I think one of the cooking staff brought it out and basically just tossed it on the table. Maybe the hot plate was burning him, but I'm not sure. Just felt a little off. Food was solid. Our first time at Isabella's was a busy Saturday night - we had a reservation at 6 and were seated right away indoors. We started with the mixture of Italian olives and shrimp ceviche. Both were delicious. The olives were classic and the shrimp ceviche was light and fresh. I opted for the twisted chicken Parm. Boy was the portion size huge! The chicken was cooked great - not dry at all and the pasta was perfectly al dente. It was even topped with lots of creamy burrata. My husband ordered Deb's pasta and thought it was delicious as well. It was pretty rich with the creamy Parmesan sauce. We both had leftovers to bring home! I have been to this restaurant many times and every time, I leave wanting to come back. I always love sitting on the patio, looking out over the golf course while the sun goes down. I went the other night for my best friends birthday and we had the most amazing time. We had a large party and we were able to get a reservation on the patio by the fire. It was our own private little space which was great since we had lots of gifts and grandparents with us. All of the drinks, appetizers, and food came out timely and delicious. My only complaint was how strong my espresso martini was. It was so strong I did not end up drinking it. We got the brussel sprouts and they were perfectly cooked and had a delicious sauce on the side. Multiple people at the table got the Lasagna and Debs Pasta and both were a hit! Isabella's was recommended by my friend so we tried it on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't very busy but we were a group of 4 adults and two children so we were initially seated outside around the fire pit. It had been raining for days so we asked if the furniture would be dry and they said yes. After sitting for a few minutes, our clothes unfortunately got wet so although the seats seemed dry at first, they weren't so we were moved to another table, also outside. There are heaters, so it was comfortable to hang out outside despite the cold. The menu had pretty good options but we weren't super hungry so we just ordered a couple of appetizers and a personal pizza. We ordered the focaccia bread and fried calamari as well as a personal size gluten free margarita pizza. Calamari was great. Crispy batter and not chewy. The dipping sauce was also delicious. The focaccia was not great. It was dense and chewy, not what you would expect for focaccia which is usually light and the dough is full of bubbles prior to baking. It was more like a slightly undercooked cake. The seasoning on it however was delicious. The pizza was great! if I didn't know it was gluten free, I wouldn't be able to tell just based on taste. It was a thin and crispy and the cheese and sauce were really tasty. Prices were ok overall and service was pretty good and attentive. The views while sitting outside are beautiful. You can see the golf course nearby and lots of green grass everywhere. It's definitely a nice spot worth trying. read more

I really like the ambiance of Isabella's Kitchen. It's a gorgeous restaurant. The outside patio and grass is perfect for kids and families to enjoy or relax and eat. The environment is the most family friendly I've seen. The drinks were nice as well. Unfortunately, I thought the food was somewhat bland and a good amount of people in our party did not like their dishes. While our server was very nice, it did feel as if we were neglected. Food came at all different times and very late for some people. They were quite late to take any food orders and never checked that we had silverware, drinks, etc. read more

We love Isabella's! Its near my parents place in Arizona, so we always pay Isabella's a visit when we're in town. We've been coming for years, but now that we have a toddler it's even more fun. Isabella's has a beautiful lawn overlooking the golf course and in the evenings it such a fun spot to bring the kiddos to run around. It is extremely family friendly (especially between 5 and 7:30pm)! The servers are all great. Whether it be a large group or lots of kiddos, they always are on top of it and very friendly. My go-to drink is typically a spicy margarita -- it's always got a great kick to it. The wagyu burger is my favorite, it's topped with cheddar, arugula, caramelized onions, roasted mushrooms, and garlic aioli. The menu can be a little hit or miss, but this is a great one! Isabella's is awesome. Can't wait to be back in Arizona to pay them another visit. read more

