Don't punish yourself by going here like I did. I saw Squeezed Juice Bar after picking up a med at Alchemist Compounders a few doors down in the same complex. It was my first time at Squeezed. A bored-looking employee was leaning on the counter and while I looked at the menu on the wall didn't greet me or ask if she could make suggestions. There were three employees there, all teenagers. While placing my order the employee plugged it in and then spun the iPad around toward me to input a tip. After that she went back to leaning on the counter. Again, no pleasantries, so I went into the lounge area to wait. I suppose that's the level of customer service the business is fine with. I ordered a medium SoBerrySlim, as their small options had been crossed out on their smoothies. The drink had raspberry, blueberry, strawberry, almond milk, protein, and ice. Only one other customer was in the business, so I'm not sure why my drink took as long as it did. When I got it, I tried a sip while walking out and immediately dropped it into the trash can just inside the door as I exited. It tasted almost matcha/earthy without a hint of any sweetness. I imagine it's the type of drink I'd buy if I was trying to punish myself for enjoying life. Overall, don't punish yourself. Bored teens will take a long while to make you a drink that tastes like unhappiness in smoothie form. I sure won't be returning. read more

I typically choose squeezed as my "go to" when it comes to an açaí bowl. I also refer friends and family. I do see the improvements made to their environment and website over the years. However my last experience left me disappointed. My bowl was very runny, watery consistency. The girl was so kind and remade it. That's when I noticed large chunks of ice . It seems the product quality has gone down. I haven't ever had ice, much less chunks of ice in my bowl. I'm guessing the first bowl was blended completely and that's why it was watery. Maybe they're using new product or watering it down? But $25 for two bowls of that quality doesn't sit well with me. read more

