The shake wasn't anything memorable but if you love ice cream you'll be content with it. It's a walk up counter, place your order and find a place to sit in the food court area. Foodcourtish between the convention rooms & casino so we can sit without feeling rushed to leave. It's the 1/3lb Single & the Crispy Chicken Sandwich - both with fries. The burger came out well done - I'm more rare/med rare but considering it comes out smashed I just hope it's not overly salted(it wasn't). The toppings gave it back some of the moisture. It had great flavor. The Chicken Sandwich was tender, not dry and had great taste. So decent lunch, reasonably priced for the location. read more

I was so excited when I heard Fatburger was coming to Albuquerque. I grew up in southern California and I loved this place, I even prefer it to In N' Out (yeah, I went there). So I decided after work to drive to Isleta and experience the burger I've missed so much. I so wanted this to be amazing, but the service want that great and the burger is not the same. First you enter the casino and inhale that awful stale cigarette smell (why is that even allowed anymore??). But when you get to the Fatburger, sandwiched between Panda Express and Ristas, you can finally breath. There was a small line and I happily got in it, to gaze upon the menu. Some things have changed, or they simply have different offerings at this location. I saw no mention of hot dogs and the baby fat was not on the menu. But that didn't matter, cause I wanted a Fatburger with cheese, mayo, lettuce, and tomato, with a side of fat fries. I finally get to the register and they have to clean up a spill, so I continue to wait. Finally I'm ready to place my order. I ask for a Fatburger with cheese and the cashier asks which one. It's now called, "The Original." Then before I tell him what I want on it, he first wants my add ons (add ons are extra toppings you pay extra for, the basics - mayo, mustard, pickles, relish, lettuce, and tomatoes, all come on it - if you want it). I add cheese and make it a meal with fat fries and a Mr. Pibb. Then he wants to know what I don't want on my burger (a little confusing). So I tell him no mustard, pickles, relish, it onions. I pay and get my pager. My pager goes off a short time later and I go to pick up my food, the staff looks at me and asks if they can help me? I show them the pager and they say they are still waiting on my fries. They seemed a bit annoyed and I was more annoyed since they were the ones to page me. So I continued to wait and finally it's ready. I sit down and quickly notice everything I said I didn't want on my burger is on my burger, along with everything I wanted on my burger. ‍ I don't feel like complaining, so I scrape off as much as possible and dig in. I even check the receipt, and it clearly states no mustard, onions, pickeles, or relish. I'm not sure what's different (although I get a little taste of leftover mustard, and I absolutely hate mustard!), but the burger isn't the same as the Fatburger I've loved all these years. Don't get me wrong, it's a good burger, it's just not the Fatburger I remember. The fat fries are good as always. I finish my food and leave, somewhat disappointed. I will try it again, maybe in a month or so, hopefully the kinks will be worked out, and I'll get the burger the way I order it. read more

This place is brand new, so we had to visit. I ordered the Skinny Burger with No Mayo, sweet potato fries and a Tea. My husband had the Original Burger, regular Fries, and a Mr. Pibb The burger was so delicious! The Skinny Burger is set with 2 patties and all the fixings between. It was a tad on the greasy side, but the meat is fresh and hand pressed. I loved how the menu clearly showed what was on each burger. We have a choice of cheeses and buns, including Wheat and Gluten Free. The sweet potato fries were seasoned perfectly, but there was an issue. Some of the fries didn't seem to be cooked thoroughly, so I had some bites of raw potato. It's easily overlooked for the quality. Last thing I do have to say is that the price is a little high, but the quality is there to back it up! read more

My first time trying Fatburger. Of course the lines were long since it's new to NM. The options did not disappoint. I know Fatburger is s National chain so they may not know the difference in the spelling and different types of chili (similar to hormel) and Chile which is our delicious green or red Chile spicy and hot in flavor. Despite being a National chain, now that they are in NM and serving green Chile on burgers, I vote they correct their sign to properly represent what is being served and to help distinguish the difference. Knowing the difference is about as elementary and basic expectations of knowing how to properly spell Albuquerque. Moving on... The flavor and layers on this burger were divine! However I was disappointed that the bun was not toasted, especially to support this monstrosity of a burger. It's basic facts that a toasted bun not only is delicious but also helps protect the bun from being a soggy sponge and hold up a little better and longer while you enjoy your burger. With it not being toasted, it quickly sighed up, feel apart and lost its appeal. Also confusing was when we all ordered our green Chile and various toppings and ingredients for our burger, the 3 of us were startled to have the green Chile served in the side in a little plastic container. (We're still scratching our heads on this one). Do they not know the delicious greatness of putting some green Chile on the grill to heat it up and pile it on the delicious layers of cheese and other burger goodness? I was excited to try Fatburger for the first time when it opened in Isleta casino. They were pretty busy the day that I went but that's still no excuse for the horrible service. I got my pricey burger meal and it was pretty good. I went back to Fatburger in October and they weren't hardly busy at all that afternoon so I went ahead and went in and ordered me a Fatburger meal. I wondered to myself again why these employees are so mean and rude? I was polite as possible and they are just horrible. The customer service was just awful. I get the lines were long & it's not easy getting everyone's order ready in just a few minutes but as least let us know what's going on. As we were waiting in line, the grill reached its capacity of burgers so they stopped taking orders until the caught up. They didn't say a word, they were just standing there talking, messing around with the girls making milkshakes & being unprofessional. When I went to order the lady kept talking over me, not letting me get a word out. After that mess, we got our food & the burger itself was actually really good. The flavor was there & for only putting mayo, cheese, & onions it was really good (btw adding cheese is an additional cost). This is a review for a visit on 4 Jan 2020. I have had Fatburger in Las Vegas, so this isn't just a normal review, but also a comparison of what I have had before. The "new" eating area at Isleta, where the Fatburger is located, is nice looking, and enclosed enough to keep the smoke out, mostly. This is important, because the eating area at Route 66 is hard due to all the smoke that enters and isn't good for appetites, in my opinion. That being said, the food at Fatburger is good. Not amazing, great. Not gross, disgusting. Just good, which is good, for a burger joint. The options available for the burger is plentiful, as well the the varieties of fries. The different types of burger options are nice too, even if it does seem a bit much at XXL burger size. The price of the food, while some may think it's high, isn't much different than that of Laguna burger, which is comparable. So, to say the price is too much, is a bit odd. Overall, the food was good. The new eating area is nice, but I still wish it was further away from the main casino area. Would I return? Maybe. But I don't know if I would make the trip all the way out to Isleta, unless I was going to something that was going on there. read more

