways, still fun vibes :)

MANAYUNK/PHILADELPHIA: Fat Lady Brewing is a colorful brewery and bar featuring their own handcrafted brews, and something very distinctive, they also highlight local Pennsylvania craft beer, and even have a full bar! They just love to support good beer and the community in a fun environment. Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed inside and they are also family friendly. We met a sweet 10 month old baby sweetheart, who was a perfect match for Brie. It warms our heart when young children are drawn to Brie and feel comfortable around dogs. Bring your own food, family, and friends.

I guess I've reached close to regular status at Fat Lady Brewing. I go nearly once a week for their Wednesday Quizzo (which starts at 7PM if you're interested). While I felt their operations were a bit shaky immediately after they took over for Bald Birds, they have really found their footing and are a great addition to main street. So, they don't have any food. Well, they have snacks for sale, but nothing big to eat. However, that is not a problem since they let you bring in anything you want from the neighborhood restaurants and there are plenty of carry out options. Beyond their own brews, they typically have a few other options on tap. Since I pretty much stick to ciders or sours when it comes to beers, I initially worried they wouldn't have anything for me, but week after week they always have an option. They also do mixed drinks! As for what to do while you are there, much like Bald Birds it is a relax and enjoy type of place. You can play games (BYO) or watch the game. When the upstairs is open, you'll have more options like foosball. I already mentioned Quizzo and keep an eye out for other programming. Staff is awesome. Friendly and easy to talk to. They occasionally have a Quizzo team (they can't win but play along) and seem to be smart too. Really no reason not to check Fat Lady out...

I stopped in for a beer after dinner in Manayunk recently. I was happy to see a new brewery open up in the area and was excited to give it a try. The tap list was good for a new brewery. Not too many options to choose from, but far from a "just starting out" list. I was a huge fan of the Vanishing Act coffee porter. It hit all the right notes of being a thick dark tasty beer, but far from overpowering. I was hoping to take some home with me but they were out of any take-home options like crowlers, so that was a little bit of a bummer for me when I was there - but hey, all that means is I get to go to the brewery again! Yay! They also offered options from guest breweries to help round out the selection, with places like Vault Brewing. And while this isn't a review for Vault, I am also a big fan of theirs - So at the very least, Fat Lady is making good friends in the industry! The person working the bar seemed like a legitimately nice person who seemed eager to talk beer with myself and everyone who popped in, which helped set a nice tone for the night as well. I like the location - right in the heart of Main Street. So there's plenty of food and shopping options surrounding Fat Lady. Do yourself a favor. Stop in for a beer if you're near Manayunk. You won't regret it!

New brewery just opened up! Taking over the spot Bald birds brewery use to occupy. The grand opening celebration is awesome! Live jazz band and amazing beers! So happy we came to the Friday celebration. Every in house beer we have tried has been fantastic, highly recommend the West Coast IPA - High Wire. Hoppy and Smooth. The environment here is warm welcoming and upbeat, will definitely be a regular at this brewery.

First time at Fat Lady!!!! Loving it so far.

Stopped in for food and beers with a group. Only had one, but it was solid beer and looked like they have a decent variety.

Ask the Community - Fat Lady Brewing

Does anyone know if renting the 2nd floor cost a significant amount of $$? Trying to book a surprise birthday here after striking out at some of the surrounding restaurants.

Hi Kaitlin - you can send an email to ashley@fatladybrewing.com and we'll send you our rates. We host many parties in the 2nd floor space. Thanks!

The burger, chicken sandwich, and pizza are all a 7+ out of 10, the burger being my favorite. It's the right size, right price, and the coated fries they serve up are so so good. And coated fries aren't even my favorite type of fry! The space is beautiful and great for groups too. I feel like it kind of honors the feel of the warehouse neighborhood it sits in. There's lots of preserved details and, aside from the steel stools and chairs you see in every farmhouse style bar, the structure itself makes it feel like the brewery could have been there for 50 years. Nothing else to say, really, except for that when it's 100 degrees outside the inside can get warm. Nothing a few cold beers can't fix.

Inviting to all, but very much a safe space for Blackness. It was what I would hope from Philly's first Black brewery. The food system was pretty cool. No Liberty Kitchen that night, but we ordered through an app and were notified when our food serviced from Corio was ready. They leave it on tray for you to pickup. The cocktail I had was very good and the bartender was friendly. The comedy show was 'eh,' I'll give it a pass. Some were funnier than others, and you could tell a few were still working on their craft. Comedy is hard. The first thing that stands out to me about Two Locals is the huge space with all kinds of amenities. Whether its a seat at the bar, grabbing a seat by a barrel, or grabbing a table for a group of any size; it has the perfect seating arrangement for you. While the brewery side only serves libations the space also features the Landing Kitchen serving all kinds of damn good food. Another plus is the huge variety of games that they have to play, including an ice breakers questions game that made for a good second date activity. The service at Two Locals is great and filled with bartenders who provide good brew suggestions. And I love that Two Locals is a brewery that goes beyond pouring IPAs while also pouring some damn good ones.. Favorite beers of mine from here include the Nubian brown ale, the Gaspar dark Mexican lager, the Riots smoked rauchbier, and the Foway farmhouse saison. For events outside of beer Two Locals features events like a comedy showcase, movie screenings, gospel karaoke, and then some. And starting in Apirl 3rd they'll also be partnering with UCity Square to have a pop-up beer garden in The Lawn.

First, I always appreciate an open-kitchen concept I feel that it bridges the gap between consumers and staff and produces a family setting.
