This place is huge, with plenty of seating options. We were placed on the covered patio without being asked if we preferred inside or outside seating. It was a little chilly out there, so I was glad I had a jacket with me. The menu is incredibly expansive, and it's very cool that they offer both sushi and classic bar food. The fish and chips portion was massive and definitely a standout. Hosted our staff holiday party here last year, but went to the restaurant part for the first time the other day to eat while watching the game. We sat at the outdoor bar, which wasn't really crowded so we found a seat easily. It's pretty spacious out there with traditional tables, the bar and some high tops as seating options. Bartender automatically came over to greet us and see what we would want for drinks. They had a fall drink menu, so I tried the mule that was on that list, which I liked! Still had the fizz and taste of a mule but the hint of cinnamon and other fall-based ingredients did make it feel a bit more seasonal. The food was good too. I was originally going to try the Nashville chicken sandwich but, based on recommendations from the bartender, I went with the Buffalo Chicken flatbread instead. It was served hot, fresh and a good size portion. The taste was there and good distribution of chicken throughout the entire flatbread. I took a bit of his entree (the burger) which was cooked well, tasty and also a good size portion. Cool, chill spot with some good bar food options. Will be back again. read more

I went here for restaurant week with some friends and had a good time. The staff were all wonderful. The restaurant week food was overall quite good. Both appetizer options (mushroom pastry and pear and ricotta crostini) were delicious. The salmon and corn risotto was amazing. The salmon was perfectly cooked not dry at all. The pappardelle pasta with the short rib was ok. It was extremely oily and I wish I got more meat in it. Compared to the salmon this did not compare at all. I also noted that there was no vegetarian main option for the restaurant week menu so one of our friends could not participate. The corn dip was not on the restaurant week menu but was quite delicious and would 10/10 recommend. I had a Pinot Grigio which was crisp and light not too sweet. The lemon posset tasted closer to a sweet pudding with a little bit of a lemon taste than a true posset. I wish it tasted more lemony and I wish there was a little tartness to it. 35 for 3 courses and a drink included I found was quite reasonable. The weather was nice however there were a few persistent bees. read more

Another good bar in Manayunk. I'm sad they don't brew their own beer anymore. I usually only go on days they have sushi because it's so good. Their other food is your standard bar bites, but nothing on the regular menu tops the sushi. read more

They have a few unique offerings, especially considering at first glance it's a place that would only serve bar food -- most notably zucchini parmesan fries and sushi! Went to this place after the Manayunk art festival & was surprised to see how many available tables there were. They had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, with a large bar! We got seated quickly and received our drinks fairly quick as well. The star of the night were the Bavarian Soft Pretzels (ate them too quickly & didn't get a picture)! We opted for only a side a beer cheese and the pretzel and beer cheese were a delightful combo! My partner got the classic burger which was a bit charred and cooked more than what he asked. The fries were pretty tasty. I got the krooks assorted rolls (crunchy spicy tuna, salmon avocado, yellowtail scallion). The fish was very fresh and the rolls were quite tasty. Unfortunately there were no scallions in my yellowtail scallion roll, so that was a bit disappointing. Once we got our food, our server barely checked on us and we honestly didn't even see him much. We had to flag down other servers for our check and to go boxes. Overall it was an okay experience and would mainly come back for just the pretzels. read more

Came here for the first time on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. There wasn't many people inside which was nice and relaxing for our lunch! We got the burger special which includes a smashed patty with all of the fixings, chips (or upgrade to fries/salad for $1.50), and a 12 oz beer for $13. You really can't beat that deal! Have been coming to Manayunk Brewing for years. Always a great time here and the food options are solid. The beers are great as to be expected, and pro tip -- if you love sushi then this is your place. The place is big enough for multiple vibes too. The indoor section is large plus two big outdoor patio options. Today was a little bit of a struggle though. The kitchen seemed to be sending orders out pretty slow, got our food mixed up and then the specialty salmon burger (not pictured) came out way too salty. I ordered the Crispy Pork Belly tacos (pictured here) and definitely was surprised with how they came out. It was more like a bacon or Canadian bacon taco then the traditional pork belly style/cut. Not bad, but definitely not what I was expecting. The appetizers came out nicely though, just took a while to get there. I think overall, this was a subpar night and I've definitely been here on better days. I will look forward to coming back to update my review when that happens. read more