I made 9 calls to Isabell's Kitchen starting at 9:22pm. Every single time it went to voice mail. My last call was at 9:22pm when I finally gave up. Maybe I'm wrong but it says on their website they close at 10pm. Very disappointing that Isabella's Kitchen ignores customers who are trying to order a meal before they close. It doesn't say on their website website that the kitchen closes at 9pm I guess they don't the business now that the snowbirds are here and the locals who eat there in the summer are ignored. My friend and I visited Isabella's Kitchen on a Monday evening around 6:00 PM. The restaurant was fairly slow throughout our entire visit, so we expected attentive service. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. After being seated, Rafael introduced himself as our server. I ordered a Coca-Cola with a side of lemon, and my friend ordered a tea. It took about 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. When my friend tasted her tea, she felt it was very weak and politely asked Rafael if there was anything he could do. His response was that making a new tea would take him 10 minutes, as if that was a reason not to replace it. Considering we had just sat down and would obviously be there longer than 10 minutes, the response felt dismissive and made us uncomfortable for simply asking. We decided not to push the issue and placed our food order. After that, Rafael was largely absent from our table until our food arrived. He checked on us once, and I asked for a refill on my Coca-Cola. Rather than bringing a fresh drink, he asked me to hand him my cup so he could refill it. I found that unusual, as most restaurants simply bring a new glass. He then disappeared again for another 7-10 minutes before returning with the refill. When he finally brought my drink back, the lemon I had originally requested was missing. Normally, that wouldn't be a huge deal, but by that point the service had already been so poor that it was another detail that stood out. To be honest, after having my cup taken away and given the overall attitude we had experienced, I didn't even feel comfortable drinking from it. Later, my friend asked for a tea refill. Rafael made a point of telling her that it would be the exact same tea. She simply responded that she was fine with that and just wanted a refill. The comment felt unnecessary and awkward. Strangely, this time he brought her a brand-new cup instead of taking the original one away, which made the inconsistency even more confusing. Throughout the meal, it felt like we were inconveniencing our server every time we asked for something. We actually looked around for a manager because we wanted to request a different server, but we couldn't find one and weren't about to ask Rafael to send a manager over. To top it all off, once we finished our meal, Rafael brought the check without ever offering a dessert menu or asking if we were interested in dessert. It felt less like hospitality and more like he was trying to rush us out the door. The most disappointing part of the entire experience was that there was no obvious reason for the attitude. We were polite, patient, and respectful throughout our visit. We weren't making unreasonable requests--we simply wanted basic customer service. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the meal. If you decide to dine at Isabella's Kitchen, I sincerely hope your experience is better than ours. Based on our visit, Rafael made us feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, and like a burden for asking for standard drink service and refills. That is not the experience I expect when dining out, especially in a restaurant that wasn't busy. read more

The experience I had was very poor. To begin, the service was average. The server began by bringing the wrong wine to the table. The next was the food. We began with lobster appetizers. It was terrible. Looked nice, but was not able to eat do to it tasted terrible. The next was the chopped chicken salad. I sent it back. There was hardly anything chopped in it. There was supposed to be chicken, avacado, chick peas, onions. Hardly any in the salad, just lettuce and kale. For $23.00 and no flavor was a terrible entre. Am I at Outback or Isabella's? Bring back the old vibe! I walked in and had to do a double take... am I at Outback waiting on a Bloomin' Onion, or at Isabella's on the golf course? The staff here is awesome -- seriously, they're the reason people keep coming back. But this new uniform change? I honestly hope it's a practical joke and they go back to the old attire soon. Isabella's has always had a relaxed, golf course vibe -- not a country club and definitely not an average steakhouse. The black pants, Izzy's t-shirts, and hats looked clean, modern, and fit the setting perfectly. Now the poor team's stuck in jeans and white button-ups (complete with marinara stains), while managers are in golf shirts and slacks -- which actually look on point. Please bring back the old uniforms! Going there should be fun, relaxed versus stuffy and the team walking around with visible stained shirts. ‍ read more

Took my family out to dinner here Wednesday night. What happened to Isabella's? Are you all under new management or something? Such an enormous drop off in everything, but especially service and food. We arrived early around 4:45pm, and all the outside fire pit tables were unoccupied but filled with dirty dishes. We waited about 15 minutes and just went to the bar to order. We did eventually get a server to come by and got the food order in. Our table became ready in the regular seating area, so we grabbed a seat there and had food transferred. Ended up sending back cacio e Pepe because the top layer of the noodles was hard and crunchy. It must have been sitting under the heat lamp forever. Ordered ravioli instead, and honestly I wish we would have sent that back too. The pasta on the ravioli was so thick. And they changed the kids mac n cheese. My kiddo wouldn't eat it so I tried it. It literally tasted of absolutely nothing. It's a wheat noodle which is a tough sell for kids anyway, but like nothing nothing flavor. Server never came back after dessert, tried requesting payment through a different server who offered to find our server. I just stood around the bar area trying to get wrapped up. Ugh everything was so disappointing and I'm just wondering if this is how this place is now? Bad night? This has been a family favorite for years, but I would probably choose something else next time around. read more

5 STAR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I was panicking when I could not find a place to make a reservation almost 3 months out for my daughter's first communion and Isabella's (Teagan) jumped right on it! We came in to get more information and see what they could do and front desk staff was so nice, gave us a tour and ensured us we would be called by end of day. And we were! We went back to secure our reservation and to try their food- we ate lunch on the patio and it did not disappoint- the food or the scenery!!! Food was so good, staff were so friendly and my daughter loved running around with all the other kids in the grass. We've loved Isabella's for many years. The best part is the upbeat, friendly, and smiling faces of the staff. Nothing like stopping in after a long day or after a round of golf. However, it feels that management is growing out of touch with what customers are looking for in a relaxed, just-off-the-course casual vibe that has made this place so memorable. For instance, the new stuffy, tucked in, white, long sleeve shirts with fanny packs are terrible. It seems they took a swing to try and upscale, but it is not needed or desired by their loyal customers. Most feel like it's cheapened the experience. Customers who want the cowboy jeans and button down experience are welcome to Quill Creek. I'd hate to lose this as a regular spot.
