The hulk roll was a bit different the soft shell crab tasted like it was not fried fresh for the roll like maybe it was sitting around. I ordered a pick your own six roll. This was my first time ordering from there with Uber Eats. My order came quickly. I asked for extra washi which they ended up giving. The rolls I got were the chili tuna avocado roll, spicy salmon roll, and spicy shrimp roll as the classics. The 3 signature rolls I ended up ordering were the Fat Tuna Roll, Lucky Roll, and King of the Ocean Roll. For the classic, I didn't really like the chili tuna avocado roll because I felt like it wasn't spicy and tasted kind of basic. The spicy salmon and spicy shrimp were really good. I liked the crispy pieces on top of the raw fish. I really liked their signature rolls a lot. I liked their Fat Tuna Roll with crunchy spicy salmon, mango, seared salmon, and white tuna. The lucky roll is a must order and I would definitely order it again. I liked how it had shrimp tempura with salmon and avocado. I didn't like the King of the Ocean roll. It's a nice small neighborhood spot (if I can call it that) that serves some good and price conscious meals. I love that they have a 3 roll combo for less than $20. The spicy tuna roll is one of my main go to's and it tastes fresh every time. The shrimp tempura and Eel Avocado rolls are heavy contenders as well and if anyone has Takoyaki, it's going on my order lol. The staff is nice and accommodating if running behind. I and a friend were getting food before a concert at The Mann in Philly and decided to get Sushi up the street and this place was very clean on the inside for a sushi restaurant. It came out a little sporadically which was a little awkward for some of our party, and one of us asked for chicken tempura and got a tempura roll, but they ate it without complaining and enjoyed it just fine. I start eating the Fat Tuna Special Roll, and suddenly chew on something really hard. At first I thought it was a fish bone, so I carefully removed it from my mouth.......... but it was a tiny piece of METAL WIRE. Yes, a twisted mangled thin metal wire, about an inch long. Just speechless. This is a first. Wire???? I couldn't eat the rest of it for fear of accidentally swallowing a piece of WIRE. When we called them to inform them about it, the woman on the phone wasn't the least bit apologetic or concerned, and didn't even offer a refund. She said she'll do store credit. I'm like... this doesn't seem like a situation in which I'd eat from here again??? Ugh, never going back. read more

Tried Fat Tuna for the first time and was very pleased with the result. The food came very fast for the amount of fish we ordered on a Friday night. I had the spicy tuna roll, Phoenix roll, and Fat Tuna roll. All the rolls had an excellent ratio of fish to rice and were filled with fish! The two specialty rolls were very tasty and I really liked the spice of fat tuna roll. Fat tuna follows the rules for Covid. You'll stay safe because you won't get past the front door pretty much. Orders are only done through phone or through a service like DoorDash. We ordered sushi and ramen and the guy who took our order practically barked at us. He told us our food would take 15 minutes and it took more than 30. And the food was just all right. It wasn't horrible. It wasn't spectacular. It was just decent. So, without good service or a pleasant experience, there's no reason for me to return here. read more

The best part about coming here, is that they have something for everyone! Don't like sushi. That's okay, have the chicken teriyaki instead! Maybe you just need a beverage? This place is walking distance from our house and directly across the street from campus. The lunch special is a great deal and took just 10 minutes to prepare. This place is going to be a problem for me. It's literally across the street from my house so far I've eaten here twice, and each time I've spent over twenty dollars on lunch for one . I was happy to find a restaurant on Caviar with good reviews because l really wanted sushi and ramen soup yesterday. The meal was prepared and delivered within record time. However the meal itself was unhealthy. Everything l ordered had a massive amount of salt. Everything l ordered was spicy but spicy does not equate to SALTY. I had to dilute the broth with water in order to eat with the ramen. It was still unbearable. Only ate 1 of the chicken wings and the sushi was dry l did not dare add the "low sodium soy sauce". Normally wasabi is strong and burn your nose if u add to much. For the 1st time in my life l could not taste the wasabi. It was basically green glue. I decided to start with california rolls and shrimp tempura rolls. my first observation would have to be that its simply not enough food to fill me but I am a big guy. both of those entrees came out to $16 and barely wet my whistle. the food was standard fare sushi.
