Last time I went was when I still live in the Bay Area and it was cheap. $6 cookie is insane to me and what happened to the $3 cookie and they were the cheapest there. They are The Ritual cookie. I got the ginger molasses and the snickerdoodle. They are soft cookies not too big, not overly sweet either. The highlight of the day was the beautiful flowers from really nice lady. Most of the vendors had samples which I like the most. Everyone was so friendly. I probably go again if it wasn't allergy season.

The markets are located from Truckee to Roseville and include seasonal markets, such as this one, as well as year round markets. This market is Saturdays only from June 6-November 21, 8:30am-12:30pm. There is a year round market a few miles away in Roseville in the Whole Foods Market parking lot (at the Fountains on Galleria Blvd. & East Roseville Parkway from 8:30am - 1pm on Tuesdays) . There are typically around twenty vendors at this Rocklin market. All of the produce is sold by the growers themselves so you can really get the inside scoop on their products and how they are grown. There are also items available like fresh baked breads, cookies and even tamales. On this visit there was also a fresh flower vendor, honey vendor and even some live acoustic entertainment. When you buy an item from any of the vendors you can also get a ticket to enter a weekly drawing to win a free item from RC Wiiley. This week's giveaway was for a mini-fridge. Overall, it's a nice little pop-up and I can always count on finding some flavorful items fresh from the farm. On this visit I was on the hunt for some cherry tomatoes and found some tasty little gems grown by Willow Creek Ranch in Penryn. They also shut down multiple streets during the market, so be aware that you may get redirected depending on which way you're driving in or leaving. There are lots of pet dogs everywhere, so consider yourself warned. If you're not a dog person, this might not be your vibe. But if you are, it's such a fun place to see the cutest dogs of all different breeds, or even bring your own along. They have so many vendors, from fresh flowers, produce, and meats to local organizations, museums, live music, and, most importantly, food. I love the variety of food you can try, and there are plenty of samples throughout the market. They also have a small kiddie play area, which is a nice bonus if you're bringing little ones. Just be prepared because it gets hot, there is no seating, and people can sometimes be rude or get a little too close in the crowds. That's pretty typical anywhere with a large gathering, though. Overall, I really like this specific farmers market because there's so much to see and do that it's actually worth making a trip out for. This was my first time here and won't be my last.

Beautiful Tuesday…read more The farmers market is always a relaxing walk up and down a few parking rows for me. We parked pretty far away amd were able to stop by the SPCA mobile. We saw a beautiful dog dog getting adopted! It is only small few rows, farmers with their own banners, tables, and table tents. I was really hoping there would be some heirloom tomatoes...but maybe it was too early. There was still wonderful produce, kettle corn and more! We did stop to buy some lemons. They were huge! The oranges are beautiful some of the vendors even cut some of their fruit in half to show off how delicious they looked! I was amused by the love lettuce gardens, roots and all that kept live goldfish underneath. I wish I would've asked more questions...like, does the fish come with it? I'll find out for sure next time!

I've been satisfied with the quality of the fruits and vegetables purchased here. Like all farmer's markets the prices are a little higher than Safeway, Raley's or Save Mart but the tastiness of the fresh produce justifies the extra pennies. A traditional Chinese chive pie or flat dumpling, it was filled with fresh chicken, egg, rice noodles and chive. She asked if we wanted sauce for dipping and I'm sure glad we said yes, because it's VERY good and gave just the right amount of oomph the pocket needed! My hubby absolutely loved his!