Hit or miss with this place. Went yesterday smoothie bowl was great looked great and was thick and delicious. Got one today and it looks terrible it's all melted like it wasn't blended with enough frozen stuff and the toppings are all falling inside it.... it's good but wish they were better with consistency..: Update; went again today and my bowl looks and tastes amazing. Went in a couple months back for the first time and tried a shot of their ginger, turmeric, and cayenne pepper juice. Its like 2 oz of instant pick-me-up and great for the immune system (I would add some garlic, but that would be little rough on the taste). I also tried one of their Acai Bowls (clue cruise) with all the important things in life- açaí, blueberries, bananas, and coconut flakes. So good and i highly recommend. The only negative about this place, and it's only a negative if you live on the south side of town, is that it's located one block south of Paseo del Norte Boulevard. For those north, it's a great location on San Pedro just one block east of Int. 25. Easy access on and off the freeway. For those who live south, the haul is well worth it. They use all fresh fruits and all freshly squeezed juices. All. No concentrated juices. No ice creams or sherbets. Their soy and almond milks do not have added sugar. Same with their non-fat yogurt. They have a variety of acai bowls with a variety of fruit, some with non-fat yogurt, granola, apple juice, almonds or skim milk. Fresh muffins and scones for those wanting something on the more decadent side. These guys are so aware of locally-grown and sustainability, they focus on using fresh seasonal ingredients, so smoothies, juices and acai bowls may vary season to season. This place is ideal for those wanting to eat healthy and who wish to not only support local, but local with an awareness for sustainable practices. Oh, and they are open really early and really late. Squeezed is by far the best juice bar in Albuquerque. It's not too sugary or overwhelming like some other places. They have a great selection of cold pressed juices and smoothies as well. However, my personal favorite thing from squeezed are their Açaí Bowls. The Blue Cruise is to die for, and the Brazilian Fusion is equally as good. I got the quinoa salad (delicious, great portion) and the acai bowl in mango tango(something like that) and without bananas because I am allergic. It was the best thing to ever hit my mouth!!!! I travel for work but live in Albuquerque. On my last assignment I was staying in a hotel in a business complex with one Starbucks so the line was phenomenally long so for one week I wasn't able to get my coffee in the morning but instead was picking up a fresh pressed juice at the juice bar in this business complex. I realized after five days how much better I felt in general my skin look better I wasn't missing the Coffee nor was I getting headaches are feeling tired. As a result I tried the same thing in another city well with three I'm back home in Albuquerque, so in order to keep on with my good habits I came to yelp looking for a fresh pressed juice place and found Squeezed! The Sweet Fire I can literally drink every day and the Green Machine is my motivation for drinking my veggies in the first place. The first time I walked in I was a little overwhelmed by the options: smoothies, cold pressed juices, build-your-own cold pressed juices, wellness shots and acai bowls. The woman working walked me through it all and helped me make selections that I loved. I've only had the cold pressed juice and smoothies here, but would love to try their other offerings in the future. The price of the smoothies seemed on point with other smoothie places I've been to, but as I'm new to juice bars I was a little surprised at the 9$ price tag for a bottle of cold pressed juice. I've had the Radiance and the Cranberry Crusher juices and they were fantastic, worth the nine bucks. I have loved every smoothie I've tried there as well, including So Berry Slim, Pump It Up, Recovery Blast, and Pre-Workout Surge (apparently smoothies that have fitness related names are my jam? Lol). Everything I have had has been super refreshing. Like Wes T, I'm also not "a big juice bar guy". My wife goes crazy over the stuff, what's that about? Somewhere along the line my tastebuds lost their love for the simple things in life, like peaches and sour patch kids and apple juice, only to fall victim to supposedly "mature" textures and flavors like petit sirah and filet mignon and orange chiles, all of which wreak havoc on my insides. What a shame. This whole grown-up thing is such a sham. I wish I could be like my wife, who never lost that childlike abandon and still gets geeky when she knows a mango banana smoothie is coming her way. Thus, I'm not the best authority for rating this business, but I'll remark that this place makes a delightful cup of juices. Upon recommendation from an incredibly cool and friendly employee I tried the Recovery Blast with whey protein at 10am and I was happy through mid-afternoon. The drink was delightful and I loved that the calorie and protein count were listed on the menu. The place was incredibly clean (the floor was mopped while I sipped) and it had a great vibe, some tables, a couch, magazines, a really nice spot to chill after a workout or just lounge away from the heat. I LOVE ACAI BOWLS. Like, it's kind-of a problem. So when I saw a sign that said "Best acai bowls in New Mexico!" I figured I should give it a try. What I should have thought about when reading that statement is 'they're the only acai bowls in New Mexico' but I was too excited to even consider a 'what if' scenario. The two gals at the counter were kind and welcoming. I don't remember exactly what I got, but I asked that the granola be substituted with additional fruit, and they were more than willing to customize my order. I got it to-go, and when I got to my destination, not even two minutes away, the bowl might as well have come with a straw because it was a smoothie. Now, anyone who knows acai bowls knows that these are creamy and thick, not thin and watery. So, before I even took a bite I was skeptical of their claims that drew me to them in the first place. Now, the first bite. I wanted it to be delicious, I so badly wanted it to be everything that it wasn't. It was bland, runny, and I kept getting chunks of the acai blend. I didn't want to eat the whole thing, but I wasn't about to waste a $7 breakfast. Had I stayed in to eat it, I probably would have taken it back to the counter. I have been looking for a place like this in New Mexico for two years. I had no idea it existed until this weekend. And, they are opening a second location in nob hill. The owner is hands on and seems to work daily. He was very friendly and cared that I enjoyed my drink and bowl. The blue cruise is a layer of smoothie, fruit and granola. The smoothie layer included almond milk, acai, honey, blueberries, and whey protein. The next layer was granola with flax and pumpkin seeds. The top layer was a mix of blueberries and banana. Oh so good. I like the smoothie in place of yogurt. The quinoa salad was simple and tart. I also bought the one day cleanse. They make it the same day you order it and use fresh veggies and fruit. It was not as easy as I thought it would be. I got hungry. They recommend eating jicama, cucumber or celery. However, I needed something more substantial. It got to a point where I had to decide between eating a meal or biting someone's head off. Perhaps they can create a 1/2 day cleanse. I'm a fan! read more

3-day juice cleanse I purchased the 3-day juice cleanse, and was told business does not stamp loyalty cards (card where one juice gets one stamp and after 10 you get one free) on cleanses, not for the 18 juices, nor even one stamp for each of the days, which would have been 3 stamps. I would advise anyone thinking of doing a juice cleanse to sample cold-pressed vs regular juice to decide which they think will fit their needs. I understand there is a discount of $0.94 per juice on the 3-day cleanse, however, loyalty cards are a way to encourage loyalty, not just a monetary discount.