First time ever visiting a Fatburger. I've seen them out in Las Vegas, NV on the strip but given the many options for fine dining out there I always skipped this place to enjoy the many other delights. I was so excited to hear New Mexico was getting one and boy was I even more excited when I stood in line to order. I made the mistake of getting the XXXL Burger thinking it wasn't going to be any bigger than a triple western bacon cheeseburger from Carl's Jr. boy was I wrong! That thing was huge!! It was hefty to lift and eat bite I had to open wide for the deliciousness that awaited between two buns! I decided I was going to try the chili cheese skinny fries just because I love chili cheese on my taters and the fat fries I'm not as big a fan off in general. Red Robin is about the only restaurant I'll eat them at if given I always like the thinner fries. The chili cheese fries were pretty tasty and also very messy. I recommend bringing a bib if your gonna eat them. The meat on the burger is juicy and melts in your mouth as soon as you take a bite. This place is a bit pricey so expect to pay above $10. If your bold and get the triple x be prepared to feast! If your like me and have never tried this place before. I highly recommend checking it out next time you visit Isleta Resort & Casino! read more

Finally tried fatburger! While staying at Isleta Resort and Casino decided to come here. We are from Austin, Tx so none near us. I had a original fatburger with a gluten free bun. I didn't add any extras such as cheese, bacon, etc.. The burger in itself was good. The gluten free bun wasn't bad either it was kind of dry but, it is gluten free so that is to be expected. I ordered sweet potato fries with it which were good. The service was great. The person who took our order was very attentive and friendly. She also, didn't rush us through ordered and chatted with us. I give her a 5/5. The reason for overall 3/5 is based on food in itself. It wasn't anything life changing but, just mediocre. read more

Yuck. This place was awful. It was overpriced and the burger was not even seasoned. Not a single grain of salt. The fries were awful, like freezer burnt and only half cooked without salt. I watched someone make a shake with the dirtiest blender ever that still was half full of dirty water from god knows how many shakes before it. I feel as if I have to defend this place. Some of the reviews are misleading and I would like to clarify a couple things. The thing that I don't like most is the smell of the casino! (Cigarettes) BUT that is what most casinos smell like! And I did not smell smoke in the mall like food court. So I can't take stars away for that when I know what I'm walking into. I always order my condiments light no matter where I go so they didn't give me too much lettuce or anything else. I found that it is easier and cleaner to eat like that. Now that I got that out the way here goes my review.. I had the original- adding on cheese and green chili, and the fat fries. It was better then the average burger better then Blake's soggy burger. I really liked the fact that the fries were not greasy. The best part was the Maui banana shake! They are the best!! The only burger that I can think of that I like more is White Castle but I would have to travel to get my hands on one of them. The service was friendly as well- I will be back again! read more

Food is okay- in no way does this compare to In'n' out. Honestly, I was disappointed to say the least. First off, while waiting in the 45 minute line I saw a manager that was being so mean to the gentleman helping make the milkshakes. It was apparent that he made a mistake and even though he kept apologizing she was still being so mean. It wasn't just me who noticed, the couple in front of me made a comment as well. Second, the cashier was incredibly rude. At one point when he wasn't talking over me, I asked him what flavor were the milkshakes that were being passed out as a sample he replied "i don't know, I've been up here this whole time." Yes, obviously he has but did he really have to be a smart ass about it? Finally, I got our order and got the hell out of there. Normally, I do check my order before I leave but I was so irritated at that point. I get home and I have no green chili ( that I paid extra for) and I don't have the onion rings that I ordered. So, my wife and I had a single regular whatever burger here and a pumpkin shake (it was fall, it's ok). The mall like food court is cute, but I couldn't stop staring at my burger. The shredded iceburg lettuce was thicker than the meat. What's fat about filler? What's good about it? I guess this would be a fun place to grab a bite if we were having late night drinks at the casino, but I'd have to be a few drinks in to be happy. When you compare this with all the other great burger places that have opened in Albuquerque recently, I'd have to say this is lower on my list. Way lower. Hit Rex's or Little Red Burger. Heck, swing down to Los Lunas and hit Sonic. Burgers are tough for me, though, because of all the hype these places get. LA restaurants could serve raw beef on toast and they'd be worshiped. First off all it took 30 minutes to get our food. Went up to the counter twice to see what was going on as people that came in after got their food. Lady with glasses said we were just waiting on the fries...ok, but why didnt we get our food before these ones. Gave it some more time went up to the counter again turns out 36 was written on the ticket for food somehow when we had 54 on ours and our beeper. I couldn't even eat my burger as it was ice cold from sitting out on the counter for 30 minutes. As we were leaving the lady with glasses and black hair was glaring at us as we left. On top of that a lady behind us said she ordered cheese as a $1 extra and didnt even recieve the cheese on her burger.
