Nothing fancy, but a very warm and friendly place to get some good bar food. The hamburgers are very good and so are the salads.

Teays valley Fatt Patty's Food used to be amazing and super affordable but since they got bought out again it's tanked hard. Food portions are noticeably smaller and prices have gone up and the quality of the food itself has tanked. Service has always been ok, not crazy on the ambience since the remodel either. read more

Interesting place. The decor and the dining area were very plain. My 2 lunch mates both got burgers and they looked awesome. I know that is what they are known for. ' I got a wedge salad and blackened chicken. The funny thing was... the wedge salad was "presented"... it looked like they use a bottle to do a design around the edge of the bowl with vinaigrette. But.... the chicken was on a small plate looking so pitiful. They also forgot to blacken it. I am a big water drinker and our waitress made sure I had a full glass without waiting. We were traveling and this was next door to motel so we ordered, we didn't get any utensils or napkins! The food was not very good my burger was large but the tomato and onion was the size of a kids burger the lettuce was wilted! No ketchup for tater tots the patty melt was bland! It was decent. Got the philly cheese steak w/o mushrooms and onions rings and the sandwich was dry but oily at the same time? If they put cheese on it you can't taste it, and the onions/peppers are mush, pretty much all you get is a mouthful of meat and bread. Was in town for kid's Show Choir competition. Heard from friends that Fat Patty's was a place to check out. Went for a late dinner and was amazed at the selection of burgers. I had the Lava Burger and loved it. Wish I lived nearby so that I could try some of the other selections. read more

So, driving around Charleston running errands for my friends wedding it was asked did I have a preference since we needed to get something to eat. I said I was open but someplace local might be fun. So they said we've got to go to "THE Place for burgers". After driving for some time we ended up here. We arrived around the start of Happy Hour so we ordered 1/2 price appetizers! My nachos came with the usual chips, cheese, & jalapeño slices but also chili which was a nice switch but made the chips a little soggy at the end. The plate was big enough that I hadn't finished it before my Black & Bleu burger arrived. The burger was bigger than I was expecting & quite good. Every time we go to dr appointment in Huntington must stop for lunch at Fat Patty's. Great food, price,service and portions.

My Philly cheesesteak sandwitch from fat pattys was so wet and had so much slop hanging off of it I would have needed a spoon to eat it. So I tried to eat it by hand and after it fell apart I threw it in the trash. Their cook sucks, the last meal we ate had a fly cooked in the food. They will offer you a free meal to take down a bad review but then the free meal was just as bad as the first. Look at picks and video. Fat pattys sucks! read more

Pretty average. Food was OK, venue and staff were disorganized at best. It was good for a beer and burger, but nothing notable otherwise.

Stopped in here the other night Truck stop across the street... So plenty of large vehicle parking Service was excellent... Food was served fresh hot and tasted great!! Place started to get packed after we were served our food... We took our time eating relaxing and our sever wasn't pushy at all even tho we took up a table he could turn over a few times I know servers usually work mainly for tips... So for him not to rush us was great He's suggestion on food and desert was on point Justin was our server and he is an example of what customer service should be Management and owner take note you have an excellent server here and he should be recognized for him attentive service he gives to your customers Food was reasonably priced Appateizer 3 beers iced tea two entrees and two desserts $48.... Yummy yum yum!! I love everything I've ever eaten here. The place is fast, friendly, and inexpensive. The three of us (2 adults, 1 kid) can eat lunch/dinner for $25. The burgers are huge! The sweet potato fries are sprinkled in cinnamon-sugar, and have ruined any other restaurant's attempt at making them. The drinks are fantastic and not watered down. While it can get a bit noisy at times, this is a great place to take the family! read more

Great food. We first ordered the appetizer platter(forgot what its called but it has a few different kinds of appetizers on it of you can't decide what you want) and it was amazing. The potato boats were flavorful and crunchy, the cheese sticks were warm and gooey as well, some of the best i've had. The mild wings were way to hot for me though, but dipping them in the ranch helped. Although i wish they offered for you to pick which appetizers you want though on it though, that was the only downside. After that I ordered the pretzel burger with mushrooms on it and chips, although i wish i'd gotten fries instead. The patty was thick and juicy, the mushrooms were fresh and the sauce was delicious. Whatever cuts of meat they use for the patties could improve a little, but they make up for it in size. Service: Usually friendly and attentive. Sometimes it actually feels like they may be OVER-staffed, judging by all the teen/twenty-somethings wandering around like chickens with their heads cut off. Price: Affordable, and they have better deals at different times - 1/2 price appetizers 4-7 PM & 10PM-1AM, Tuesday BOGO night, and Wednesday Wings. Atmosphere: Loud, TV-filled, sports-bar feel. This is one of my favorite restaurants when I am in town. The food is great. I only have one complaint about this restaurant! I recently ate a fat Patty's when I was visiting relatives. I did not realize that they use the same fryer to fry everything in. ( I am allergic to shrimp ) I would like to recommend that the shrimp is cooked in a separate fryer. For the safety of the public! Fat Patty's is the place to take a large group of teenage/young adult men to fill them up. On Tuesdays, they have buy one get one free. That said, I'm not a teenage boy so the food really doesn't thrill me at all. When I can't wiggle out of going I get the Asian salad with chicken or French onion soup. This is definitely a locals spot. Food is pretty good. Everything came out quick. The burgers are great. Great selection and quality. I got their signature burger during my first visit and the patty melt the second time. Both were really good. The fries are crispy and fresh. The desserts are really good as well. Im a chocolate fiend so I had to go for the chocolate cake with ice cream. They have a diverse beer selection with a few local beers on draft as well. There must not be any good competition, because I didn't think the food was anything to write home about. I had a chicken cheesesteak. Mushy bread. Not much flavor. Soggy onion rings. 2 other guests with me wanted a blue cheese salad, but they were out of blue cheese dressing (it wouldn't have been crumpled blue anyway). Specialty burger joint usually use fresh beef instead of frozen 85 percent beef The flavor was ok. The cheese fries were fantastic but you come for the burger. 1st time at this restaurant, just passing thru. bun on burger was like it was just pulled out of the bag. not toasted and very dry. i pulled 2 blobs of pure fat that was supposed to be bacon. I ordered 1/2 sweet 1/2 unsweetened tea. it was way too sweet so I asked for another one. it was less sweet but not by much. didn't drink it. waitress was very friendly, and she did take the burger off my bill, so no complaints there. Of course the burgers are the best of all the food and they serve large portions. They also offer numerous appetizers to include cheese fries. Service is fairly quick and usually it is packed. Parking is usually very congested as it is located next to a hotel. The prices are very good for the large portions they serve. We eat here alot, my father in law really likes it. I've read other reviews about music being too loud, while there has never been music playing while I was there the noise seriously diminishes the experience. Sometimes the waitress even misses orders because of the noise. It's becoming a deciding factor when choosing a restaurant. Maybe some acoustic dampening decor or ceiling or something is in order?
