Very disappointing experience. Food changed dramatically since the last time we were here. The pitas were not grilled and almost seemed like they warmed with a microwave and were still wet. The french fries were completely changed from fresh cooked to something that resembled frozen fries or something processed. The prices went up significantly as well and overall service was just bad. No one checks on us, no one delivers the check and food plates were literally thrown on the table almost landing in my husbands lap. read more

Delicious authentic middle eastern food. The Sabich was filling and unique as most places don't have this (fried eggplant, hard boiled eggs, pickles, hummus, etc) and the Shwarma in pita perfectly cooked. Had opportunity to attend a dinner party with over 20 people. The staff is attentive, food is excellent, and they are able to accommodate both large and small parties. The rating is not for the food itself, which is good, actually the best Med food we've had while staying in Phoenix. No, the real reason I gave this restaurant 3 stars are the prices, which are exorbitant for such small portions. Add in the menu pictures online, which show mountains of food, and I think it comes dangerously close to false advertising. Example: the Moroccan Cigars (essentially Med taquitos). The picture shows a pile of at least 12 individual portions but the order contains exactly four measly pieces, and all for the bargain price of $9.95. On what planet do four taquitos cost $10? Another example: the beef kebabs (we wanted lamb but all they had was beef). The online picture shows at least five juicy looking pieces, but the order contained exactly two, a real bargain at $22.95. I could go on, but what's the point? If the prices were cut by 50% we'd put this place in our rotation because the food is actually pretty good. But there's no way to justify paying $23 for two small beef kebabs, a scoop of rice, and a bunch of soggy fries. Save your hard-earned cash for Bowl of Greens, which isn't quite as good but at least you can feed two people for what Fata charges for one. read more

We came up from Tucson for the grand opening of this restaurant. We were excited for another kosher restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is modern and comfortable but a bit on the noisy side. You can eat inside or outside. We started with the hummus which was supposed to come with falafel and chick peas on top but came with a hard boiled egg and no falafel. They did bring the falafel later when we asked. The pita bread was like eating a delicious cloud; warm and fluffy. The hummus was perfect. We also tried the rolled cigars with beef. For a main entree we tried the chicken shawarma, hot mushroom salad and falafel in pita with fries. All the portions of everything is huge. You can easily share any dish, including having an appetizer as a main dish. Unfortunately they were out of some items like rice, some sushi rolls and some desserts. No big deal. We will be sure to come again once they are up and running for a while. This is a restaurant with excellent kosher food. read more

Great disappointment here for lunch , baguette was crumbling and stale, the shredded beef was 'mystery meat' unrecognizable, tasteless, grisly,the hummus was watery and may have been mixed with mayo. The ice tea was good,the tiny salad was OK. The price for this 'meal' was extrodinarily high. This restaurant is GREAT!! Nice people. Good service. Great food. Down to earth. My wife and I were in Scottsdale for a visit. Found this Kosher restaurant and decided to give it a try. We arrived at opening on Sunday. They were almost immediately busy - people coming in for brunch, lunch and take out. The servers were nice, courteous and helpful. Hummus, chicken skewers, and Pita Lachmajoon. All tasted great. Each serving size is enough for two! Although we couldn't finish everything, the servers were happy to provide us with some containers to go. Like I said: Great place, great people, and great food. Family oriented too. This was the worst restaurant I have ever been to. I ordered a Falafel on Pita to go. When I got home it was 1/2 pita with black burnt falafel tiny balls in it. The bag was socked. It had greasy french fries in it. I was concerned because the couple leaving spent $100 for the 2 of them a small child. He replied the lamb was dry & horrible. The young cashier said nothing. And he even said to her you going to ignore me. Then there was a cockroach on the counter. Horrible restaurant. And my Falafel was $15 not including a tip. After the 15 minute wait with zero acknowledgment, I finally got up and asked for someone to bring us some water. I asked whether the avocado rolls had fish or are vegetarian, and was told they just have avocado. Great - I ordered that. But I got the avocado egg rolls. Understandable mistake, so I ate the egg rolls. They were ok, but bland. Thankfully, the sauce was good. We ordered pita and hummus - very very bland and the pita is not served warm. We had a kids hot dog - how can you mess that up? The hot dog was dry and wilted like it had been sitting in the cooker about an hour too long. The fries were delicious at least. Finally, we ordered the chocolate cake on the menu, but they had none. Our server and the assistant/busboy were very pleasant and we would have loved them had they not been so chatty with other patrons.
