Holy crap. Fat Nats Eggs was that place in the strip mall that I always chuckled about but never visited. Our party of four decided to venture out in the cold on Saturday to finally try this place. We were blown away by how many people we're there, we were surprised that despite the sea of people it would only be 10/15 minutes. Right on point with the time, we were seated quickly! The menu is big but not overwhelming. It was difficult to pick one item, but I with with something basic, which I'll switch next time. I started with French toast, and wished I had gone with the pancakes- they looked incredible, French toast wasn't bad but didn't blow me away. Egg, hash browns and bacon laid ahead and it was delicious. Simple yet done right. I took over half my food to go, next time I'll probably share but then again the leftovers were still yummy. We'll be back again, especially with pricing being fair and the servings being huge! read more

Interestingly enough, Fat Nats Eggs seems to be the only breakfast spot in all of New Hope lol, this place was packed even at 9:00 am on a Saturday morning. Which I consider to be relatively early for brunch! Fat Nats has a good variety of breakfast items on the menu, I highly recommend upgrading to the hash browns, they are so buttery and golden brown. I ordered the David's Benedict (comes with corn beef) and it was just alright. The hollandaise was a little bland and the corned beef probably just doesn't go that well on a Benedict. They tried though! I also got a single pancake which was the star of the show, had a lovely almond flavor to it, very subtly sweet. My friend ordered a build your own omelet and had it with bacon, cheddar, and mushrooms. She really liked her meal. I liked the variety on the menu so I'd be open to coming back sometime to try something else. read more

Fat Nat's is so good for breakfast. I've been visiting for years and will continue to do so. Their portions are huge and the food is always consistent. My favorite item is the pork chop breakfast, it's usually cook perfectly. Comes with choice of Toast, eggs and fries- I always sub with hash browns. Hash browns are always extra crispy. I haven't had a bad meal here. Definitely recommend if you're looking for breakfast. Coffee is good and there's always someone filling it. There is usually a wait on the weekend but goes by quickly. This cute family style dinner was larger than I expected. We went with a group of 6 and there was plenty of seating, clearly a local favorite since it was consistently busy while we were there, and that was in a Friday late morning. The hostess and server were both friendly and when we offered it didn't take long for everything to come out. The American breakfast potato's were tasty with a crisp outside and soft inside. Definitely a fan! Yum yum yum in my tum tum tum is what I say about my first time at Fat Nats Eggs. We arrived around noon on a beautiful Saturday and started looking at the menu posted in the window when we noticed they closed at 1 p.m. Before we got to the door a couple approached us and the female said, " This place is great, we drove all the way from Lakeville to go here." Upon entry, we were surprised at how large the restaurant was. From the outside it didn't appear that the restaurant went back that far back. After about 5 to 7 minutes wait we were seated. It was a cool diner vibe plus seeing all the Jeff Nat Golf awards on the wall. After checking out the menu some hard decisions had to be made. I decided on the 2 eggs combo- scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese with corned beef hash, side of hash browns and one pancake. My friend had the Elmers, with two blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, and hash browns. The portions were large enough to have left overs for a whole second meal. I loved my hot chocolate with extra whipped cream and definitely will return for brunch when in the neighborhood. I am not sure I'll travel the distance like that other couple but have Nats bookmarked for breakfast in the future. The highlight was when Jeff Nat stopped by to check-in and make sure we had everything we needed. Coffee pot delivered along with gigantic water glasses do never have to flag waitstaff down. Heard a lot about this place (multiple locations in Mn) so decided to give it a try since we were close by. The inside reminded me of a cafeteria especially with the cups and plates they use. Now, at first I thought American fries was like French fries strings but they're actually breakfast potatoes (looks like red potatoes). If I had known they were breakfast potatoes I would have gotten that instead. After all, I was craving them the night before. Again, always ask here because you might be surprised. Everything was good and hashbrowns was crunchy.4/5 David's Omelette with Hollandaise sauce on the side. This is a corned hash beef omelette. Boyfriend got the sauce on the side because he hates sauce. But after trying a little dip, he liked it a lot. They give you a nice side portion of sauce so you can always drizzle on yourself. A little weird that it doesn't come with side of potatoes except for toast though. But you can always add the side for extra. 3/5 Overall a nice experience. Loved it! Visited with my parents for my mom's birthday. The waitstaff was nice but also standoffish, and we got some stares for wearing masks. But it's a classic hometown diner with tons of space inside, no-nonsense menu, and fast service. The blueberry pancakes were great! Smelled really sweet and there was plenty of butter and syrup. The bacon was kind of sad, but there were two strips like it says on the menu. The veggie omelette was cheesy and had tons of veg! It was better after we added some pepper and salt. My dad's English muffin, he said, was a little cold but somehow the butter was still melted on it. My mom got hot tea and there were tons of options for tea. A few of the dishes were pretty well-loved and had chips and scratch marks from other happy diners using them. Tons of parking, easy to find, and quick to be sat. A note, you do have to have your entire party with you to be seated. An omelette, hot tea, pancakes, and the Elmer cost us about $40. It came out fast! I'd like to sit at the diner bar next time I go for a full cute diner experience. Fat Nat's is obviously a well-loved fan fave, as it was busy at 8 am on a Saturday, and it's easy to see why. Awesome is not just a word. This WAS awesome in its best form. It was our first time at Fat Nats Eggs and we will be back tomorrow morning for breakfast. It was that good. My wife had the Jacobs Omelet with carnitas, black beans, pepper Jack cheese, and salsa verde. Ahh, the 'heat' was just right. It hits you right away and then quiets down. Did you know that they make all their sauces in house? Yes. I had the Fat Nats Omelette with chorizo sausage chunks, tomato, onion all wrapped into a bundle of goodness. I ordered hash browns since these only come with a side of toast. I had enough hash browns for 4 people. The hash browns were perfectly cooked. We sat at the counter and within the minute we had some iced water and our coffees. Quick attention. I no sooner had fixed my coffee with creamer and Splenda and "Voila! here is your breakfast". Fast customer service and fast service. All the food had just come off the grill and was steaming. Perfect blend of spices and tastes that so pleased us as we ate and as we drove away after eating. The Fat Nat's slider is fantastic as well as the huevos rancheros! Get the salsa verde on the side too-- I love SALSA! Mmmm so good. My go to for a long time was the Emily's omelette, which was also delicious! I have subbed out toast for one pancake, and the pancakes are HUGE! Super delicious! Overall, you can't go wrong! We were lucky enough to learn about this restaurant through my brother and his girlfriend. My husband wanted the best biscuits and gravy in the Minneapolis area. Nat's did not disappoint. Fat Nats is always busy, and it is okay and just what I would consider solid breakfast food. Nothing special, nothing horrible. They give you ample amounts of food. Probably because we went on a Sunday at 10AM, there was a line. We were seated in the back, and the waitress was very nice but seemed over worked. When the food came, the toast was cold, and the food seemed as it has been sitting for a while. Again, it was busy, so I want to be fair. I appreciate the quantity of food, but I would rather have less and have it be better than average. I will give them another shot, not on a Sunday.
