This Famers Market is located in Central Park. We came on a Saturday when their hours were 8a-1p. They are also open later in the day on Wednesdays--April to August hours are 4-8p, & September to March hours are 3-6p. Vendors are lined up on both sides creating a long straight walk with some of the area under a covered pavilion. There was a lot to see--produce, nuts, honey, meats, cheese, chocolates, baked goods, flowers, plants, arts & crafts, & more. Organizations also had booths set up on the end opposite the pavilion. Street performers added musical entertainment. It's a neat stroll & a lot of people were out browsing & purchasing. The park offers a nice setting to enjoy any eats you purchase & there are restroom facilities. Note--Signage states no animals are allowed where food is sold (except for service animals). read more

I was pressed for time so I didn't have time to explore the entire market, but I really enjoyed walking through a part of the Davis Farmers Market on a Saturday afternoon. I'm giving this 5 stars because the farmers market is next to a bicycle club with public toilets. It's great to have access to toilets, especially if you plan to shop, eat, and have a picnic after picking up local produce. It was our lucky day. Here on a day that the market was open. It's a smaller market than Sacramento but still nice things to purchase. We were looking at the vegetables in particular. My wife spotted some fantastic looking heir loom tomatoes. Wow they were huge so we had to get one. Still have to eat it later today to know if it was worth it. Great farmer's market with your typical honey, bread, pastries, food stands, eggs beef seafood. Fruit and veggies are especially fresh, just a little overpriced. Standouts are pears, plums, apple juice, and pure raw honey (for the price) basically everything is good and fresh. The people here are all nice and the atmosphere is great. This weekend, I stopped by the Davis Farmers Market, and I was really impressed with how much they had to offer! The farmers market is located in the heart of downtown Davis, and it was easily accessible and walkable. I arrived in the afternoon, and there was still a good amount of foot traffic. The farmers market wraps up around 1pm, so I did my shopping quickly. The food vendors are located on one end. I ordered the vegetable samosas from Kathamunda ($6 cash only). My friend and I walked towards the other end of the market, and we passed by several vendors selling fresh produce. I love seeing what's in season, and there were several vendors selling blueberries, snap peas, swish chard, among other fruits and veggies. I picked up a bag of small avocados ($8) from a vendor that sources from Riverside. Finally, I circled back to Rainwater Ranch for a fresh bouquet. My bouquet of statice (in a bright and vibrant varietal) was $12, but I rounded up with a tip. Overall, the Davis Farmers Market has a good location, friendly vendors, and fair prices. My absolute favorite farmers market! This farmers market has changed my perspective on farmers markets and unfortunately for me, not many have come close to it. My standard has definitely been set high. I love all the fresh produce, juices, wines, sauces, breads, food tents/trucks, etc. I love going on Saturdays for more of my produce purchases and on Wednesdays for more food/drinks/desserts with friends. Bought some fruit and veggies and also some bread to take home. I'm going to need to add to this review because I forgot to take pictures so I would remember the venders that I like. Lots of vendors, foods, pastries, drinks, etc. There's a really clean public bathroom. I saw two staff resting by the bathroom for a bit. There's a playground, beautiful garden, and even a merry-go-around. The dim sum was so good, pastries were perfectly sweeten (not overly sweeten like at grocery stores), and even tried the Turkish coffee. Coffee was really good. Not bitter, smooth and easy to drink. My little one got a few popsicle and a few goodies from here. We will definitely go here again! Parking is a little hard to get. Oh! There's a Crepeville right across the street too! read more

