Smooth, rich, and balanced with a nice chocolate note that hangs around just long enough to make you take another sip. No bitterness. No burnt taste. Just a clean, well-roasted cup that says someone here actually cares about the beans. The shop itself has a personality, which I always appreciate. It's decorated with fishing lures, fish artwork, and sculptures scattered around the place. Naturally this leads to the obvious conclusion: the owner is either an avid fisherman... or coffee roasting is just the side hustle between trout expeditions. Either way, the theme works. The space feels relaxed, creative, and comfortable. The kind of place where you can sit with a cup and not feel rushed out the door. And speaking of doors, while I was there there was a steady flow of customers coming in and out. That's usually the universal coffee signal for yep, this place is doing something right. Even when you are missing something on plate it took another few minutes to get I ordered avocado on the side and they forgot twice to get me that side, and when did it was a small portion that I had paid for and my food got cold. Silver ware was dirty, had to ask for plastic silverware. Also they ran out of some stuff by the time we were able to order. Me and my group of 6 people, were not really satisfied; and we aren't from Albuquerque so if you're a tourist I wouldn't recommend here unless you have a lot of time! & want actual good service.