I will start off by stating the food was good. The service on the other hand was the worst I have ever had in my life . 20 minutes before my server who had a mostly empty section continued to look at me and my daughter and continue to ignore us. Not until I went up and complained to the host did, they (Charles) come over. Our orders were forgotten and he was pretty much non existent for the rest of our meal. This is normally my go to spot in manayunk. I have been coming here the last few years and normally enjoy it a lot. My meal yesterday was disappointing. We sat outside which is always great! Love the patio and being able to see the river. There was a live band which was very fun. The staff was friendly and attentive. The street corn dip was very delicious, and I would highly recommend ordering it. The Kennett square flat bread was a backup order because they ran out of the vegetable ravioli. It came out a little overcooked and the board was dirty that it came out on. The classic burger was ordered medium well, but was cooked to a char. It was almost hard to eat. The fries were great and the beer was cold. While I wasn't happy with the food overall, I love this place and will definitely come back. The tacos are usually always amazing. read more

this place was the dinner spot of choice for myself and a couple friends on this saturday evening. the service was a bit slow but we were patient as it was a bit busy at the time and i believe there was also a wedding event going on in the other room. the downeast fall cider was delectable and a great little festive drink for fall. the mozzarella squares were very good, nothing of note as i believe it's almost impossible to mess up mozzarella sticks/squares but overall a great app option they have. the philly cheesesteak flatbread was kinda mid- it was very dry and slightly lacking in flavor. it was pretty much just melted cheese on a dry flatbread, which on its own isn't bad, but for what it was supposed to be, was a bit disappointing. the kennet square flatbread was better in terms of flavor but also still kinda dry. the smashburger was a bit small along with the fries on the side but was overall pretty good and was cooked well. i think overall this place is one of the best options in town for grabbing drinks and a bite with friends and has a very lively, fun vibe especially on a Saturday evening. The food itself was just alright but for the fun lively vibes of this establishment, I'd consider coming back for drinks and apps. read more

Manayunk Brewery is awesome. Their happy hour menu is by far one of the largest you'll see in Manayunk due to them including both their sushi and regular menus. The food is delicious! I haven't been able to stop thinking about the corn dip since I had it and the sushi was great too. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, for dinner with your friends or family but also a great spot for larger groups. (Which tracks as I have a company happy hour later this week lol.) My waitress was kind but she could have been a bit quicker checking up on us so I did sit needing a refill for a bit but nothing heinous by any means. While the happy hour prices were a decent knock off of the regular price, I do still think the sushi prices are a bit high but I guess since it's a nicer atmosphere they can get away with it. Either way I'll absolutely be coming back! read more

Just okay. Over the summer my family and I went to Manayunk's Street Food Festival and all the lines were CRAZY so we ended up eating here instead. It was my first time her but probably my last. There's really no wow factors at this restaurant for me, maybe just the patio seating. I did enjoy the band that preformed while we were there but that's about it. The food was average at best. The drinks were nothing to rag on about and the service was probably the most disappointing of all. Not sure if our sever was having a difficult day, but her attitude sucked! I normally try to not allow things like that to ruin my experience but it did. She won. I have no intentions on returning ever. Nor will I recommend it. read more