Davis Farmers Market is a huge market with a lot of different stands. The environment / vibe of it is what makes it my favorite Farmers Market. There's lots of grass next to the market which allows for a nice picnic after Farmers Market shopping. Everything feels very relaxed, which feels perfect for an early Saturday morning. The booths have such a large variety of things from crafts to produce to bakery items. I love trying all the different foods at the Market! My favorite was the Bolani Flatbreads and pesto sauce. The culture of the Farmers Market is so distinct and popular that it sells its own cute Davis Farmers Market hats with a Watermelon on it ($15)! As a local, this is the spot to go. This farmers market is located in Central Park. It's in the heart of Downtown Davis too so it's nice to walk around town and drop by. You can purchase fresh and organic produce. There's a variety of art vendors and local restaurants that have pop ups. Sometimes theres music. I used to go to the Davis Farmer's Market a lot before the pandemic. But I haven't been back since. Imagine my surprise when I went a few weeks ago. Not only has the number of vendors increased, but the variety was really impressive. Starting with the produce vendors, the seasonal offerings were spectacular. From apples to root vegetables and everything in between. Other food related stalls included olive oil, wine, juices, cheese, jams, pastries and meat. We sampled sweet and savory pastries along with coffee and juices. There were so many things to choose from, it was hard to choose. The standouts were the fresh lemonade, Pachamama coffee and the hand pies. But the highlight for me were the flowers. I'm not much of a flower person, but in early Fall with the colors starting to turn to gold, amber and brown, the brilliant purples, yellows and reds were fantastic. The Davis Farmer's Market has got to be the #1 thing to do if you are ever in Davis. It seems like things get started early, around 7AM. The Market consists of food, fruits and vegetables grown locally and miscellaneous stands, like hats, badges and establishments promoting themselves, like museums, fundraisers and churches. Honestly, a bit of everything. I'm around Davis a lot, but never came around to the Market. So when I pulled up, I definitely balled out and got a lot of things: fruit, a hat and breakfast. I mean, have you been to Davis if you haven't gone to its fabulous Farmers Market? I consider Central Park to be the heart of the city, where all things stereotypically Davis occurs. Although it's the venue to so many other events, the weekly Farmers Market speaks to the whole identity of what Davis is. Small business, small batch, local ingredients, good agriculture, quality produce, good people (and vendors) all make up this local economy. Davis is at a constant influx between residents and new comers being a heritage town but also a college town, but the one thing that grounds us is this Farmers Market. It goes without saying that the produce you'll come across will be immaculate. It glistens. It's the best farmers have to offer. On the other side is its plethora of small business located just outside of Central Market. All the restaurants side by side for you to try! And do try everything. Im partial to the Hotdogger at the farmers market than at their permanent location. Something about joining the crowd sitting on the grass or in the garden makes it so scenic. The body slows down and learns how to stroll when you're at a farmers market like this. Additionally, micro business run by students unofficially associated with the Farmers Market supply you with good and affordable vintage or small crafts. It's like a precursor to the Craft Fair, also hosted at the Central Market. But when you visit on the weekend, you get the full breathe of what this place has to offer. It's small, it's reliable, it's specialized. Such a sweet dream. Personal favorites that are Special to this farmers market is the stand is of course, The Hotdogger, Ratzlaff Ranch's Apple Juice (in slushy form!), the plant vendors, any flower bouquets (always so seasonal and unique), and any stone fruit vendor. I try to hit this market up at least once a month. So many fresh pastries, produce, meats and cheeses. Lots of friendly vendors offering samples and reasonably priced homemade goods. Half of its covered and the other half is along sidewalk and park area. Tried a yummy strawberry lemonade popsicle and dumplings for dinner tonight. Busiest I've ever seen it for the years I've visited from Dixon. Highly recommend you get there early due to parking issues. It's open Saturdays 8a-1p and Wednesday nights from 3p-6p. Met some friends at the Davis Farmers Market. The wide aisled market was spread out to be very comfortable. A grassy area is next to the market where people can sit and enjoy their snacks or meals they purchase. A big variety of vendors from food pop ups, cheese, bread, plants and produce. The weather was beautiful so many were taking advantage of the sunny day. Half people were masked in this outdoor venue. The mist popular food trucks appeared to be the dim sum (didn't try it guessing not a lot of dim sum In Davis) and the Fat Face fruit popsicles (unique flavors and only $3). I love Davis Farmer's market! It provides access to a diverse array of the freshest and healthiest produce. I bought some organic salad greens and it lasted longer in my fridge than grocery bought produce. The nectarines and peaches are the sweetest ones I have tasted. There are also asian veggies which I appreciated. There was a mushroom stand with a variety to choose from. I just love to get my produce here because I know where my food is coming from. Buying local, organic and seasonal fruits and veggies and supporting local farmers help me reduce my carbon footprint. Customer service is awesome. Everyone is friendly. I love chatting with he farmers and asking them where their farm is. Tamales stand sells great tamales and breakfast burrito. There are also other food stands that offer Indian food, pastries (vegan), bread and more. Parking is not a problem if you get there early. Davis Far Mar is so cute!! My friend and I were visiting Davis for the weekend and our friend took was to the Farmer's Market on a busy Saturday morning around 11:30 and it was so crowded and lively. There's tons of small businesses and we got the famous fresh apple juice and it was so crisp and good, totally worth it! We got food from the Dumpling House Booth and sat down in the big grass area to picnic and enjoy our food and it was a vibe. We got a couple different dumpling options to try and they were all so tasty, my favorite was the chicken & shrimp dumplings. On Saturday my boyfriend, daughter and I stopped by Davis's oldest park that opened in 1937 to check out this huge award winning farmer's market, one of the first in California that opened in 1976! I purchased, iced chai tea, apple juice, cheese, macarons, breakfast for us and face masks and everything was amazing! My daughter also had a blast thanks to their 2 amazing playgrounds, sliding down the slides, climbing and socializing with other children! We even spied an old-fashioned pedal-powered carousel now that California is fully open, we will definitely be trying our next visit to the park! I visited the Farmer's Market this morning for the first time in what feels like an eternity! And I was so so impressed with how things have changed to accommodate Covid-19. The biggest change being the set up of the market itself, moving half the stalls further out from the canopy as to create a walkway where 6 feet of distance is manageable (before there was absolutely no way!). I also love the fact that many mask vendors have popped up and have started selling handmade (and high quality) fabric masks - I picked up this really cool Star Trek inspired one this morning along with a healthy bag-full of produce. I have never found another place to get fresh broccolini and at such a great price! I truly missed my weekly visit to the Davis Farmers Market but I remain hopeful that it won't take an eternity before I rekindle the tradition and can shop safely for all my local and organic produce. read more

It took us about an hour to explore with munching time at the beginning. Food stands - Corn dog stand with tons of different flavors, one with acai bowls and fruit juices, and several others. Leave some room for the many cherries later on. Stalls are predominantly fruits and vegetables, with much fewer items for home grown honey, different flavored butters, Middle eastern pastries, and kettle corn. There's only two stands I recall that were selling baskets and clothes. Located conveniently in downtown, so grab brunch later if you're still hungry. read more

One of the best farmers markets. All the produce are ultra fresh. Patrons are mindful of social distancing. Sellers from one stand selling cherries were not wearing masks. A couple of public health ambassadors asked them to mask up & even offered the two sellers masks which they refused with an explanation of being vaccinated.