For my high school reunion last night, Manayunk Brewing Company was the perfect venue. I couldn't have asked for a more accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable team supporting us and the event. Rich's cooking was phenomenal - I'd come back for dinner knowing he'd be my chef! It was clear to me that he puts heart into the food he cooks. He was able to clearly explain to me the dietary restrictions each date met, and he plated each dish beautifully. I received many compliments about the food throughout the evening. He is a rockstar! Arielle was the perfect bartender to work our reunion. She was cool, calm, and collected even when 24 additional people showed up above the number we were expecting. Not once did I hear a complaint about getting a drink or closing out a tab. Arielle even hung up garland around the event space to create ambiance for the night. Deyna held my hand throughout all the planning. I called her very anxious about booking a venue after struggling to find the right place, and she was calm and helpful. She answered my many calls and emails and even printed signs to go with the food explaining what each thing was and if it was veg/gf at my request. She helped me select the right package for the event and was a great partner in selecting the menu and ensuring we had the right amount of food. We truly could not have pulled this off without her. She was calm and reliable the night of, as well, when we had 24 more people than expected show up. Deyna made planning this event a smooth process. All in all, I am so thankful for this team of people who helped us pull off a great ten year reunion. Came here for an annual event with some girlfriends. We sat by the water which was lovely as there was a nice breeze. All exposed tables have umbrellas which is perfect for sunny days. The drinks were delicious although they were out of an ingredient for two of the ones I really wanted to try. I can recommend the Summer in Kentucky (bourbon cocktail; my only gripe is it had more ice than drink but still good, my friends versions looked much better so I think it was just a one off), Schuylkill punch and espresso martini. The table shared a bunch of apps; all tasty (crab dip, zucchini fries and fried pickles). The dipping sauces were very good. Love a good condiment. My friend and I split the new chicken honey mustard pita sandwich and the fish tacos. Both amazing in their own way. I got fries on the side; beer battered and crispy, like kfc's fries. Yum! I had a side of the cajun aoli from the fried pickles to dip them in. Perfect combo. The rest of the group got salads (beet and ahi tuna), the smash burger and beef skewers. All generous portions. The skewers were a bit too chard for my friend. I made sure to save room for dessert for once as the tiramisu was calling me. So worth it with an espresso martini to wash it down. Our server, Autumn, was the perfect amount of attentiveness and very patient with us. A gratuity of 18% was added to the bill due to party size which was fine. Towards the end of the meal she asked if we wanted anything else and when we said dessert she said she'd have to check with the kitchen first as they were getting ready to close, same with the bar for the martini. All worked out in the end, but I wish she would of said something to us sooner as a heads up, like "it's getting close to last call for food and drink". Overall a great evening. Food trucks on site during the evenings/dinner. The drinks are great and they always have some non beers drinks for the non beer people. Food: Basic bar styled food but I would say its on the better end! Came here with a small group of friends to enjoy the day with some nice food and drinks- the food was all delicious, I ordered a nice and juicy burger and was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, I found my drink to be absolutely terrible. I ordered a margarita and originally, I thought there must've just been a mistake and asked if the waitress can order me another one since the original one seemed extremely watered down. To my surprise, the second order was exactly the same and I felt like it was definitely a waste of of money. Cost: Everything was decently priced- nothing too crazy expensive. Environment: Due to COVID, they have seem to have been following regulations of limiting people with seating. They were fortunate enough have such a beautiful outdoor seating option and so my friends and I were all seating outside comfortably- there were umbrellas to provide some nice shade as well since it was a bit sunny the day we went! Service: The service was a tad slow- not sure if it was because of the decreased staff/waiter/waitresses but eventually we all got our food and enjoyed our time there nevertheless. I'm seriously hovering between a two and three stars, here's why. Let me first say this: I don't f around in Manayunk because I can not stand the twists and turns of the streets around there. How can a street run both ways but only be big enough for one car at a time to pass through? (is there a Manayunk listing I can go rant on?) In any event, the thought of coming here did not excite me but I was pleasantly surprised one, to find ample parking and two, the scenery. Hot as I was and sweating many bullits I was happy to be overlooking the river and watching people pass by on the bridge above. Good thing too because once we were seated no one, not one soul paid attention to us for almost 15 minutes. There were other tables being tended too and there was a large gathering of staff at the bar chatting and sipping beverages. Finally, a girl who was taking care of the people next to us wanders over and asks if anyone was helping us. We don't have menus, we don't have drinks? I could have gotten very flippant here but I restrained myself. My sister, the responsible one for dragging me here ordered a Caribbean punch and the lemon grilled chicken. Hers arrived before mine and it smelled divine. I got the All Day Stout (limited options, you know why) and a Poke Bowl. I asked them to keep the onions away and while they did do exactly that I found the bowl lacked other ingredients that were listed in the description. There were no scallions. I love scallions. Scallions are technically onions so I forgave this but they are listed as two separate ingredients. There was no siracha at all and the dish cold have benefited from the heat. Instead I got a side of wasbi. How was I to incorporate that into the dish cohesively. A sauce would have made better sense. They were also pretty conservative with the avocado and cucumbers. We had a decent server, but everything else about the place is lacking. Vibe: soulless sports bar w/ dim lighting. Beverages w/ or w/o alcohol are expensive for what you get, and my mocktail was priced the same as an alcoholic one. The only food I tried was the fried pickles and they tasted unremarkable; bland pickle, batter, and dip, and we maybe got 12 dinky slices which is laughable. Watch out fellow Yunkers , Manayunk Brewing Company fires Special Education Teachers in the middle of Summer just because they do not like this server and decided to blame in on an incident with a Celebrity at the restaurant. About two weeks ago my dear friend and I came in on a Wednesday all dressed up in the pouring rain , very excited to have a night on the town. Our server greeted us with a giant smile on her face. This server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu when it came to the food and drinks. We loved the food and drinks this server recommended. As she bought us another round of drinks , we asked this server about the flood and she even went as far to show pictures during a busy dinner rush. This server could not have been more delightful and knowledgeable about everything Manayunk. When the Server dropped off our bill she revealed to us that she just finished her first year as a Special Education Middle School Teacher and this server had mentioned how tough her first year was and how happy she was to be serving in the summer. As fellow teachers ourselves we exchanged contact information with this server to request her when we came back and to be a resource for this server in her teaching career. I reached out to this server to see when she was working to bring my party of teacher friends in for a nice dinner so we could request her. This server stated that she was fired last week due to being unprofessional with a Celebrity that was in the restaurant and issues with Management. She stated management was upset she had brought in her friends to see said Celebrity but in reality those friends sat at the bar and drank multiple signature cocktails and then said hi to the Celebrity. I do not see the issue with this server bringing in paying customers? Is that against the rules or anywhere in the employee handbook? When I asked this server what had happened she was extremely upset and blindsided. Don't you think if you have an issue with a server that has been there 3 years , you would talk to this server. This server stated the issues her and management had and under no circumstances should this server have been fired. No warning , No infractions , No suspension, No probation ... It does not make sense to me. I am sad to see such an amazing waitress who seemed genuinely happy to be there , be fired over such nonsense. I am sure none of Management has ever stepped foot inside a Special Education Classroom because if they have ,they would have been more empathetic across the board as it is the hardest job in the book. I will never be stepping foot again in this restaurant and I hope this company realizes what a horrible decision that was. This server deserves the world and wherever she ends up we will follow her. It sounds like management has had it out for her .Such a shame Manayunk Brewing Company . Please do better and show some loyalty to your employees. read more

Update....... the menu has changed drastically from the last time I was there (3 yrs ago). There wasn't much to choose from. I ordered the Main Street poutine (braised short ribs w/fries and cheese). It looked tasty, but it was too salty. I couldn't eat it much. We also ordered the chicken and shrimp penne that was in the phone menu and they did not have that available. The best thing was the spinach artichoke dip (which shouldn't be the only best thing we ordered). However, the service and atmosphere is terrific (which is why I gave 3 stars instead of 2). I would only come here for the outdoor seating, cocktails, and the dip. I hate to give this pace only 3 stars this time, but the menu needs to change back to the way it was, or more choices need to be added. read more

What a lovely place! We went to the manayunk brewery to have brunch, and I must say, this is a place you need to come to. While they still may be getting over hurricane Ida, it's still a very nice place to come to. Their kegs are still damaged, so any original craft beer won't be ready until they get that fixed. They still have a nice choice of beers to offer you. This was my first time to Manayunk, and it was pretty easy to get to. Straight run down the Schuylkill, and you're right there. For starters, we ordered the mango wings, the zucchini fries, and the corn dip. Each appetizer was delicious. The mango wings were a little too wet but they were very tasty. The zucchini fries with the dill dressing were really good and worth a second try. The corn dip was the star for me. You got homemade chips with this corn crab, cheese dip that was out of this world! We ordered drinks. I tried a sample of the milk stout, which wasn't sweet enough for me. My friends ordered an old fashioned, and a citrus IPA, which tasted pretty good. For the entrees I ordered the Osaka roll, and my friends ordered, the mushroom pizza, the tuna salad, and the steak salad. I want to say the steak salad was the best of the lot, but the other entrees were awesome as well. My Osaka roll came with bang bang sauce which was really good and really paired nicely with it. The tuna salad had thinly cut slices of tuna in it, and they were cooked really well. Not to overdone. The mushroom pizza was delicious! I don't think any entree was a miss! We ended the meal with churros and coffee, and I must say I really had an enjoyable meal here. I would definitely come back here again when they're when their brewery is back up and running and you can get fresh beer here. Sorry about not writing down the prices, but it's pretty reasonable here. Think 50 bucks a person with drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert with coffee. If you're in the Manayunk area, I definitely recommend coming here. It's a 5 out of 5! The ambiance is beautiful being next to a river and it's just a nice vibe sitting outside soaking up the area, with a nice drink in your hand. The service was really attentive and nice. Our waiter, Charles was so attentive and stopped by multiple times to check on us. Honestly he was the best part of the meal. The only poor rating I would give was to the hostess. She was rude and dismissive. She barely glanced at me and literally waved her hand at me, shooing me toward the outside deck when I said I was meeting someone who was already there. You seriously should think about who you select as the face of your restaurant, because honestly, had my godfather not already arrived before me - I 100% would have turned around and left based on that impression. read more

They went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process to make sure everything went smoothly. The servers, bartenders, and the rest of the staff all were courteous and helpful.
